Can he build a future, when he's forgotten his past?

Jared has fought hard to achieve something close to 'normal'. Needing to get away from his well meaning but suffocating family, he follows a message he wrote on a scrap of paper to a new city, hoping to find a missing piece of his past.

When Kyrone, a cocky pole dancer at the Heaven and Hell Club, saunters into the tattoo parlour Jared works in, his life is turned upside down again. A passionate one night stand turns into something unexpected for both men. But life is never simple as they work out if they can have a future beyond what has been forgotten.

Forgotten is an MM romance with hurt/comfort, a small age gap, and two men who need to learn to be true to themselves. It is the second book in the Heaven and Hell Club series and, whilst it can be read as a standalone, works better if read after Broken.

OH.MY.GOD this book! This book killed me! I couldn’t put it down! I stayed up late to finish it and it was so worth it. This book had everything. Tears, smiles, sweet moments, steamy moments, thought provoking moments. Kyrone and Jared were so amazing together, they warmed my heart. Jared’s story broke me but it was so good to read. Do you ever feel like you want to hug a book because it’s really good? I wanted to hug Forgotten. I don’t want to spoil anything but I really loved how Broken, the first book in the series, and Forgotten were connected. There is a big scene in Forgotten, and you’ll know what I’m talking about when you read it, that was so satisfying. I was holding my breath when I read it.
It’s one of those books that you just keep thinking about for days after you finish them. It really touched me and I loved every word. It’s my new favorite book from the author.

I received an ARC of this book for an honest review.

Sometimes you have to walk through hell to get a little heaven...

‘Forgotten’ is the second foray into Colette Davison’s ‘Heaven and Hell Club’ series and while I enjoyed ‘Broken’ the first book in this series for me ‘Forgotten’ was the more engaging of the stories, While Mac, Jag and Michael…especially Jag has a very strong role in this story, Jared and Kyrone remain at the front and center of this one.

‘Broken’ gave us a very brief glimpse of Kyrone as one of the dancers at the club but it’s not until this story that we really get any sense of who he is and Jared is a new character that is introduced to us in the beginning of the story so we get to meet him at the same time as Kyrone when he goes to get a new tattoo at his favorite tattoo shop.

Initially we’re given the impression that Kyrone is a bit of a player and while that may be true before Jared came along. Jared seems to trigger Kyrone’s longings for a more settled life and even though what’s between them starts off as more of a one and done, this doesn’t last long…as in before the one is done these men are both wanting more. Sometimes when it’s right, it’s right and there’s no point fighting it.

Now, in a perfect world this would all go smoothly and ta-da!!! We have a happily ever after…no, just like real life things are not that simple. Jared has issues he needs to work through before he can truly allow himself to be happy. Thankfully Kyrone wants to see where things can go between them and he’s willing not only to stick around but to be the kind of partner that Jared needs.

Here in ‘Forgotten’ the story is told through the narrations of Piers Ryman. Club Heaven and Hell is set in the UK and for me listening to it with a narrator who can provide voices that suit the geographic location is not just nice for me it’s crucial. I’ve listened to books that are suppose to be set in England or Ireland, or France or Russia and the narrators voice has left me feeling like the story’s set in the southern USA or somewhere in Canada it’s a real disconnect but having those accents feel appropriate to the actual location really goes a long way towards creating a setting that the listener can easily sit back and imagine…so bigga’, bigga’ bonus points for that.

‘Broken’ is neither a light nor fluffy story but it is a story that will touch your heart. I’ve had a very small glimpse of what Jared struggled with and honestly while I was listening to this story I remembered that brief bit of time in my life and was incredibly thankful that it was just that a very brief bit of time and my heart broke just a little bit more for this character and I was even more appreciative that he had someone like Kyrone to help him deal with the bad times.

While Kyrone and Jared’s story felt complete it also has a very natural opportunity for the author to give us more about them…specifically regarding Jared and the connection that others have to him and his past.

With this recent addition to the ‘Club Heaven and Hell’ series I know I’m firmly committed to finding out what comes next whether it’s more of existing characters or someone new being brought into the spotlight I’m more than willing to spend more time with this the men of the club and their love interest.

An audio book of ‘Forgotten’ was graciously provided by the author in exchange for an honest review.

Alright…so, I’m jumping into this at book two, without reading the first one and I feel, especially from the reviews I’ve gone back and read, that skipping the first one was a huge mistake. Unfortunately, I’m an emotional basketcase, so I didn’t think I could handle it. I’ve just gotten it though, and because I loved this story so much, I’m jumping into it.

Now, in saying how much I adored this heartbreaking story… I did not think I would feel that way. Kyrone is not my kind of guy. I don’t know if he played any part in book one, but he starts off just very conceited and full of himself and I was put off of him immediately. Meeting him when he was going to get a tattoo at Ink Envy, where Jared is apprenticing under his boss, Faye.

The guys are smitten with each other and at first, it’s meant to be a good time, though that only lasts about the first time. Kyrone does a complete 180 and gone is the good-time guy who loves attention and thinks only about himself… and when he notices Jared isn’t well, he drops everything to take care of him, even if it means the good times need to be put on hold. He’s endlessly patient and understanding and is really such a sweet support for Jared.

Jared, my heart kind of broke for. After a terrible accident, Jared wasn’t sure who he was anymore, but he was coping as best as he could with this new normal and trying to be as independent as his illness allowed him. Getting away from his overly hovering parents helped, as did getting a job and the work he spent on getting himself better, but it was still hard doing it by himself. Fortunately, he meets Kyrone, and even though he didn’t want to be a burden on him, he needed Kyrone and Kyrone was happy to be the one he leaned on when he needed someone to lean on.

There’s a part, probably a little insignificant to most who read it, but when Jared repeated this line “Then I won’t hold you to it if keeping that promise makes you miserable” … I could see every reason Kyrone fell in love with him.

I was really surprised by Jared’s parents too, they weren’t at all the way I pictured them. I’m anxious to get into Jag’s story because I knew from the moment he was reading the book, that he had some kind of tie to Jared, I just dind’t understand how heartbreaking it was. I cannot wait to jump into that emotional bag of terrorism. I have a feeling it’s going to ruin my weekend, but in the best way. I really hope there are more in this series, I’d love to see what happens with the rest of the guys at the club!!

4 stars from me. And what a sweet ending! It was perfect!

God, this baby broke my heart. Jared's story was so beautifully heart-breaking. I loved Kyrone's character and how well he cared for Jared while still not being overbearing. I loved their relationship and their story. I hadn't read Jag's story before reading this book, but now I'm going to go read Broken because I need to know Jag's full story.

I really liked the main characters of Kyrone and Jared. Kyrone is a dancer at the Heaven and Hell club, but this is mostly Jared’s story. It's the story of a young man who suffered a traumatic brain injury, spent months in a coma, and while he did survive, he has complete amnesia. His family has become complete strangers to him, no memory of any of them whatsoever. Jared relocates to Leeds in his need to get away from their hopes that he’ll remember, but also to follow the one hopeful clue to his past since he had found, a note in his handwriting, that simply read, "J./Leeds". In Leeds he gets a job as an apprentice at a tattoo parlor and meets the intriguing, if somewhat flamboyant dancer... Kyrone. Several of the men from book#1 filter throughout this story giving the two guys encouragement and friendship. I couldn't imagine how Jared ever managed to live his life with no memory after waking up from his long coma. Kyone is a bit of a surprise, but in a really good way. The author presents him just as he is and lets the reader make their own assumptions. He was so good for, and so supportive of Jared making him more than okay in my book. I had to admire how Jared handled how changed his life had become since the accident. His constant migraine headaches that plagued him almost daily. I can't imagine losing the memories of 21 years of my life...but he had Kyrone to look out for him and to love him unconditionally, never knowing what the next day might bring. This is the 2nd book in the series and on some level, I felt it was a bit better than the first book, Broken, and it received a slightly higher rating from me. The main conflict of the story is better explained and so different than anything I have ever encountered in any genera...not that Broken, the first book, isn't well worth the reading time. I seem to just have a penchant for strays, underdogs:)

I can honestly say it is amazing. It is my favorite book of Colette’s by far, and that is high praise, as all her books are amazing. BE warned your heart will ache at times whilst reading the book. but you will also get plenty of laughs.
.
Forgotten is a master piece of writing. . It is my favorite book of Colette’s by far, and that is high praise, as all her books are amazing. BE warned your heart will ache at times whilst reading the book. but you will also get plenty of laughs and a happy ending.
Whilst the main theme of the story of Jared’s recovery from a road accident, and loss of memory is not unique. The way Colette shows us his struggles to learn his past history whilst trying to find himself post-accident, is.
I could so relate to Jared’s struggles both physical and mentally. His determination to stand on his own two feet and look to the future and not dwell too much on his past is so well portrayed.
Add the snarkiness of Kyrone and his bravado, that some may take a dislike too, I saw threw his image and saw glimpses of the real Kyrone. He is there every step of the way for Jared, he doesn’t push too hard but is always there for support.

There was a real twister in the storyline, which if you have read book one, the twist will slowly reveal itself. I found it kind of exciting even when I guessed what the twist was, I wanted to reach the actual twist in the story to see how it played out. And once again I was not disappointed.
Fantastic book with real characters that you can not help to love them. I thought Colette’s portrayal of Jarods illnesses and struggles felt real.

I highly recommend this amazing book.

Where do I start? Write about how amazing Colette Davison is? Or write about how awesome this book was? Decisions, decisions...

This story is perfect as it is. Jared and Kyrone's story was so good, I really loved reading it. Jared is a cutie and so adorable, while Kyrone has a big mouth and so much courage and self -confidence. Perfect pairing. And the tattoos were cool too.

The whole car- accident and amnesia was painful to read about and I hurt fo Jared, so much. And he was so brave, I look up at him. He went into the unknown and left the safety of his home and his parent's love.

I knew there were a connection between Jared and Jag (I can't remember if it was mentioned before in Jag's story) and i couldn't wait for them to finally meet. But never imagined it would be this painful.

Jared's road to self- knowledge and the way to built a new life and a new identity, while falling in love with Kyrone - it was beautiful to watch. I loved reading every page, I connected with Jared on so many levels and some scenes cut really deep for me, and it was amazing. It was a ride for them and for me too.
This was the perfect time to read this book.

And Colette did an amazing job - again - with this book.

Highly recommend!

This is not an easy review. I just finished the book and I still have glassy eyes. I loved how the author managed to balance the romance with the angst. There are deeply touching and sad moments but Kyrone and Jared are made one for the other, and it is wonderful to read how Jared manages to start a new independent life by accepting that he sometimes will need Kyrone’s help, but that this is part of the normal dynamic of give-and-take of a love relationship. If you haven’t read the first book of this series “Broken” be aware that Forgotten contains a huge spoiler. Personally I haven’t read Broken, but it had no impact on y understanding and appreciation of the story line of Forgotten; I just decided that I had to read Broken.

This book is no easy read, but it will open your eyes on the impact of amnesia on family, friends and lovers. The author dealt with these issues perfectly and just made me appreciate her work even more.

This is Book #2 in the Heaven and Hell Club. It can completely be read alone. I loved these characters. After a devastating accident, Jared has permanent amnesia. Kyrone is an exotic dancer putting himself through university. He comes across Jared when he goes to get his latest tattoo. Their relationship is different than most. This story has meat on it's bones. With every book, COLETTE DAVISON just gets better. I loved these characters. I'm hoping there will be more books from the Heaven and Hell Club. I HIGHLY, HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS BOOK!!!!!

I have just read Broken and I'm so glad that Colette decided to to write Jared's story as I was curious about what happened to him and I felt Jag needed closure. And it didn't disappoint. What a beautiful and emotionally written story. I really felt for Jared but he found his right partner in Kyrone. They are both good for each other and I enjoyed reading their love story. Thank you for writing another great story Colette 💜

A few months earlier, Jared had a serious accident that completely changed his life. The young man lost his memory and began a long and very difficult process of fighting for his independence. Trying to find himself and start a new life, he moved to Leeds, where he took a job in a tattoo parlour.
This is where he meets Kyrone, a confident, charming pole dancer from Heaven and Hell Club. However, it quickly turns out that Kyrone is more than just a handsome face and a perfect body, which makes it harder for Jared to tell the truth about his health. Because although everyone carries their own baggage, he has a really heavy one.

"Forgotten" is the second volume of the moving and romantic series "Heaven and Hell Club" by Colette Davison. What I definitely like very much in this installment is the "loose", subtly outlined plot. It doesn't focus on some kind of a "story bomb", but on the characters' lives and their course, their problems and feelings. These aren't the topics that in real life are based on the principle of building tension in order to reach a great climax. And the fact that in "Forgotten" they are presented in such a real, natural way makes this novel so amazing, unique and in many ways beautiful. What's more, just like in real life, also in this story the characters don't face only one "opponent", because there are definitely more than one. Here are some examples: amnesia, weakness of the body, weight of other people's expectations, promise that makes you miserable, fear of the future. In short, the advantage of "Forgotten" is undoubtedly the fact that the novel presents life in a believable way.

Reviewing this novel, we certainly cannot forget about the characters, as they are the most important element of this story. Jared and Kyrone are indisputably beautiful and reading "Forgotten" we see it all the time. Their creation focuses mainly on showing the reader what kind of people these two characters are, and thus setting them in specific situations in which they can show us their true nature and personality. In this way we get to know them as if we were dealing with real people. In their case, we don't rely on assumptions, but we draw conclusions, which in my opinion is extremely important, because in this way our relationship with the characters strengthens. What's more, both Jared and Kyrone can, in some respects, be a role model for readers as they represent strength, courage and love. Colette Davison has really created valuable, wonderful characters that we easily fall in love with.

In "Forgotten" I also really liked the way the author approached the problem of amnesia. One of our main characters is a young man who doesn't remember his life before the accident he had. So we can easily guess what difficulties he has to deal with. However, Colette Davison went a step further, because she presented not only the problem of losing the memories, which to some extent results in not knowing who you are and losing your identity, but also makes us aware of the enormous burden that family and friends sometimes put on the shoulders of people with amnesia. It is worth noting, however, that the author did not focus only on this one side of the problem, but she gives us the opportunity to look at it from a different angle, from the perspective of carrying loved ones who suddenly, in the blink of an eye, become the strangers. So reading "Forgotten" we have this chance of looking at the problem of amnesia from two, in a way the most important sides, and the way the author shows them to us is really moving and allows us to really feel what the characters feel.

I think that the motif of a new beginning, which fills "Forgotten" from the very first page to the last sentence, also deserves our attention. In fact, in this novel we see the fight between the past and the present, in which the future is a reward. And this applies not only to Jared, but to almost every character we meet in this story. What is important in this case, the new beginning and the aforementioned fight originate from this one person, one soul, one light (as Chester Bennington sings in Linkin Park's song "One More Light"). In "Forgotten", Colette Davison shows us that one life, one person influences the lives of many others. Imagine a knitted sweater. When one loop breaks, it affects the entire stitch and the adjacent stitches. And that's what we see in this novel in which Jared influences his loved ones and some other people who surround him. I think that this representation of the essence of human life is really beautiful, even if our characters have to go through lots of drama and pain for us to realize it.

To sum up, "Forgotten" is a perfectly written novel, with deep story, lively, wonderful characters and some beautiful feelings. This book will give you hope for a better future, strength to survive difficult moments, courage to be happy. Believe me, reading "Forgotten" you will fall in love with it.

___________________________

To właśnie tam poznaje Kyrone, pewnego siebie, czarującego tancerza na rurze z klubu Heaven and Hell.

„Forgotten” jest drugim tomem poruszającej i romantycznej serii „Heaven and Hell Club” autorstwa Colette Davison.

“Forgotten” by Colette Davison is the second book in the ‘Heaven and Hell Club’ series and features Kyrone, an exotic dancer and stripper, and Jared, an apprentice tattoo artist. The instant attraction between them is undeniable, but neither has figured out what his dream for the future is, since the past burdens each so heavily. Maybe together they will find a way to reach for freedom.

This contemporary gay romance is connected to the first in the series, “Broken,” but I was able to read it as a stand-alone story without any problem. Given the author’s note at the end of this story, I suspect the first book is much more angst-ridden and painful, and not quite what I’m ready for right now.

I enjoyed watching the connection flourish between the confident (dare I say cocky?) Kyrone, who is comfortable in his skin and the somewhat self-effacing Jared, whose background is gradually revealed. Once I learned about his handicap, I kept wincing at what I imagined might be revealed to be the cause, so I was apprehensive through some of the story and oddly relieved when the origin was revealed. Although subsequent revelations were still a bit dismaying, I still breathed a sigh of relief as the story unfolded.

I love stories that make me invested in the characters even as I learn a bit about other cultures and locales. Getting a chance to armchair travel while rooting for folks to get their happy for now ending is a nice bonus. I particularly like the message of learning to be comfortable in your own skin and living one’s life for oneself, rather than to fulfill someone else’s expectations. Richard Bach’s story used to be a favorite of mine as well, and I’m going to have to look for my copy, lol. Enough backstory is provided that I will eventually read the first book when I’m prepared to have my tissues in hand and learn the other side of the revelations from this book.

I will definitely be looking for other works by this author and I hope to see more of this couple’s journey in the future.

Wow, this is a really emotional read but so worth it!
Kyrone has a softer, caring side that his friends haven't seen before but Jared brings that side out of him. It balances his cocky, overconfidence that is a lot of fun to read. The two men together develop such a wonderful relationship right from the start and you can't help but love them as individuals and as a couple.
Jared's character has had the hardest of eighteen months and he experiences constant slumps, pain and loneliness with the high of when he can carry out normal day to day activities, including his new job as a tattoo apprentice which is how the two meet. His fighting spirit is profound throughout the book as he keeps getting up, determined to be as independent as he can, such admirable traits especially with his injury. Kyrone sees Jared for who he truly is and it's heartwarming to read how supportive he is and definitely during the times when Jared is in need of it the most. My heart just melted at the love that is shown in his actions just as much as their words.
With an injury such as Jared's, there are other characters that get hurt. You can't help but feel sympathy for everyone involved. Colette has done a wonderful job in including people from Jared's past and present and showing how they are also affected. Definitely brought on tears in a couple of places as you read everyone interact and react in different ways. I enjoyed the friendships that are built and grow as we go through the story, with men from the Heaven and Hell club and at the tattooist that Jared works.
Definitely a recommended read and a wonderful follow up to book two. As I said, it can get emotional and possibly triggering for those who have or have dealt with brain injuries/amnesia.
I received an ARC and am happily giving a review.

Colette Davison's Forgotten is a remarkable story that will stay with you long after the last words are read. Damn, seriously, this is one hell of a book! The story of Jared and Kyrone, you will be shocked by this gripping story.

Jared's a man with no memories. Suffering from amnesia, he has no connection to his past. If this man, and his determination to forge his own path in life, doesn't inspire you, I don't know what will. The way he rebuilds his life is impressive and absolutely amazing. And he does so all while suffering physically. It's hard to imagine experiencing everything Jared does, and reacting to it with such strength.

Kyrone's a man stuck living the life he promised to live, instead of the life he wants to live. His resolve to care for Jared, all while stuck on a path he doesn't want, is well explored. He's such a lovable character, fully grabbing onto my heart with is "adonis" tattoo. Ending up being so such more than the reader could have ever anticipated, I fell hard for this man.

The writing is phenomenal, full of two fascinating and complex characters. The author excels in illustrating that not just memories are lost to amnesia, but also feelings, bonds, and connections.

This book promises to take the reader on an emotional journey, full of highs and lows, smiles and tears. Through all the personal issues and family issues, this story has the reader emotionally connected throughout.

Forgotten is a fascinating and thought-provoking story. Colette Davison's Heaven and Hell Club series is an amazing series. But don't for one second think either book is an easy read. Both Forgotten, and book one, Broken, are seriously heart-wrenching and the connections between the books is staggering.

There's  a very important lesson reaching from the pages of 𝗙𝗼𝗿𝗴𝗼𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗻: that you should always be yourself and do what makes you happy, even if that means not conforming to expectations or not fitting in with the crowd.

It was a lesson that Jared tried to  impart to Kyrone, after holding strong onto it as a rule after his accident. I was in awe with Jared's resilience when his medical conditions were doing their worst to weaken him. It was inspiring to see how, time and time again, he managed to dig out the strength to live as normal as possible, on his own conditions. It also made me so happy to see how, when he met Kyrone, he allowed himself to lean on the other man.

Their story is beautiful. Once again Colette Davison has broken my heart to pieces, to then put it back together. I pretty much doubt this author is even capable of writing fluffy stories. But, like always, and now Jared and Kyrone, her characters are real and end up being friends. Friends that, by pouring their troubles into the pages made me feel an active part of their lives, and alongside them cry, laugh and cheer for their accomplishments.

Loved it.

As much as I cried over Broken (book 1 in this series), this book was even more difficult for me. Jared's disconnect between his present and past and deep loneliness were devastating to read about. I think what impacted me the most was how an accident like Jared's could happen to anyone. It's scary to think about losing the memories that define you, and Colette did an amazing job exploring what life looks like after a tragedy like that.

While Kyrone and Jared had several sweet moments together, I couldn't get past the overwhelming feelings of sadness and loss while reading this book. I found it difficult to be invested in the romance with everything else I was learning about Jared. As he says himself,  "But it's awful, Ky, forgetting. It's the most terrible, lonely thing." By the time I learned the truth about Jag and Jared's connection, I was absolutely heartbroken.

Although I wasn't expecting the intense emotions packed into this book, I adored the characters and all the lessons they taught me about strength, acceptance, and self-identity. I definitely would not recommend this book if you're looking for a fun, lighthearted read. That being said, if you want a book that will steal your whole heart, make you cry, and leave you with all the feels for days, this is your book.

This book takes place in the same club as the previous book. It is about a different couple, but there are definite ties between the characters in both books, so you should probably read that one first.

Kyrone is a dancer at Heaven and Hell. He is very conceited, and I had a hard time warming up to him from the get go. He and Jonathan meet when Kyrone goes to get a tattoo where Jonathan is apprenticing.

Jonathan won me over on this story. It is his entire backstory that makes this so interesting. From the amnesia to the complete turn around by Kyrone (which totally changed my feelings for him) and the connection with the Broken story. There was a lot to enjoy here.

Jonathan’s amnesia is a big part of this story, and I loved watching him work for his independence and struggle to make a new life for himself. Kyrone was the perfect fit for him just who he needed to help him through.

Looking forward to the next book which looks like it’s going to be just as interesting.

Love this book and this series! This book can be read as a standalone but really should be enjoyed after reading Broken (book 1 in the series). Have tissues handy, this beautifully written story is very emotional and will tug at your heart strings. Jared and Kyrone are so sweet together. Jared wants to be independent and take care of himself after his accident even if he doesn't remember anything before it. He meets Kyrone and what started out as just a hook up turned into so much more. Kyrone is so loving and caring of Jared. He helps Jared learn he doesn't have to go through things alone, and that's it's okay to have someone to lean on. I love that we find out more of Jared and Jag's past. Sometimes it takes a great tragedy to find out where we belong and to have our happy ending. Even though Jared and Jag's lives turned out very different then what they thought they were going to be, they learn to come to terms with their past so they can be friends in the present.
I highly recommend this book and I can't wait for more.

This is my favorite book by this author so far and I loved it. Forgotten is well written, emotional, sweet, inspiring, sexy, heartbreakingly sad, full of hope, deals very well with some difficult issues, was hard to read at times because of how deeply Jared affected me, the characters are amazing and I love the storyline. Jared is absolutely incredible and I love how he works so hard to overcome every obstacle he is faced with even when it seems impossible. Kyrone is equally wonderful and they are exactly what the other needs. I love how supportive and caring they are with each other and Kyrone instinctively knows what Jared needs from him. Their strong connection, sizzling hot chemistry and sheer joy in each other made this one of the best books I have ever read. The secondary characters added so much to the story, I love the ending and I can't wait to read the next book in this amazing series.

I voluntarily reviewed an advanced copy of this book.

Forgotten is the second book in the Heaven and Hell Series that follows Kyrone, a pole dancer at Heaven and Hell and Jared, a tattoo artist that is just trying to find his way. Colette brings us another great book in this series filled with so much hurt/comfort and angst. Colette weaves a beautiful tale of love, loss, and finding a new path when it all seems so hopeless.

Kyrone encounters the intriguing Jared when he goes to get a new tattoo. Kyrone is immediately smitten and pursues Jared. Jared doesn't really know where he fits in and is just living his life day by day. The two embark on a beautiful relationship filled with overwhelming care, gentleness and passion.

Forgotten will leave you with a happy ache in your heart. You’ll want so badly to see these two make it through everything thrown at them. It was really sweet to revisit the Heaven and Hell crew as well. Forgotten can be read as a standalone or part of the series. I am excited to see which story we get next!

I loved this story it’s the second book in the series and while you don’t have to read the first one I highly recommend as it is a really great read also.

Jared and kyrone have to be two of my favorite characters. From the very beginning there is something there when Kyrone walks into the tattoo studio that Jared is apprenticing in the chemistry is out of this world.
But Jared is standoffish but with good reason he moved all because of a scrap of paper that may or may not help him put his life in order. But with love friendship and support he realizes he can over come just about anything.

The author handles brain damage and the subsequent consequences really well and doesn’t sugar coat it and make it all hearts and roses I really enjoyed this story and would definitely recommend it.

This was almost as difficult to read as Broken, the previous book in this series, really heartbreaking. It was lovely to see the two mc’s from the previous book again, although Michael wasn’t too involved Jag certainly was as he reconnected with his haunting past when he me Jared. Jared and Kyrone were wonderful together, truly in love, Kyrone being so supportive of Jared and his many health issues, that part was sweet to read. The hard part was the description of and the story about said health issues, Jared was a lost and lonely soul struggling to live as normal a life as he possibly could. Kyrone helped him do just that. I had this on my Kindle since it came out (on my birthday) but it took me this long to read it as I knew it would be a tear jerker and painful, just like Broken.

I loved this. After reading both Broken and Forgotten, I’ll read anything Colette writes!
Jared was so lost and alone. He was trying to find his lost love, Jeremy when a violent car wreck stole his memory.
Kyrone found Jared in his favorite tattoo parlor. They’re so good together! Kyrone takes care of Jared, helps him come to grips with his amnesia and headaches. Jared helps Kyrone make decisions about his future to be true to himself, to not follow in his dead father’s footsteps.
It’s a real, feel-good romance. Just as in Broken, these are fully fleshed-out characters that you get to know and enjoy quickly.
Definitely one I’ll recommend, and will read over and over!

Heaven and Hell Club book one, Broken, made me cry for both heroes, who I adored. This book didn't feel as intense, but it definitely made me cry, too. I have a friend with a brain injury, so the struggles that Jared went through felt so real to me. I cared so much about this brave young man. How lucky that he met cocky, flirty Kyrone, the exotic dancer who would bring love and happiness to his life. I loved how Kyrone became someone so supportive and devoted to the man he was falling for. For his part, Jared made Kyrone look at his future in a whole new way. These men were so perfect together, and I loved them both. I was very happy with this story.

A story of loss and redemption.
Jared has suffered a traumatic injury and it's left an irreparable mark on his life.
He's left in the aftermath struggling to come to grips with his new reality.
Kyrone is a dancer who goes in for a tattoo at Jared's tattoo parlor.
Immediately sparks fly between them.
I loved the tenderness and care with which Kyrone treated Jared.
Their connection from the past was extremely difficult to see unfolding.
Am emotionally compelling story about the healing power of love.

Colette Davison's Forgotten is the second book in the Heaven and Hell Club series. This contemporary m/m romance delivers an emotional story filled with hurt/comfort, lots of feelings and realizations. Drama and steam holds the reader captive as the story unfolds.
Jared and Kyrone are wonderful characters that captured my attention and heart. They fit so well together and their story is so beautifully written here.

Beautiful and emotional story of rebuilding and discovering your life.  This was a rather remarkable story of the challenges of creating a life after a catastrophic brain injury.  The reality of the experience was daunting and eye opening.  I really enjoyed the characters and loved the strength that both men showed.  The supporting characters were really great too.

Kyrone and Jared meshed so beautifully and their connection was steamy, nurturing and fun.  I really enjoyed a lot of their dialogue and thought that Ky also showed amazing maturity.  This was an enlightening and enjoyable read.

This is book two of the Heaven and Hell Club series and can be read as a stand-alone.  Book one was really excellent and i would recommend reading for your enjoyment.

I was gifted this book from Gay Book Promotions and i freely give my honest opinion and review.
