Some Good Ones!

This collection consists of three short stories, all of them are about art.

The first story is Pictures On The Wall: Neil O’Leary purchases a set of three paintings. He believes that they are really one
painting, which has been divided into three.

Once purchased at a remarkable price, he takes off the back covers and finds an old letter. The letter explains that the paintings are cursed and must stay separated. He immediately hangs them together.

The second story is: Photography.

Lindsy Walsh believes she can communicate with the dead. So she purchases things that belongs to dead people, takes pictures of them, then waits for the dead to communicate with her.

The last book: The Artist’s Purpose...l kinda slept through while I was reading it. I know l was dreaming about the book while I was sleeping, but it was also so hard to stay awake while I was reading it.

I promptly woke up, as soon as I finished reading it and I can tell you that it was about an artist named Casey Kaiser. She has a cabin located in the middle of nowhere. Although the cabin was supposed to inspire her art, instead it made her feel stifling.

She would have these strange dreams about moving throughout this weird landscape.

And then when she would wake up she would get motivated to do some painting.

"Pictures On The Wall" by Ron Ripley:
This short story delightfully reminded me both of H. P. Lovecraft's "Picture In The House," and of characters in Grade B horror films. You know whom: they consult Ouija boards, hold seances, enter abandoned buildings at night, all because their egotism is even greater than their skepticism.

Such is the protagonist here: a wealthy, successful, author, Neil buys a triptych of an early Colonial manor. Once a single painting, it was divested into three sections. So naturally Mr. Ego, disregarding the testament he discovers hidden in the frame, hangs the sections as one unit again. Oh well. Pride and hubris always precede a fall. What a horrific Avenue to discovery!

"Photography " by Ron Ripley:

Lindy is a dedicated Spirit Photographer. Convinced that often Spirits are trapped in objects, she searches yard sales, estate sales, and flea markets for whatever objects psychically move her, then photographs them in her home. Finally, she endeavours to release the Spirits so they may find Peace.

Unfortunately sometimes good intentions have the road to hell.

"An Artist's Purpose " by Rowan Rook:

This story also reminds me of Lovecraft: of Dreaming Cthulhu calling to the minds of men (primarily artists, writers, poets, and other creatives) with Strange and Arcane dreams. A Seattle artist planning for an upcoming showcase purchases a too-cheap, damaged, cabin on Mt. Baker, seeking inspiration in the absolute quiet of isolation. Inspiration results--but the cost is horrifying nightmares, not just for the Artist.

Entertaining horror listening 🎶🔰

Another will written three short stories by three different authors (Supernatural Suspense Collection book 10). About pictures, photography📷, and painting, each story is different with interesting characters who are doing something with art that goes wrong. I would recommend this series to readers of fantasy haunting thrillers. Enjoy the adventure of reading or listening. 2022 😮😈😯

A nice, quick read

These three stories were great! I have such a hard time picking out books to read because I’m so picky, and knowing these were just some random, short horror stories made this book an easy choice. I finished it in 40 minutes or so. Will recommend for an easy read!

Awesome

Ghosts and ghost type, great stories. The photographer will never go buy ghost infused items ever again. And what a way to get inspiration, makes you look differently at paintings.

As a novice photographer, I especially enjoyed this volume of Short Horror Stories. I must admit that I likely will never pick up a camera the same way again. Will there be any unexpected consequences for simply pressing a shutter button? This is one of the things I most enjoy about these short reads - they take ordinary everyday situations and create something deliciously frightening. Even if you don't believe in ghosts or spirits (and I really feel you will sooner or later), you will enjoy these stories. Just don't let the dark corners in your living room get to you. There really isn't anything there - really.

These stories never disappoint! The three that are in this volume are going to leave you gasping! I loved each and every one - although Ron Ripley usually gets me the most. His stories are just the right level of horror, yet just "there" enough to make it almost believable.

LOVED IT!
