Handsome, rich, and successful; Aiden Costello has everything Megan ever thought she wanted. I received an advance copy of this debut novel. I instantly connected with Megan and the doubts she wrestled with as I believe we all wonder about the “what if’s” in life and if we are living the best version of our lives. And, I’m a sucker for romance that comes with adversity instead of painting life as a flawless fairytale. I look forward to reading the sequel.

This debut novel by Amy-Catherine is a delight. A light relief from the real world. An easy read with engaging characters that you find yourself invested in. Great descriptions to help you visualise and imagine yourself alongside. I didn’t want it to end and can’t wait for the next book!

You've ever been in a marriage and came across and old fling or just somebody you that was supposed to be the one. That's what you will get from reading this novel. Either you go left are you go right for love, either way the choice is yours. I high recommend this novel!

What an enjoyable read!

I received an ARC of One Night Forever and was captivated by the story and the characters immediately. Megan Ashton wants a little of what her friends have, a little spark and excitement in her mundane existence. All it takes is one night. She gets what she wishes, but so much more.

One night Forever is whimsical and romantic, sexy and funny, but also serious and heartbreaking at times. Megan thought she knew where all the pieces fit in her life. She was wrong.

If you like romance and some intrigue, heartfelt relationships and unbreakable bonds of friendship, you’ll love One Night Forever. The book ends on a cliffhanger, so I’m waiting anxiously for the sequel! I would highly recommend.

On the Fourth of May a new book from Rethoric Askew Publishing appears, called One Night Forever. A book about love you can order through Amazon.

Love is never as easy as it looks. But what if, one evening, you look back on your life and you decide you got stuck in a dead-end job? Megan is in that situation. Her friends made a beautiful career and she’s still stuck in that shop. Didn’t we all ask ourselves that question one moment or the other?

And then there is Aidan. He’s successful. The prince on the white horse, maybe, except he doesn’t ride a horse, but comes with a limousine. As both prepare for a night out with their best friends, nothing suggests they ever meet (well, actually, that’s not true. They are together in a book, after all).

In fact, Megan is on the receiving end of things, though she’s unaware of what really comes her way. When they sit in an Asian restaurant (where else can you find any decent food in London?) Emma, one of her friends, makes an astounding proposition. One that might change her entire outlook on life. She offers her… But discover that on your own, please.

The story really pops in chapter six. They’re in a club and two pair of eyes meet for the briefest of moments and… Well… Once again, something you must discover on your own. What made this sixth chapter so powerful was a single sentence that popped out for me: She looked like she wasn’t breathing.

Try to imagine that. They look at one another (preferably not too long, imagine the consequences if she really didn’t breathe at all) and while nothing is said, nor anything is insinuated, you feel there happens a lot in that one sentence. This is an author in full control of her characters in a way I wish I could say the same about mine. But I’m digressing and the girl in her golden dress has something to do with that…
Drinks

It all starts rather innocently, when Aidan pays for all of her drinks. He doesn’t know her. He never talked to her and yet he decides of his own free will to pay for her drinks. And that of her friends, too. If you ever received that gift, you know that’s the start of something. I mean: you drink more when it’s free, right?

It soon turns into more, as well, though with a twist. Aidan and Megan go out to have… a pizza. Of all things.

And so Earth turns around because, well, there is no such thing as a coincidence. Not here, sir. Lady. So, expect some twists you didn’t see coming. And thank god for secrets. Yes. I admit it. I make less and less sense. But I love it. The book, I mean. And especially the conflict.

This is a book about love. I like a good Hallmark movie, though all those love stories are always the same. Boy meets Girl. Both are attracted to one another. Then a secret of their past comes above (and oh, there are some juicy secrets out there) and they split only to get re-united at the end when either the boy or the girl discovers their error.

There are a few secrets – but it comes as a surprise nevertheless. It hurt – more than I want to admit. And while love is a very beautiful thing, it’s capable of doing the worst atrocities. Because it’s always your fault.

A book is about conflict and that’s what you get. But don’t be surprised it comes with a twist – as anything in this story. I can’t help but say I read it in only a few takes. It’s witty, well written and though you know what happens, it somehow gets you to that point where you think: Darn, I didn’t see that one coming.

May the Fourth be with you.

Amy Beckinsale's debut novel, One Night Forever, is not just a love story, it's a story about friendships and following your passion. Filled with surprises, my favorite parts of this novel involved Meghan interacting with her friends because they ring true to life. I particularly enjoyed the dialogue. One Night Forever shows how a chance encounter can completely alter your entire life.

A really enjoyable light hearted read that had well rounded characters themselves and the characters were quite relatable... although I’d like to be as rich as Aiden but I have not found myself in those situations! A good story, ideas for holidays... when we’re eventually allowed out out!

This is an easy read. I started it yesterday morning when it was delivered to my phone and I finished it. The author did a great job making the main character, Megan, easy to identify with. It's the classic poor woman meets a rich hunky man, but with a unique twists, flare, and personality.

I hope the author is coming out with more. I would definitely take some more romance like this!

I have to admit my only experience with romance is reading Bridget Jones's Diary series when I was a teenager, however, even without much experience with the genre it's easy to recognise a well-written book and One Night Forever definitely falls into that category. It's an extremely enjoyable read, I've finished it within few days and now can't wait for the next one to come out! I absolutely loved all of the characters and wish I could be a part of their friendship group.

An absolutely fabulous debut, excited to read more of Amy's books in the future.

I am not at all a romance fan so I'm not confident in saying what makes for a good YA romance or not. All I can say is that Beckinsale's characters develop well, have suitable flaws, and are consistent.

The writing style makes this book easy to read. Overall, a well-written debut. I look forward to seeing more from this author.

Title: One Night Forever By Amy C Beckinsale

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Stars

I received this book by the author, in exchange for an honest review.

This is the first book in the One Night Forever Saga.

Prepare to be swept off your feet by 'One Night Forever' from the talented Amy C. Beckinsale! Dive into a world where chance meetings ignite sparks of passion and the pursuit of dreams leads to a whirlwind of emotions.

After a chance encounter shifts her perspective, Megan Ashton reflects on her stagnant job and unfulfilled dreams in the world of art. When her best friend invites her to a night out in London, she seizes the opportunity for change. This decision leads to meeting Aidan Costello. The handsome, charismatic CEO of JMC (to which she does not know at the time of accepting a position at JMC) and sparks fly.

Despite their undeniable chemistry, they must weigh the risks of pursuing their desires against potential consequences beyond their relationship.

Beckinsale skilfully intertwines ambition, desire, and risk as the characters explore their developing romance within the complexities of their careers.

With a captivating story and fiery sparks flying between the leads, "One Night Forever" is a must-grab for those who crave hot contemporary romance!

I hate cliffhangers!

356 pages and the author couldn't finish the story, and no warning that it ends with a cliffhanger. The writing is mediocre and there are some typos. This is written in third person view. But there are some parts that felt like it's being narrated to me in person rather than following along with the narrator. Aidan is so perfect in every way that I'm having a hard time conmecting with him. For a ruthless businessman, I'm also amazed of how accepting he is and welcoming to new people infiltrating his click. It's basically predictable and boring until you get to 95% of the story, where the author decided to add the conflict and you're thinking "how is it going to be resolved in 3 pages?" Well, that's when you get the surprise that it has no ending. I think this story has a potential if the author would've taken the time to outlined her story. I wouldn't have picked this up if I knew there is no ending.

A young woman approaches the big 3-0, ready for a change. And she goes for it, joining her friends in the city and landing a new job. On their celebratory night out, Megan encounters a gorgeous guy, Aidan, and sparks fly. One night, and she may have found everything she ever wanted...but, of course, there are some bumps in the road and a big surprise that only adds to the charm of this story.

I loved Megan, empathizing with her dreams of something more. And, of course, Aidan is an absolute dreamboat. It was enjoyable watching them fall in love, and modern London and its environs made for a lovely setting. I adored their friends, so funny but loyal, their commentary made me smile and laugh throughout.

This is a wonderful debut, and a fun, easy romance if you're looking for something to lift your spirits. I can't wait to see what happens next for Megan & Aidan!

Though this is a romance, I quickly learned the story is about the secret between Aiden and Megan. He's her boss and no one at the office can know. I'd say the first two thirds of the book deal around the drama of their secret, and the last third is about the happily ever after. There were a ton of fun, sweet, and joyous moments throughout this entire novel to make the reader feel good. And the lightness of it all was a drastic change to the typical romance novels I've read. Happy all the way through and very adorable.

Love At first sight book
Narrator did a great job
I didnt agreed with how she had to leave her job because of their relationship and how she just rolled over and accepted that as life.
It got interesting near the end but there wasnt much excitment during the 1st 3/4 of the Book.
The author did a great job with the writing itself.

This was boring. It reminded me of a friend telling you about a dream they had. Interesting to them, but no one else.
So much plot, but never went anywhere and so many details that meant nothing. And this goes on for two more books?

Delightful mix of light & cloud

So many moving moments, so much humour, so dark a backstory, so sweet the interactions.

A very well balanced contemporary romance with just the right blend of unfair reality and fairytale wonder.

Will definitely be looking for book 2.
