She knows me as a firefighter at the Lenox fire department. I look and feel normal to her. Harper hasn’t seen what’s hidden behind this mask. The face that will scare her away. I’m an Alpha werewolf. And she’s a human woman with a shattered heart. I feel the need to protect her at all times. With everything I’ve got. But she pushes me away. Every single time. Harper is cautious. Her instincts won’t let her get close to me. I don’t blame her. But I have to find a way to make her trust me.
I have to tell her the truth. I have to show her my real face. How will she react once she sees it?
Note: Adults Only.
This is the second book of firefighter wolves shifter series with a HEA and no cliff-hangers. Fans of Terry Bolryder, Zoe Chant, Harmony Raines and T.S. Joyce may like this shapeshifter series.
I began writing short stories for family and friends. My vivid imagination and love of mysteries and romance eventually led me to following my own dreams of becoming a published author.

This would be book 2 of this series so far. Though I do wish there was a before book. That talks about how this feud came to be... but hey that could already be in the works *hopeful, begs, pleads*...never know. Loved the chemistry between the two mains and how everything from the previous book works into the second. Though there's a certain wolf in there I honestly want to smack upside the head, but I really do hope he gets his happy ending too. The drama was good with the whole plot. I was disappointed there wasn't that much action, but hopefully there's more to come from these two. Harper really didn't want to come back to the small weirdly odd backwater town called Lenox. Once was enough for her. Even though Josh was dreamy to talk to until the shooting. She is still scared of the what if. Now that she's back for round two to help her friend out in the bookstore. She wants to get it out of way and back home before the hottie that's named Josh finds her again and starts something that she might just regret...
Book two in the firefighter Wolves shifter series brings Josh and Harper's story. The author does a great job developing both the relationship and story line. She brings drama and tons of action as well as a sizzling hot passion and steamy chemistry. She brings her scenes to life with her detailed writing and adds a cast of supporting characters to help bring the story around. It moves quickly and smoothly and I enjoyed reading.
I enjoyed this story more than book 1 and I’m not 100% sure why. I thought Josh and Harper were great together. The pack is in turmoil with the threat of the Canergie’s coming after them. They don’t like humans and it doesn’t help that their Alpha Ben has a human mate in Lana and it gets worse when they find out that they’re having a baby. I don’t know why Tyler was so angry at Josh for telling his sister Eloise that he wasn’t interested in being with her, and he was completely honest or he never gave an inkling that he was interested in her. Like wouldn’t it be better that he tried to let her down gently. I think it was because Harper was human, so in the eyes of a lot of the pack they’re less than and that they’re going to be like the Canergie’s and attack them.
Harper’s feelings for Josh completely scare her so she tries to push him away. It doesn’t help that she lost her partner Jack who was a Police Officer and was sh*t in the line of duty so seeing Josh being sh*t in front of her was a slap to the face and a reminder of what she lost. Will Harper get over her fears of losing Josh to give him a chance, will the Pack ever accept human’s as mates and how will Harper react when she finds out about Josh’s true nature? I was not expecting the way the book ended, I hope it resolves itself during the rest of the series. Man, was Derek a d*ck towards Ben and Lana initially but I’m glad he’s way more pleasant and better pack member. I’m really looking forward to reading his book next. I’d definitely recommend this book, series and author to everyone.
This is book 2 in the series and I loved it but then again I’m a shifter fan and always will be. Josh Stokes has lived in Lenox his whole life with his brother Ben who are werewolves and fireman. Ben is the alpha and the fire chef and is mated you a human Lana and josh his second in command and falling in love with humans is not the done thing and is frowned upon in there pack they have very good reasons for this and now the pack is restless. So when a Josh falls for Lana’s best friend Harper Thorne and believes she is his mate the pack starts causing problems especially Eloise because she has always wanted Josh and when he tells her he is not interested in her at all that way she is very upset and her brother Tyler takes it hard and confronts Josh. It all gets out of hand and Harper and Josh become the target of Tylers rage after his sister is found dead. Now the secret of who he really is that he has kept from Harper is out now and she doesn’t take it well. Can these two get past everything that’s coming out and have a future together, and can Harper let go of her past and have a life with Josh.
I’m giving this one 2.5 stars but rounded up to three. The biggest reason is that this book needs some big time editing. There’s so many areas where the wrong pronoun is used, or a word is entirely dropped from a sentence. A few times a sentence started in the third person and then changed to the first person. Bad form. It’s not hard to fill in and/or correct when you‘re reading but it really was getting distracting.
Secondly,
I liked the first book, but I don’t feel like I could recommend this one. If you want to complete the series, I guess but be prepared to edit it while you’re reading.
Borrowed From KINDLE UNLIMITED Title: Craved by the Alpha Wolf Series:Firefighter Wolves Shifters #2 Release Date: #AlreadyReleased Author: Brittany White Reviewer: Ingrid Stephanie Jordan Serial: Standalone, No Cliffhanger #PRN #WolfShifter #Firefighter 4 Stars⭐⭐⭐⭐ •••••••••••••• 💢 I have to say it was very good book, well written, the characters were excellent. I understand what had happened at the end was for the good of the pack, but for me the end was the easy way out for all. I was not happy with it. Now it’s possible the next book #3 will fix it.
🔹️ Josh Stokes is a Firefighter WolfShifter who lives on the outskirts of the town of Lennox. Because of a feud he was shot and Harper Thorne dragged him to safety. Harper was in shock, she was attracted to Josh but old memories surfaced so she ran back to Boston. What now, is Harper his Mate?
☄️ This review is my own opinion, this author is one that I love to read her books.
Harper returns to Lenox to stay with Lana and get meets Josh again. The last tine Harper had been in Lenox Josh had been shot as they took a walk now she returns after her friend Lana has asked for her help. Lana has asked Harper to help her as she has found she is pregnant. Harper arrives and Lana takes her to the apartment over the bookstore but there is not food in the place so she heads for the nearest grocery store. As she walks back she is hailed by Josh who she had last seen bleeding from a bullet wound which had brought back memories of her last serious relationship which had ended with police officer Jack being shot. Harper has been pushing people away for fear of losing them. I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
The second was just as good as the first. This series and its' characters are quit enjoyable. Harper and Josh have amazing chemistry. That won't be enough to make their journey to HEA any easier. Harper is afraid of being hurt, which causes her to do everything she can to push Josh away. However, he is very persistent. It doesn't help that there is trouble within the pack. Human/wolf relationships are not being accepted. Even though they struggle, the ending they find together will be worth it. Change is coming to Lennox. What the future holds is anyone's guess. This is my honest opinion of an advanced copy I received.
Harper gets her second chance at love. After meeting Josh and starting to feel something for him, he was shot and Harper’s fear made her run back to Boston. Now that her best friend Lana is pregnant she needs some help in her book store so Harper comes back to help her and sees Josh again. Josh knows she is his mate, he just needs to convince her. But Harper is still dealing with a loss in her life from years ago and she is afraid, and the pack is in a mess right now. They are even more against humans being in the pack so they won’t let Harper in. I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Second book in this wonderful series and even more mysteries are revealed to be solved
We met Josh and Harper in the previous book in fact Josh was shot in that book Now with Ben and Lana mated and her expecting then Harper has returned to Lennox to help her in her shop Josh is delighted he feels a pull to Harper and thinks she could be his mate, When a female wolf who wants Josh winds up dead her brother is after revenge Will Harper get drawn into it and what will happen when she learns Ben and Josh's secret Does she have a future in Lennox
I liked it very much!!! I like the story and how it developed and I like even more when continued with the story of the first book & now I know why Ben is not the alpha of the pack anymore. The only this I didn't like is that you don't describe the characters well. All is very fussy. When it comes to the women you don't describe them well. You don't say( she tall slim or pear shape or the tone of her skin or the color of her eyes) you only mentioned their blonde hair and the men gray eyes, black hair and builded. Not much to go to.
I’ll be honest, the rating for this book isn’t really for the story it’s for the writing. I had to reread soooooo many sentences and paragraphs because the editing was HORRIBLE. Incorrect references of him v her so you have to go back and reread to realize who the character is talking about. Or “have not” type references when it should have been a positive. It wasn’t as bad in the first book so it was a shocker that it was so prominent in the second book of the series. Let’s see how book 3 goes.
I was lucky enough to get an ARC copy of this book and I voluntarily chose to review it. Brittany White did a good job with this story. There is a HEA ending but she has left some mysteries in the story. I don't do spoilers so I won't tell you what they are so get the book, see what I mean. I look forward to the next book in this series. I will enjoy seeing how these characters grow. Worth your time. It was a quick easy read for me.
This is a good read. He knows she is his mate but she needs some time. She lost her fiance and his shooting hit a little too close to home.
The odds are not in their favor. There are people against them as well as the past. He really is determined to work thru it all. I admired his strength of character.
Second in the series of firefighter wolves and humans. There is a hundred year feud between the wolves and humans. Because of this feud there is dissention in the pact. Ben ,the Alpha, with a human mate manages to keep the peace temporarily. I loved the way the author keeps the story interesting and moving. I received an advanced copy to be read and reviewed.
This is Book 2 in the Firefighter Wolves Shifters series, and it really has a great storyline with many characters we met in Book 1. The plot twists and turns keep you guessing, and the HEA is truly delightful. You definitely want to add this one to your TBR list today!
This would have gotten more stars if it wasn’t for all the punctuation, missed words, wrong words and grammar issues. This could use a good editing. Otherwise it was a cute story that didn’t end as I thought it would. Some people just won’t put their differences behind them.
The editing errors were so distracting. It was really hard to enjoy this book. Punctuation was hit and miss at best. Mixing of genders, he, instead of she, or her instead of him. Also, just incorrect words made for a frustrating reading experience. Seriously, this is a digital book…can’t someone fix these runaway errors? Ok characters and ok storyline.
This second in the series book is an exciting read. You will be able to catch up with Ben and Lana while you traverse through the drama and adventures of Josh and Harper's story. Loving the series so far.
Since this is part of a series, the author has brought back characters that we wanted to know more about. The pack is still in turmoil and decisions need to be made.
I received a free copy of this booknand am voluntarily leaving a review.
This was a good story, but it needed editing for grammar. The story is strong, but slightly unresolved. Hard to tell if there is going to be a third book. Not a typical shifter story.
The storyline is actually quite good and the characters are well defined. However, figuring out word structure and the repeated misuse of pronouns took away from enjoying the book.
This one had the potential to be good, however, I just couldn't get past the bad editing. Sentences that don't make sense because of missing words, wrong pronouns, and even the wrong tense. It really felt like it was edited by a fifth grader.
This the second book in this series and I have to say I can’t wait to read the next book in this series. I love the characters. There was not a point is this book I could stop reading until I finished it!! Definitely recommend!
It was a great book and I loved the characters. I just feel like I blinked and missed something but other then that it was a great book and the characters were just amazing.
I have totally enjoyed Book 1 and 2 in what I hope will be a long series. The author keeps the reader on edge. I hope there will be more books in this interesting series.
The storyline was all over the place for all of the books in this series. Major grammar mistakes, looked as though there was no editing at all. Just not very impressed with this series.
