This was my first book by Nikki Mays but I can promise it won't be my last. I loved her writing and character development. It kept me intrigued the whole way through not to mention Elena's snarky comebacks are one in a million!
Elena--is a feisty nurse that met Darrin by chance when he showed up in the ER. Despite his good looks they can't stand each other. They fight constantly and the whole town knows it. Elena has been cheated on and is now a workaholic but when fate puts her and Darrin together for two weeks with they give into their feelings or will they kill each other?
Darrin--is a cop and built like a Greek God. He's been cheated on leaving him to swear off women and love so when Elena tests him, he fights back. Now that he's been shot and is on the mend and forced to stay with Elena for two weeks he has to admit how he really feels.
Can these two make a relationship work or are they doomed from the start?

This was an enjoyable read. I wish I hadn't waited so long to read it. Darrin and Elena are the couple that acted like they hated each other but in reality they wanted each other. When Darrin is shot Elena takes care of him. Of course they fight it but by the end they finally admit things.

Oh my gosh, if you love witty characters, sizzling dialogue and sparks flying you need to get Stuck with You! While this is part of a series by different authors, you do not need to read the other books to enjoy this one. Darrin is a cop in this small town and is closed off from having any relationship with a woman. After finding his ex cheating on him, he turned into more of a surly grouch. Around that time, he was injured on duty and was brought to the ER where he met the curvaceous Elena. He was rude and a jerk and Elena fired back. After that, they became the town's entertainment if they were in any proximity to each other. Two years later, he is shot in the line of duty protecting the mayor's wife. Said mayor's wife manipulates the situation and forces Elena to care for Darrin for the next two weeks. This is a disaster in the making and there is no way that the old saying is true, that there is a fine line between love and hate, right?
I have loved Nikki Mays from the first sentence of her second book in the SAPD SWAT series. She knows how to write dialogue that feels real, like you are overhearing a conversation. Her characters are unique without feeling like caricatures, no random odd personality traits thrown together and a name slapped on them here. This lady knows how to entertain the reader from start to finish with amazing characters both main and secondary, a plot that holds your attention in a vice grip and enough steam to require a fan and ice water. 7 stars for Stuck with You!

This is my new favorite author. I discovered this book after reading her SAPD SWAT series and the first two books in the Ross trilogy (eagerly awaiting book 3) - which I highly recommend and this book did not disappoint. Darrin is a police officer who's sworn off love after walking in on his fiancee cheating. Elena is an ER nurse who also had her heart broken by a cheating fiancee. They meet when he's brought into the ER after an on the job injury and the sparks (and insults) fly. They fight like cats and dogs and their snark fests are known throughout their town - which speaks to both it's size and how often he gets injured. When he presents in the ER with a gun shot wound, the two are coerced into him convalescing at her home since she'll be on vacation. The opposites continue to rub each other the wrong way as their bickering continues but when they run into her ex at the grocery store, he jumps in with much needed moral support. This marks a change in their relationship as they acknowledge the attraction between them that everyone else knows is the cause of their sparring. As an aside, the secondary characters including his fellow officers and her parents are hilarious. I would read books featuring his coworkers. Their relationship is progressing smoothly (well for them anyway) and all that sexual tension explodes in the bedroom, until they run into his ex at the grocery store. The encounter brings all her insecurities rushing back and he pulls out the big guns to show her he's all in. Turns out opposites really do attract and can lead to HEA.

I really enjoyed Darren & Elena's story. Good characters. Loved Elena's comments...lol. This was such a fun read. I received a free copy of the book. And am voluntarily leaving an honest review.

New to me author
The blurb isn't what happened. Both exes cheated but neither with a best friend. That's OK because I detest those tropes. I'm glad my real life best friends are awesome. Anyway, so far so good. I may even continue with thus author and another series
My biggest issue is that everyone talks about what a small town it is that they live in and everyone knows everyone. So why didn't these two ever cross paths before and how do neither of them not know the exes?
Except for a few issues that a better editor could help with, I liked it. Would have liked a bit of closure about the heroine's friend Ried and his gf and the girl he kissed, that wasn't his gf
Edited: I guess someone else wrote Rieds story but there's no mention of his gf Ella lol authors should compare notes whendoing a multi author series

I absolutely loved this book! I could not stop laughing at every other sentence when these 2 would start to bicker with each other. Elena's rapid fire and quick witted comebacks were hilarious and genius to how Darren would act towards her as well as to what he had said that would get her all riled up. I could not stop reading this book. I love the plot, characters and the story overall. Elena would not take anybody's bs. But, it also doesn't mean that she is indestructible especially with what her ex had put her through as well as Darren's ex in the beginning. They suit each other perfectly even if they can't really agree on anything.

These two love to fight, and are always giving their town Gossip on how they didn't get along. So naturally they got forced together after he gets hurt....
But sometimes a little change can be the best thing, after all his little spitfire brings out all the sunshine....
I enjoyed reading this shorter storey about two enemies to lovers. A little bit of insecurity and a whole lot of chemistry and you've got these two who love to fight it out.

Great storyline and character development made this book a hot and enjoyable read!

I love any book by this author because you know it’s gonna be hilarious,sassy and just plain fun.

Darrin and Elena
A good read overall. A lot of back and forth banter, which I am all for, yet on the edge of excessive. It got to be a bit ridic. Still cute though. Elena, a nurse, and Darrin, a cop, are both very stubborn people always at each other until they are thrown together.

Stuck with you was absolutely hilarious and such an amazing read. The characters and storyline were great and it keeps you wanting more. Darrin loved to see how far he can push Elena one click to find out what happens when they bare stuck together for two weeks

Another hilarious and quirky novel by Nikki Mays! I absolutely loved it. The never ending battling between Darrin and Elena was funny and a whole different spin on foreplay. It just proves that I love anything that Nikki Mays writes!

Spitfire and her Cop…outstanding
This is a good story with characters that you will enjoy. It is a humorous but not slapstick. I was captured and did not want it to end. Greatly entertaining. HEA, no cheating (at least between Spitfire and her Growly bear), and no cliffhanger.

I didn't enjoy this nearly as much as NM's other books. It was a quick read... but I found it to be too similar to her SAPD series, especially 'Frisked By You'. Still, an OK read though.

Quick read. Funny, solid bickering and chemistry. A usual Nikki Mays treasure.
It's also proof that she can write a book without a "sudden danger" plot(Yay). Female characters are still either sassy heroine(with body issues) or trashy screeching skank.

Fun and sweet
4.5 Excellent romantic comedy, with very good hilarious dialogues when the two great main characters spend their time arguing. This is a very good story of two flayed characters because they have both been betrayed by their old companions and no longer want to risk being betrayed again.
Darrin is a police officer and is shot and wounded, but when he is taken to the hospital he is treated by the only nurse he does not want, Elena. He pushes her as much as she attracts him and in response, Elena also does not hesitate to fight him back, not knowing why he is so hateful with her.
But when the mayor forces her to welcome Darrin, during the time his wound gets better, Elena and Darrin discover that their situation of permanent hatred is not the true nature of their relationship.

Great read. I just love books by this author! I can't wait to see what she comes out with next. Darrin and Elena have both been in long term relationships that ended and turned them away from dating. But there is something about being near each other that brings out unwanted feelings. So they fight it the best way they know how, fighting with each other. After saving the mayor's wife and getting I need in the process, the mayors wife has stepped in to help them out, by getting Elena to take care of Darrin while he heals. This could go two ways; he quits making her mad and does alright, or she kills him herself. This really is an enjoyable read! Voluntary review of an advanced reader's copy via booksprout

Stuck with You is the third book in a Rescue Me series by Nikki Mays and is an amazing addition to the series. This is Darrin and Elena story they are both enjoyable characters along with all of side characters that are well written. Their attraction was strong and their chemistry generated lots of sparks even when they were bickering with each other. The storyline was engaging and fun and offers a solid amount of drama, humor and emotional turmoil as this couple relationship evolves into more than they ever imagined.

This book is absolutely fantastic! It is well a written and enjoyable on the edge of your seat read that you will enjoy from beginning to end. It is relatable, sweet, funny, flows smoothly, witty and emotionally deep. The main characters (Elena and Darrin) are real, strong, and loveable; the chemistry between them is off the charts! The secondary characters add loads of entertainment and laughs to the story. A Definite Must Read!

This story is a complete comedy they hater each other from their first meeting, they both were burned by past loves. He’s a cop she’s a nurse and he is in her ER quite often with injuries when he is injured protecting the senator’s wife and she is his nurse once again the senators wife makes a recommendation if she helping Darrin recover never mind that they despise each other. Reading Elena and Darrin’s story was an enjoyable trip that I didn’t want to end an enemies to lovers romance. I voluntarily received an arc copy through Booksprout for my honest review.
