Quick read o emocionalnoj inteligenciji. Iskreno što više odmiče sve je bolja, valjda jer je priča o sreći i tuzi već poznata, a manje osvrta generalno postoji na ostale emocije

This book was an okay read for me. The author explained the most basic emotions into detail which helped give me a good understand where each emotion comes from. They talk about happiness, anger, sadness, fear, disgust, and shock/surprise. I learned a decent amount about each emotion, but I also feel like some information was things I already knew. I also didn’t feel as if they author gave enough information about how to deal with the two biggest emotions: sadness and anger, and how to properly express or regulate them.

If you are a highly emotionally intelligent person, then this book is probably not for you. It is very basic in that it doesn't go much beyond what an emotionally intelligent person should already know.

For the rest of us... This is an amazing book. It is a comprehensive yet very compact walkthrough on what emotions are, which emotions there are, why they occur, what their purposes are, how they affect us, and how to deal with them. Basically, the things we should have been thoroughly trained in from infancy through adolescence. One of the main components of becoming an adult. Do we all get this training though?

I mean, just look around you and I'm sure you will see quite a few people who are not very adult, to be honest. Guess what? It all comes down to emotions! What you do, is based on what you want, and what you want is based on how you feel. If you don't know what to do, then you probably don't know what you want, which might mean that you don't actually know what you feel, or at least what to do with it.

The main takeaways for me:
- All emotions are positive or negative, but negative emotions are not bad.
- Emotions are not harmful or wrong, we feel them for good reasons.
- Emotions lead us to something better, displeasure is just an indication that something is wrong.
- Stay with your emotions, you will figure out what the problem and the solution is.
- Do this and you will grow, this will make you feel better in a real sustainable way.
- Running away from your emotions, ignoring them, trying to replace them or distracting yourself, this does not work well in the long term!

Life is about relationships, and building relationships is impossible without empathy. By this I don't mean being generous or unselfish, but just identifying other peoples feelings. If you can't see your own emotions clearly you definitely can't see others!

I cannot enough stress the importance of developing emotional intelligence. I think a book like this can help lots of us. I know it helped me.

In my view, I enjoyed the beginning, but it quickly became too simple. I felt like I already understood or was familiar with every emotion the author was talking about. Although I did finish it, I lost interest right from the start.

One thing I observed is that there are conflicting statements that contradict what I've read in books about emotional intelligence. Particularly, when the author mentions that negative emotions help us in our growth and learning journey. While this might make sense metaphorically to some extent, it's not the negative emotion itself that assists, but rather the underlying positive emotions that come into play and contribute to personal growth – having a positive mindset.

What a fate?! For me who is looking for the things that can help me to know more about emotions, this book is really helpful. The content in this book is not really new and I can say it's become the common thing that everyone already knows. But to write it down and identify every weakness and how to make a deal with each emotion is a really great idea. Love this book!

Quick read. Should be treated more like a guide/a map of emotions. A lot of “points” & steps” to follow or recognize.
Generally speaking, it’s useful and interesting.
Although, sometimes I was annoyed hearing “in this charter you’ll learn”, or “in this book..” which made me feel I’m reasoning psychology course handbook.

This book was good but I found its really hard to get into. Was a bit rambally and I lost focus on it alot. I don't know if this is the book or my lack of interest in the subject while reading it but either way it didn't inspire me.

"A Nice Read with Limited Practical Advice"

"Master Your Emotions" by Eric Robertson offers some interesting insights into understanding and managing one's emotions. The book does a good job of highlighting the importance of emotional intelligence and provides a decent overview of various techniques to improve emotional well-being.

While the book is a nice read and presents its concepts in an easy-to-understand manner, it falls short in providing practical advice. Many of the ideas discussed feel somewhat surface-level and lack depth. The book touches on several important topics, but often leaves the reader wanting more detailed, actionable steps to implement in real life.

For those looking for a general introduction to the topic of emotional mastery, "Master Your Emotions" can be a good starting point. However, if you're seeking in-depth strategies and practical tools to apply to your everyday life, you might find this book lacking.
