That is sad i thought we were going to strike iron while its hot and go after the vampire but looks like this is not happening. So i am comfortable to take my usual 1 issue old batman break now. Its nice to see toni's death brought the family closer together.
... Congratulations Layman and Guillory. I am sufficently obsessed with your work that I have graduated from 'waiting for graphic novels' to 'bugging the guy at the comic book store for the actual issues.' (So I'm sitting on issues #31 - #33.) Also, congratulations to Goodreads, for me suddenly noticing you actually have individual comic issue listings on here that I can count as I read them.) (Also congratulations to my poor, overworked spell-check, because I can't spell 'congratulations' correctly myself.)
So, what happened in issue #30, I will not spoiler, other than to say it was distressing enough to make me need to start getting the comics. And there is enough hate/love in the mailbag section at the end of the issue to mirror my own feelings. Also, many pictures of cats reading "Chew." It is apparently the thing to do as a superfan of this author: send him snapshots of your kitty reading the comic.
This book begins a new story arch: Bad Apples. It offers some background on Tony & family, and then resumes the police work of the FDA. All I will say is that it involves exploding people, chicken (duh!) and a cult's holy mission.
