To be honest, I am used to reading cozy mysteries on Bookbub and I was surprised that this book wasn't a cozy mystery! 😂🤣
That's okay because I really enjoyed this uplifting story about love, family and friends! It's a light read and very good! I highly recommend this one!!

[1.25 star] book was bland. in the beginning when the heroine's ex-bf keep condemning her about her weight and what she ate, and she still stays with him because they were together for seven years felt moronic to me. and even when her best friend and sisters told her to leave him, she was still reluctant. i was like OMG!!! i mean she is not some stay home girlfriend that is dependant on her bf. she has a good job and make good money but she couldn't think for a fact she is being mentally abuse by her bf is just shit.
also, the connection between the heroine & hero was weak. SUPER DUPER WEAK. and the hero propose to her when they seems to be dating not long ago too. the execution sucks to be honest. too crappy for me to continue the series.

A great clean read!
Meet the five Romriell sisters. Alyssa, the oldest, is in a terrible seven year relationship with Tim. When their parents are killed in an accident the sisters decide to sell everything and move back to Bear Lake and convert their childhood summer home into a B&B. Alyssa gains the courage break up with Tim, makes the move, but the sisters need a carpenter to update and convert the Bear Lake home. Nick, reeling from a painful relationship, is the right man to fill that carpenter need..... a little to much sister talk, but still a five star rating to me.

Alyssa is the oldest and broke off her long abusive relationship with Tim. The sisters employ Nick to help renovate the B&B. Alyssa and Nick have an immediate attraction but will their romance blossom with Nick’s past. I really enjoyed this romantic read.

kirsten's books never disappoint!!!
She makes you feel like you are living the story. She truly is the best author I've ever read. I have read great stories but her books are consistently fantastic. I have never been disappointed in any of her work. Thank you so much!!

The book started out pretty good and then got way too predictable and syrupy sweet. This was very disappointing and I will not be reading any of the sequels.

4.5 stars - Handles all the hard issues head on!
In the beginning of this book I found Alyssa frustrating, we as readers can quite clearly see the mental and verbal abuse, but she sees it as her failures and inadequacies. And isn't that just the crux of the problem, most of us readers have thankfully never been on the receiving end of this type of abuse. It begins small, gradually undermining the confidence of even the strongest and most intelligent people, because it happens so slowly you are totally unaware until it is a big flashing light visable to everyone else, but you still don't see it as you have been trained that your opinions and judgements are flawed. Not an easy place to escape from and maybe we all need to be a little more sympathetic and open minded before making judgement of people. We are all very sure 'it would never happen to me' lets hope none of us ever have our strength tested in this way!
Once I got past wanting to punch Tim and kidnap Alyssa away for her own good, I enjoyed this book. A powerful and moving start to the series, the sisters face a heartbreaking decision, but find strength together and most of all find hope.
This book is a free download and one of Kirsten Osbournes best.

Wonderful read. Two major relationship issues are handled nicely in this, the first book in a new series.
Infidelity is prevalent in Nicks relationship and he cannot abide it. He ends it immediately when he discovers his fiance in his bed with another man.

She gives up on a 7 year relationship that was overly controlling with the help of her sisters. Attraction is almost immediate between Nick and Alyssa, but her past life may become an innocent culprit in the plans Nick has for the two of them!
This Author is a master at creating wonderful reads and keeping you interested from paragraph one! Don't miss this fantastic series.

Changing Dreams is simply charming. When Alyssa and her four sisters parents are tragically killed, they proceed to save the summer house they love so much by turning it into a B and B. This frees Alyssa from a domineering relationship with Tim who readers will immediately hate. Once to the summer house, they rely on Hannah, their bonus sister,for a recommendation of a contractor. Nick comes highly motivated and Alyssa and he sizzle immediately. But a brief reappearance of the hated Tim could derail everything. Kirsten Osbourne fans will love this new series and this reader can't wait to read the next title.

Chasing Dreams is the first book in a wonderfully heartfelt new series! After suffering a huge loss, Alyssa and her sisters uproot from their lives to start over. Moving back to the place that holds their fondest memories, is just what they need. Kirsten Osbourne writes a beautiful, romantic drama that had me reaching for the tissues and my phone. I'm looking forward to Taylors story next, and immediately bought this in ebook and paperback. You'll fall in love with the Bear Lake Dreamers series too!

I've been a Kirsten Osbourne fan for years!! I was so excited to see that she had a new series coming out...and she did not disappoint! I loved watching Alyssa & her sisters take their grief and create a beautiful life/memorial for their parents. I also loved watching Alyssa rediscover herself and find a love that supported her & her growth! I cannot wait to see what the rest of the Romriell sisters do!

Hate how abusers wreak havoc with their victim's self esteem and self image. This book starts out that way, but a tragedy turns it all around for good. Really enjoyed how good comes out of it all. Great ties between the sisters and friends. Apart from the beginning, I enjoyed this book.

Great story!
Alyssa and her sisters hire Nick to remodel their B&B. But Nick is drawn to Alyssa and she is smitten with him. Loved the writing and interaction of the characters.
