Reckless Times

Weak.
Useless.
Freak.

Those are the words used to describe me. I’m an Idol who can’t see, and in this savage world where power is everything, being born with a disability makes me an aberration. Idols are the direct descendants of the gods. We’re supposed to be perfect.

My parents kept me protected behind walls most of my life. They fear I won’t survive in the real world. They have no idea what kind of power runs through my veins.

Stephan Silverstone—the most perfect Idol I’ve ever met—does. He’s cocky, annoying, and pushes my buttons like no other. But he sees me, the real person behind all the preconceived notions. Without effort, he’s breaking all my barriers; he’s claiming my heart.

When I’m with him, sparks fly. I want to be reckless and forget everything. If only things were that simple. We’re both keeping dangerous secrets that could tear us apart. War is coming, and I’m not sure if what we have will survive.

*This is a spin-off of Gifted Academy Series. This is not an RH romance.

Andy’s story

Ok girl scream because I love that we get the back story and side version of what happened between Andy and Stephen. Of course Stephanie feels betrayed but really tough decision that Andy has to make even after making a connection……

Facing him, I ask, “Did you really miss me?”
“More than I thought possible.” He hooks his fingers on my robe’s sash and tugs me toward him. “I miss your smell.” He brings his nose to the crook of my neck, giving me goose bumps. “Your hair.” He runs his fingers through it. “Your sharp tongue and filthy mouth.”

Breakneck pacing, a strong fierce heroine, and a twist at every corner.

A treat to read.

Yesss!!!

I felt almost giddy reading this book! If you follow another series in this world you are semi familiar with this world and the characters. This gives us a different spin but offers some enlightening information as well. You don’t have to read the other series to get sucked into this one, but it definitely makes it more fun!

All in all if you are looking for a slow burn new adult paranormal series, check out Reckless Times right away. I loved it and can’t wait for the next book in the series!!

Not what I was expecting

Honestly, I’m not quite sure what I was expecting here, but this surpassed whatever those expectations were. Fast paced, a bit diabolical and emotionally twisted, it runs the gamut while playing god with the characters lives.... in the most interesting game ever. And it is a game, a macabre one with deadly stakes and players that move across the board far too cleverly. Except when they don’t. Sometimes the truth is right in front of your face, and you can’t see it, no matter how good of a strategist you normally are. Intense.

First person, multiple POV, PNR, Cliffhanger
Rating = r to mature
M/F
Character age range = 18+

Pros:
- Very intense plot.
- curious world building. I don’t quite get it, but I like it.
- Characters are captivating, if not wholly likable.
- That Cliffhanger...

Cons:
- Andy needs to grow the F up. Seriously.

I usually take my time reading books but this one I finished in 2 days. Already liked Andromeda from hateful Heroes and I love we got to know her own story. She is is such a badass character with strong personality and flaws which is refreshing to see as no one is perfect! The plot is so involving, with so many actions and happenings that the book ends very quickly with a taste of wanting more. Can’t wait for book 2 to see Nathaniel burning in hell and more of Stephan and Andromeda complicated romance.

I think this is a very solid spin off to the main series of the Gifted Academy. I will say that while this is a spin off it takes place in the middle of the other series with all the elements of that story influencing this one so I would highly recommend reading that first. There are scenes from those books in this book but are from Stephen and Andy's point of view.

It was those scenes that introduced Andy that made me so excited for this spin off series bc I just found her to be such a cool character especially her powers. I really enjoyed her character with all her spunk and give no shits and take no shit attitude. Diving into her character we learn that her parents have isolated (protected) her bc of her blindness but as much as she hated it there also seems to be a reason why she downplayed her abilities and skills. And trust me when her skills and abilities are unmatched to where even she doesn't know what she is fully capable of, but I loved reading and diving deeper into them.

Now with Stephen, I liked him, but I found it funny just like his brother how he is very much a rule follower or a bit of a stick in the mud, but he is essentially in love with Andy who don't give a fuck about the rules. Now I will say the mentor role is a bit of a stretch bc the man barely did anything at this school at least in relation to Andy there were several attempts, but they quickly fell by the waist side as more important things were going on. Those things brough a lot of tension in the book because he is a man torn between his duty to the knights and trying to figure out Andy and possibly recruiting her or her family so in essence using her for her abilities and family money and his feelings for her. There is also the fact that yes, he is having growing feelings for her, but they are butting heads constantly trying to deny their feelings bc they seem to be so different. I know they are supposed to be a balance to each other and maybe we will get that in the next book but here it seemed more like oil and sparks being set on fire. There are definitely an attraction and chemistry there and I enjoyed reading it unfold.

Now the story is a bit predictable but that is bc again a lot of points were used in the other series for its storyline and now we are either witnessing things from their point of view or witnessing the scenes we had heard about in the other book. Even with that in mind I will say I still recommend reading that series first and I enjoyed see scenes from all angles and I really can't wait to see how that cliff hanger plays out. All in all, it was a solid read, and I am excited for the next book to close it out.

----

This story is about Andromeda who has been made to feel weak, useless and a freak because she is blind and an Idol with a disability is unheard of because Idols are descendants of literal gods and they are supposed to be perfect. It is because of this anomaly that her family have kept her hidden away from their savage world of Idols, Fringes and Norms where only the strongest survive. But they have no idea the power she keeps hidden from them that is running through her veins. But then she meets Stephan Silverstone at one of her families' parties and while he may seem perfect to everyone else to her, he is just an annoying, cocky jerk who pushes all her buttons. But even with his annoying attitude he is one of the few people that see her and not her blindness that makes her want to let down her walls and maybe trust him with her heart. But even as sparks fly between them, they are both hiding secrets that would not only tear them apart but also their world as there is a war coming and they both have their roles to play and who knows if they will survive it.

I found this world fascinating and would love to read more of it; however I felt like I was missing a prequel or something and small pieces didn't make sense all the way. It wasn't what I was expecting at all, but in a good way. The heroine really got on my nerves though and she seriously needs to grow up. Hopefully that comes in future books.

Andy (Andromeda) is dripping with potential as a character. She's blind but thanks to her Idol abilities that is no hinderance to her. Instead, it's like an advantage because people misjudge her and she's actually stronger than most of them. She has this false arrogance about her - it's like a defense mechanism from being seen as worthless all the time - and had she not let that overtake her, I would have adored this quality. Instead, she just ends up seeming really immature and it gets frustrating. To be fair, she's 18 and acting very much like you'd expect a pampered 18 year old to act, especially when they have kick ass abilities.

Stephan is another character that I ALMOST loved. I just needed more of him. Like I don't fully understand him as a character, but what I do get, I like a lot. He's torn in his loyalties to his family/cause and Andy. I think where I struggled was what does he DO exactly? For example, he's supposed to be Andy's mentor at Paragon Academy, but at one point he is doing homework. Is he an adult or a student? And his abilities are equally fuzzy... he can fly? bend air?

Those missing/confusing pieces of Stephan are part of what I'm talking about with feeling like I was missing a prequel or something. I don't understand Paragon Academy precisely - Andy is grown but she's just starting there? It felt like something between a high school/college/trade school? And I while I understand that there are Norms, Fringes and Idols and clearly some tension there, I don't fully understand why and how someone ends up an Idol, for example. Why did Andromedia develop these powers? But, despite my questions, the book flowed really well, and the action was great. I enjoyed the story a lot and maybe I'll get answers as I read on. I do plan to continue, especially with that cliff hanger!

I listened to Reckless Times, narrated by Troy Duran (Stephan's POV) and Marnye Young (Andy's POV). I KNOW I've listened to Troy Duran before, I'm just not sure where. But he has a memorable, strong, deep voice that worked really well for Stephan. I don't think I've listened to Marnye Young before, but I enjoyed her narration for Andy a lot. They complimented each other well and brought out their characters perfectly. I look forward to listening to more!

She's tired of her over protective parents, tired of being a virtual prisoner in her own home.

He saw this in her as they met and knew he could help her whilst aiding his own cause too.

She thought he was different than the others who approach her with a hidden agenda in mind.

Can she see past his original motives, and can he prove he is more than who he works for?

I knew as soon as I saw this book that I needed it! I've loved the connecting series with a passion and when Andy showed up I prayed she would get her own book.

She's an amazing character not only because she sees the world differently to everyone else, but because she's truly unique in the world of Idols, fringes and norms.

I loved how she was so naive and clueless about the real world having been locked in a gilded cage all her life.

The fight in her along with her sarcastic and sassy comebacks had me enthralled.

Her story is unusual yet so special at the same time. I connected deeply with the message it portrays at its core, and I could easily see myself reading this many times over.

Michelle has done a fantastic job with Andys story and I can't wait to find out what happens next after that truly explosive cliffhanger ending!

Andromeda got her own story and I'm so excited, it also included a POV from Stephen which really rounded off the whole story. I've loved Andy since her introduction in book 3 of The Gifted Academy series, you could see all the tension and animosity between Andy and Stephen and I wanted to know how they got to that point and Reckless Times does just that. Also that ending, bring on book two!

Andromeda is strong and totally kick-ass with her sassy remarks and comebacks, she's perfect. She may be blind but she doesn't let it stop her and even if she struggles to control her temper at times, she really does know when to pick her fights. The chemistry between her and Stephen is off the charts even if they both do try and fight it along the way, the outcome is inevitable.

Not sure if there will ever be a story for Soren but that's one I would definitely read, for now I'm going to wait (im)patiently for book two of the Paragon Society.

I absolutely love this series!! If you have not already read this series, this is a must read. From the very beginning to the end, I could not put down my kindle. You just get sucked into Andromeda's world, she is just so witty, funny and she can take care of herself. Also this is a type of spin on the Gifted Academy takes place in. If you have not read that series yet, it is not needed but I do recommend because of the character association with this one.

In Reckless Times Andromeda is trying to figure out her place. She is not perfect, but really perfect is boring. One of the things I enjoy about Andromeda is her sass. Stephen was not one of my favorite male leads, but he grows on you.

The action is spot on, the plot engaging, there were some intense moments, lots of snark and then bam, you will need more. This is a great start to another good series by Michelle.

I loved each second of this story! From start to finish you can’t help but get sucked into their world! Andromeda with her quick whips and tough attitude! You love her instantly and as she guides through life trying to figure out her place in the world you feel apart of her story and want to know more about her! Her world becomes far more interesting the night she meets Stephan and she wasn’t nearly prepared for it! If her life wasn’t complicated enough it’s about to get more interesting and they both need to be prepared for the battle that’s brewing behind the scenes!

Stephan is broody and disinterested in the world around him! His main goal in life is to protect the family he has left and find a way to help rid the world of the evil that ensues! He wasn’t ready to meet a young beauty who would capture his attention instantly and he definitely wasn’t ready to acknowledge the fact that he just might be wrong about EVERYTHING; and now the battle for his heart is going to biggest war he’s ever fought because when Stephan loves he loves with his whole being.

“Falling in love wasn’t something I wanted or needed, but the moment I met her, it became inevitable.”-Stephan

If only love were enough; but if it were then Stephan and Andromeda would be living different lives, and their reality wouldn’t be filled with secret and lies! That’s exactly what is discovered as we dive back into the world of mortals and Idols! The secrets are darker and the webs are twisted but they don’t compare to the heat that emanates off the pages each time Stephan and Andromeda are together. Don’t miss out on this beautiful spin off in the Gifted Academy world!

From the moment we were introduced to Andy, I knew I needed more and I couldn't be happier that she got to tell her own story. Everyone automatically underestimates her abilities because she's blind. But Andy has been duping all of them. Stephan however sees more to her than the overprotected child of a wealthy, influential business man. The development in this book is amazing. I love the banter between the main characters. I also love how we get to see a part from Hateful Heroes from the POV of these characters. I can't wait for the next book!

I am so glad we get Andromeda’s story!!! I fell in love with her character in Hateful heroes book 3 in the Gifted Academy Series.
This is her back story before we get to meet her in Hateful Heroes.
The chemistry between her and Stephan in this book is 🔥 off the charts!
With Andy not being able to be with him due to a secret she cannot tell.
The drama with the Knights and the Neo Gods!!!
And that ending!!! Ah I cannot wait to read more!!!!!!

Andy is fierce in Hateful Heroes. You see her as this unstoppable force of nature through Daisy’s eyes.

In Reckless Times, you see the world through Andy’s eyes (pun intended). You also learn more about Stephan and the other side of the Idol world.

Andy isn’t quite as fierce as you think she is. She was a completely sheltered idol that has a lot of power, and can’t really control it. You really get an insight on how vulnerable she is. It makes her more like able (and I liked her a lot before).

I love how Michelle has taken a fantastic story and expanded the world with new characters, all while weaving a new perspective on the same ever growing story. You always get a little more information than you had in the previous book. Not enough to spoil anything, but just enough to keep you on the edge of your seat.

I’m excited to see what happens in the next book(s).

I’ve been a huge fan of Michelle Hercules since she write Gifted Academy; once I read the third book in that series we were introduced to Stephan and Andromeda. It’s the same world as Gifted Academy just new characters, new plot and drama...You could tell there was a unknown backstory with those two—-boy- reading their book we find out, exactly how they met and are.
Mutual attraction, mystery and sexual tension is high.
They both have so much going on in their lives, devastating secrets they keep from one another.
Michelle Hercules has delivered again!
Not sure how the Gifted Academy book will impact the next book but definitely will read the next in this series without a doubt.
The story has a small cliffhanger but nothing major- you definitely will be wanting more- good thing with this Author is that she doesn’t t have us waiting forever for the next installment
I loved the cameo of Daisy and her men! So looking forward to reading book 2.

A definite reread!!

All I can say is wow. Michelle Hercules did it again. This was such an amazing book. Andromeda is my hero. She’s a flawed character that isn’t the perfect main character you are used to reading. She’s sassy, raw, and a badass. Stephen I liked his character but was a little whinny not to where it was over the top more like dude just man up and take her. Soren is a brat but a brat you love. I want Nathaniel to be kicked in the nuts repeatedly. The action in this book is intense and before you know it, it’s over. You are left with an omg moment at the end. I so can’t wait for book 2. Thank you so much for the ARC copy.

This was an amazing beginning to the side series in Michelle's amazing world that the gifted academy takes place in! It was awesome to get to know Andromeda better and get more of the Silverstones better instead of just the little bit you get in the main books. I absolutely loved getting to enjoy more of these characters and learn more about them. Getting to see events from the main series from their povs was another cool thing to get to read through and get more angles from the main story! Can't wait for the next book to come out!

Superpowers nd Demi Gods/Enemies to Lovers/Multi PoV

SYNOPSIS (of Duet): This story is a duet covered in Books 5 & 6 of the Idols series. Whilst it relates to a different couple (Andromeda & Stephan) it is set in the same world as the Books 1-4 and covers the same period of time as those. Andy is a powerful Idol who was born blind but with the use of her “chains” (which are an extension of her and can be visible or invisible) she is able to sense her surroundings and does not allow her blindness to limit her. When she was young she made the mistake of binding herself to a Demi God who was part of the Neo Gods organisation and who forces her to do his bidding. Andy has been homeschooled and kept secluded. She meets Stephan, a member of the Knights rebel group, and with his help is allowed to start school. The story arc covers Andy’s growth now she is away from her parents, the continued fight against the Neo Gods, her falling for Stephan and her understanding her heritage. There’s a HEA

Heat Level: 🌶️🌶️/🍆🍆. There are a few hot scenes which are well written and have a good amount of spice but these are minimal and this duet is a relatively slow burn from that perspective.

There is a lot of repetition in this duet if you have read the first 4 Books. Yes it is told from Andy & Stephan’s perspective but in terms of the general events, there is a lot of duplication. As a result I skipped over parts of the story. Essentially the duet fills in the gaps as to what was happening to Andy & Stephan as they cropped up in Books 1-4. I felt that it was a bit lazy of the author.

The general story is OK and there is action to keep it moving along with some limited angst and drama with some violent scenes (although not particularly graphic). I felt this duet could have been so much better but, as mentioned, instead of the author making this truly a story about Andy & Stephan there was just too much of the original story included. It made it boring as I knew what was going to happen. 🥱 It’s a shame as Andy was truly kick ass and so cool.

There is limited background development and the MC/FC’s relationship develops quickly but then becomes very on/off. The character development was also limited and whilst the author introduced elements in an attempt to give depth (such as the death of Stephan’s mother & sister and his guilt) these were never really fleshed out. In fact, just as with Books 1-4, I felt frustrated that the author didn’t provide the growth and substance to make this Duet something other than a superficial romp.

The introduction of Nicholas in Book 4 creates a nasty individual but the author apparently decided to do a 180 in this duet with his character. It felt wrong and again, there was no explanation as to what it agenda was, why he was doing what he was doing or what Chaos’ issues were. So many gaps with just lazy writing and the author not even attempting to pull all the strings together or provide a coherent story. 😏

Again, as with Books 1-4 the author goes off in the final part of the Duet into the realms of gods and demi gods with no real explanation as to why. At least with the Daisy storyline there was a vague reason for Chaos’ involvement but with this duet there was no explanation as to why Andy was dragged in or what the issue was and the ending, for me, was just more of the ridiculous same from Book 4. As for the epilogue, it was clearly setting up a further story line (which I won’t be reading) but with no clarity as to what happened. I mean, the author just implies that after what happens on the island everything is good and everyone goes back to their day job – what’s that about? 😖

In summary, whilst Books 1-4 are enjoyable if you can overlook the gaps and the climax, this Duet is a waste of time. Such a shame because the FC & MC could have been great. 😤

As this book opens we see Andromeda participating in an illegal fight. She wins and the arena boss asks the crowd if anyone wants to challenge her. It's Stephan who accepts it.

Instead of continuing from there, we go back two months prior. We meet Andromeda's parents, who really have no clue as to Andromeda's talents. They homeschool her and pretty much keep her isolated with the goal of marrying her off as a business deal, or as they call it a merger.

At the Belfor's annual gala, Stephan attends in his father's place. This is the first time they meet and it's also when she's being told of her father's plan for her to wed Patrick O'Neill.

Let's just say Patrick is a jerk and Andromeda overhears him talking about her with his friends. She gets some pretty awesome revenge that Stephan witnesses. Stephan also recognizes that Andromeda would be a great addition to the Knights, but he needs to know her better. Finding that she'd like to attend Paragon Academy rather than be homeschooled he sets his plans in motion.

Things are going to get complicated relatively quickly from the moment Andromeda begins Paragon. Stephan is falling for her and she starts showing up in places she shouldn't. She also discovers Stephan and his family are Knights which is dangerous in so many ways. The fight club in the beginning of the book is just a drop of the trouble Andromeda finds herself in.

As this book begins to overlap with Hateful Heroes things get even more intense.

Plenty of action, intrigue and sizzle as Stephan and Andromeda become involved.

I really hated where this book ended and I really can't wait for the next one!

Quote I love- “Besides, I’m a big girl. I don’t need a man to feel complete.”
Steam- 2
Would I Re-Read- Yes, before I read the next book in this series
———————————————————————————————————————
Both Andromeda and Stephan were introduced in the Gifted Academy Series which I abosutely love. If you have not read that series I highly recommend.
———————————————————————————————————————
I fell in love with Andromeda’s sassy personality in that series and just fell in love with her all over again. She was just a sassy in this series and a total badass but something we did not get to see in the other series was her emotional side. She had this I don’t care about anything attitude but that is not really the case. She is a very caring person. I think Andromeda is a strong, well rounded character.
Stephan was a cutie. I did not really get a good feel for him in the Gifted Academy series but in this series I fell in love with him. He was sweet and kind but also had an alpha side to him which I got to say, I really enjoyed. Him and Andromeda had a cute banter with each other, it made the book really enjoyable. The two had off the chart chemistry from the moment they met.
———————————————————————————————————————
The storyline of Reckless Time ends up connecting with the storyline from Gifted Academy towards the end. I liked watching some of the same scenes unfold but from the point of view of Andromeda and Stephan. I cannot wait to read the next book in this series, as this book ends in a cliffhanger. Another amazing book by Michelle Hercules.

Weak. Useless. Freak. Those are the words used to describe Andromeda, an Idol who can't see, and in this savage world where power is everything, being born with a disability makes her an aberration. Her parents kept her protected behind walls most of her life, fearing she won't survive in the real world. What they don’t know is the explosive power she has flowing through her. Stephan Silverstone-the most perfect Idol she’s ever met-does. He's cocky, annoying, and pushes her buttons like no other. But both are keeping dangerous secrets that could tear them apart.

YAS QUEEN. Andromeda is one of favorite characters from book three and all the sexual tension between her and Stephan made me want to just dive into this book. I really loved this book. It not only gave us more time with our fav extras, but added a whole new plot line to the already growing plot in Gifted Academy. And our heroine will be leading the charge. I expect to see so much more from her in her growth as an Idol and with Stephan. Who is just the sweetest and most precious little Idol ever, the exact opposite of Andromeda which makes it that much sweeter. Get this author on your read list!

Okay, so this is less of a book 5 and more of a book 3.5 from a different perspective.

Not saying I'm complaining about that, but in fact a little glad that we got to know more of Andi's backstory.

The romance between her and Stephan felt a little forced at parts but I can't deny that there was at least a decent amount of chemistry between them. I think the forced feeling came more from the author trying to shove tropes in for trope's sake rather than the romance as a whole. You want student mentor, enemies to lovers, slight age gap, Romeo and Juliet all in one book? Here you go, but honestly it's not like you don't know what happens in the vaguest of senses from reading the other five books. I also wouldn't recommend reading these two as standalones, or you will be insanely lost.

Part of me wants to comment on the whole Blind-Representation but there really wasn't any if you think about it. She was always using the term "eye-sight" for when she saw through her chains and was never truly blinded.

So YEAH.

Reckless times

Can I just start by saying I love love love Andromeda and I mean everything about her.
Andromeda has spent her life in a guilded cage over protective parents want to "keep her safe" due to her blindness but it's safe to say being hidden from the world most of her life has been a massive hindering in her being able to control and understand her powers.

Stephan is completely controlled always follows the rules and does what's best for his family. Then he meets Andromeda and that all goes out the window!!!

The connection between these 2 is plain to see but it's more than a sexual desire or lust they seem like they are connected to each other on a whole other level.

Can Stephan look by what he sees as a betrayal? I hope he takes the time to find out the facts before he hits that self destruct button.

So not ready for this series to end its just so unbelievably amazing.

May even be better than wicked gods

I have had this in my tbr pile for a long time, I was waiting until Savage Games was closer to being released. It did not disappoint & when I finished last night I immediately wanted to read Savage Games but it isn't out just yet 😞.

I may now go and buy this plus the wicked god series (I read on KU). As I know I'll be rereading, I maybe rereading this in a couple of weeks so I'm fully ready for Savage Games.

This book intertwines with wicked gods around the point you'd expect it to, so Daisy & her guys come in around chapter 30. But Andromeda and Stephsn do not disappoint. Their love is not hidden from themselves & Stephan is open about his to Andromeda but this is not a smooth ride. Andromeda is fiercely independent & has her own huge demons to fight & her anger is immense.

Loved this maybe more than wicked gods.

Ugh!

I am all for a strong female lead but I felt the female lead was such a bit** most of the time it drew away from the story and became irritating to the point where I started skipping entire chapters under her POV. She seemed angry at everyone for no reason and super selfish. An entire book and i saw no redeeming aspects of her personality. On the flip side I thought the male lead was a wuss. Sadness.

I felt the story dragged and the big “reveal” at the end of the book was predictable and could have occurred many chapters before. I was hoping this book would sum up in one book and lead to the second book with other lead characters but sadly this ended in a cliffhanger. I will not subject myself to another book with Andy as lead.

Stephan and Andy (Andromeda)

Spin off from Gifted Academy.
We met these two in book 3 of Daisy and her harems journey to rid the world of evil events.
Andromeda is an anomaly in the idol world, as idols are they're perfect, no disabilities. But Andromeda is blind. But she tones it down, she's more powerful than she looks. Cause of her blindness her parents have kept her inside being homeschooled.
An opportunity arises for her to attend Paragon Academy and Stephan is to be her mentor. He's a few years older, and a college student.
They both develop feelings for one another, but it's not as simple as it looks. As they're dealing with their end of events that was going on through Gifted Academys timeline.

Can't wait for book 2, Savage Games

Interesting sequel from Andromeda and Stephen's perspective.

In this sequel, the events of the 1st 4 books are seen from Andromeda & Stephen's vantage point. Reminiscent of the movie "Vantage Point" where the same event progresses from a specific vantage point, before rewinding to the event from a different perspective. What was most interesting to me was how the characters tried unsuccessfully time and again to deal with emotions, issues and people by themselves without enlisting aid from trusted sources, where available. This lone ranger approach is rarely successful, yet people persist in this ineffective methodology. Reminds me of the classic line from "Cool Hand Luke" - "what we have here.... is a failure to communicate."

I really enjoyed this one, it's a spin off two characters who appeared in the gifted academy series. We met Stephen & Andromeda in Hateful Heroes and events in this book are told in a way which cleverly overlaps with HH so it was a real bonus to see things from a different viewpoint ! I loved Andy, she's the blind idol who everyone underestimates and refuses to let her disability stop her. Great push & pull chemistry between her and Stephen and there's a surprise plot twist in this book, can't wait to see where this goes !
