Ian Shepherd is ancient for a Navy SEAL, and he does not want to admit he is getting older. When he finds himself shot and unable to help himself, he must rely on the good graces and kindness of his new landlady. But Faith Gallagher is no average landlady. She's a smoking hot fifty-one year old with the body of a goddess and the touch of an angel. When danger comes calling can Ian focus on saving Faith or will Faith save Ian?
Thank you for reading my bio and my books! I live and work in Dallas, TX. I'm the mother of two amazing daughters and two fantastic, intelligent grandsons, with one more on the way, and a wonderful son-in-law. I love to cook, travel, and write, but I'm also an avid reader. Being from a military family, my books often center around strong, military men but I also LOVE strong, independent, intelligent women. Visit my webpage at insatiableink.squarespace.com and leave your comments or ideas for future books. Enjoy!
I thoroughly enjoyed this story and Faith is so strong, intelligent and just an awesome lady. I know the story started out as her wanting to help Ian have a place to heal from his injury and it actually worked out for them and his team that she was not only one of their teachers, but that the house she bought and renovated was big enough for the team members to live there was well, but also crazy that she never realized that tenants before her had actually hidden drugs and money from a dangerous Mexican cartel, but luckily for her and her Seal team family the evil cartel got what he deserved. Happy reading.
I really liked how Ian came off as old and grumpy at the start. It was fun to watch him get put on his ass just by meeting Faith. Faith was fun, such a breath of fresh air and these SEAL's really didn't know what to make of her, but they knew they wanted to be around her. It was fun to see Faith make a point of getting to know the boys and how they all knew it was coming, were determined to not tell her things, but in the end they all spilled.
The happenings at the house were crazy! It was such a good thing Faith had Ian and the boys at her back. They were able to help her in so many ways, but especially when the danger in imminent.
Loved to see how this one ended, with the house becoming SEAL central and Faith taking care of her boys, people that genuinely appreciated her, not like some.
This was an underdeveloped, predictable and somewhat cliché military romance. I did like the alpha male characters, overall, but the older female lead character was way too sappy, and anything but mature. There were many contradictions within the characters, and the underlying mystery was less than intriguing. Additionally, the sensual scenes were lacking…just not enough detail/description to connect you to the romance..very PG-13. This romance just needs to be more developed, and made more enticing. First book in seal boys. Ian is a sexy hot Navy seal staying with 50 year old while he gets rehab for in injured shoulder. They fall in love amid dealing with vandalism to her home. This book also introduced the rest of his seal team that will have their books in the future.
This is not just action packed it's romantic. Faith rents a room to Ivan who is a injured Navy SEAL. Soon they discover her newly bought historic is being destroyed, then her life is threatened. It's Ian to the rescue along with the rest of his team. This is a great read. There is foul language but otherwise it's clean.
Mary Kennedy, I love your books. Your books are engaging, beautifully written and I fall in love with every character except the bad guys. Reaper Security is another score, I am on book eleven right now. I caught a burb offbeat for this book and I had to read it. Time well spent. Five stars!
I chose this rating because this was actually a really good book. I enjoyed most of the characters. This was a book of believing in yourself, determination, and being there for one another. Great read! I recommend this booked all romance readers.
Yay!! I am thrilled to start another series by this author. I absolutely loved Ian and Faith together and seriously loved the parental role they take with the Seal Team. The brotherhood is strong but a mommas love is stronger.
This is a well written, interesting story with some twists and turns. I enjoy the way Mary Kennedy integrated all the characters here at the beginning so the series can be a cohesive whole.
I was going to be sad until I found this other series that Ms Kennedy has put her mark on😍 I'm loving the Seal series can't wait to plow through these books LOL
Loved loved loved this book, what a fantastic start to a series I'm sure I will be sucked into. Gotta love a NAVY SEAL 😍 well a whole lot of them and an intelligent, strong caring woman
Great story, read in one sitting as I couldn’t put it down. I really like the danger she brings to the story, making it interesting and off course the humour
