One of my favorite quotations in this book: I'm part of the fellowship of the unashamed. I have Holy Spirit power. The die has been cast. I have stepped over the line. The decision has been made. I am a disciple of His. I won't look back, let up, slow down, back away, or be still. My past is redeemed, my present makes sense, my future is secure. I'm finished and done with low living, sight walking, small planning, smooth knees, colorless dreams, tamed visions, mundane talking, cheap giving, and dwarfed goals. I no longer need preeminence, prosperity, position, promotions, plaudits, or popularity. I don't have to be right, first, tops, recognized, praised, regarded, or rewarded. I now live by faith, lean on His presence, walk by patience, lift by prayer, and labor by power. My face is set, my gait is fast, my goal is heaven, my road is narrow, my way is rough, my companions are few, my Guide is reliable, my mission is clear. I cannot be bought, compromised, detoured, lured away, turned back, deluded, or delayed. I will not flinch in the face of sacrifice, hesitate in the presence of adversity, negotiate at the table of the enemy, ponder at the pool of popularity, or meander in the maze of mediocrity. I won't give up, shut up, let up, until I have stayed up, stored up, prayed up, paid up, preached up for the cause of Christ. I am a disciple of Jesus. I must go 'til He comes, give 'til I drop, preach 'til all know, and work 'til He stops me. And when He comes for His own, He will have no problem recognizing me -my banner of identification with Jesus will be clear. Anne Graham Lotz
"Are you longing for More of Jesus? Anne uses reflections from what she has learned to share how saturating your life with MORE of Jesus can lead you into a life of unparalleled privilege. Draw closer to the Lord as you read this book....It definitely has the potential to transform your life. I'd especially recommend this book if you feel as though you are on a plateau in your walk with the Lord. It can be so much more!
I love Billy Graham. His children have been passed some of his annointing & do a great work in the ministry. This book deals with filling the voids of your life with Him...Jesus! It's been a while since I read this, but I remember some parts really spoke to my heart while others sort of lost my interest. I do believe this book can lead you into a closer walk with the Lord Jesus Christ if you are seeking.
I have read this book twice. Once was quite a long time ago. At first, when I started reading this the second time, I couldn't remember why I liked the book so much. But as I slowly got into, I was greatly encouraged and it deepened my faith. I liked the way she had each chapter as a topic of "more of X". At times it was a little wordy for me, but encouraging overall!
Good but not great. Graham Lotz is a good writer but I wish she just focused on what a person needs to do to get closer to God. Instead most of the book is filled with catch phrases that can be found in most other Christian books.
AWESOME! She is a great writer! I love how she goes deeper into the scripture and weaves it out like a story and you can just see it all in your had. As I was reading I had all these "aha!" moments. She is very good at making you think and her writing is very enjoyalbe! I just wanted more and more!
Because Anne longs for more of Jesus, I read this book. She always displays by her words Jesus and His grace; the Hound of Heaven. She shows how Jesus who came 2,000 yrs ago is still the same and with the same propensity, purpose, and provision, He comes into our hearts, but we have to listen!
Anne Graham Lotz is very transparent in this great book that addresses many questions and challenges one faces on the journey of walking with God. This was a great read and inspirational.
It was okay, but it was not really grabbing me and it kind of seemed like Anne was just defending her own ministry more than it was directed at helping others grow.
