A bit too short and fragmentary to be of much use. With little in the way of context or background. The word ‘opportunistic’ comes to mind. However on the other hand Sumerian and later Mesopotamian mythology is certainly fascinating and deep. Gilgamesh, Ishtar ... I was deeply intrigued by the differences between the early Sumerian tales of Gilgamesh and the later Babylonian tales. And the changing roles of both Enkidhu and Ishtar. Worth a quick read. And then find something more substantial.
Fantastic academically written work covering Mesopotamian & Sumerian mythology. Good comparisons with actual history & also modern religion. Interesting read.
