The Fate of the Tala

Rate this book
An Uneasy Marriage,
An Unholy Alliance.

The tales tell of three sisters, daughters of the high king. The eldest, a valiant warrior-woman, conquered her inner demons to become the high queen. The youngest, and most beautiful outlived her Prince Charming and found a strength beyond surface loveliness.
And the other one, Andi? The introverted, awkward middle princess is now the Sorceress Queen, Andromeda—and she stands at the precipice of a devastating war.
As the undead powers of Deyrr gather their forces, their High Priestess focuses on Andi, undermining her at every turn. At the magical barrier that protects the Thirteen Kingdoms from annihilation, the massive Dasnarian navy assembles, ready to pounce the moment Andi’s strength fails. And, though her sisters and friends gather around her, Andi finds that her husband, Rayfe, plagued with fears over her pregnancy, has withdrawn, growing ever more distant.
Fighting battles on too many fronts, Andi can’t afford to weaken, as she’s all that stands between all that’s good in the world and purest evil.
For Andi, the time to grow into her true power has come. . .

So here it is the final book in this amazing series and quite rightly it ends how it began with Andi and her Tala husband Rayfe. Andi is pregnant and for the Tala that's a scary prospect because they've lost so many of their young ones . Rayfe is superstitious and so very distant that Andi despairs that their relationship will never return to its halcyon days. If passion is missing from Andi's life then danger certainly isn't because the Dasnarian navy is waiting to annihilate the Thirteen kingdoms and all that really stands between them is the magical barrier that Andi controls but is she strong enough to defeat a God ?
This convoluted journey has been amazing as the author has added characters and indeed threads to this world that she deftly picks up here to bring a satisfying conclusion. Whilst I personally missed the romance and passion that has driven this series this book is about love more than anything. Characters reaffirm their feelings for each other, relationships are cemented and Andi finally becomes the Queen of the Tala wholeheartedly embracing her inner strength and overcoming any vulnerabilities. For this reader I was a little sad that we didn't get more from Rayfe but with so many characters coming together I understand that everything had to build up for the ultimate showdown of good versus evil. This is well written but I implore you please don't start here but read this series in order and follow this magical journey.
This voluntary take is of an advanced copy and my thoughts and comments are honest and I believe fair

This is the final book in The Twelve Kingdoms series, which also includes The Uncharted Realms and closely ties to The Chronicles of Dasnaria. I do feel you really should read the entire series in either chronological or publication order in order to understand the series best. But even more so for this book, because it brings everything together in the end.

While all the previous books bring a new couple together, this book follows Andromeda, or Andi. She’s the one who is fated to win this war that has been building throughout the series. She also has to do this while being very pregnant, which has her husband extremely on edge because the Tala have difficulties with pregnancies.

I really liked how we got to spend a little bit of time with all the different couples from previous books and how all of them had a part in winning this war. Every single one of them was necessary, even if it was Andi who did a lot of the heavy lifting.

This has been a really fun series. Parts of it can be pretty dark, but overall, it is a fantasy romance series, so while dark in places, there is a lot of love too. There is also a lot with family, not just blood family, but also the family you create throughout your life. The characters in this story are wonderful. I really wanted to root for them throughout the series. I highly recommend, if you haven’t read this series, to pick up The Mark of the Tala and give it a try.

“It’s an unfortunate fact of life that we often behave the worst to those who love us best, simply because we trust that they’ll understand and forgive.”

She sat back and studied me. “How did it go? Successfully, according to early reports, but you look tired.”
“One day people will stop telling me I look tired,” I replied wryly.
“Better than people saying you look dead,” Dafne commented, not looking up from what she was reading.

Well this is the end of a journey that stated on October of 2015 for me when I bought The Mark of the Tala and end now with The Fate of the Tala and I thought it was a really nice touch to end the book with the same 2 characters the first book was about.

It tended to be a bit dark in places because they were in a horrible situation with an enemy that seemed to have no weakness but in a story like this it makes the ending that much more glorious and satisfying, I had some minor complaints but nothing I need to verbalize here but I hope to see the ending of 1 more story that is not exactly about the Tala since she has spun off so many side stories and characters from the original trilogy.

So without giving away anything of importance this was a very satisfying ending to this long story that has been in the making for me for about 4 1/2 years and it was worth it. I have to give JRR Tolkien some credit because he laid the basic framework of epic fantasy so many years ago and it still works wonderfully today.

4 Stars mainly because I still have questions about "What happened to (fill in characters name)" and hope she might write another novel gathering all these threads up or at least a novella but all the main characters and stories from the main Tala story is taken care of here and it was a great trip.

I liked reading on my phone a few books ago, but now, I always love print more! Oh do not listen to me, I was too lazy to put it on my reader. So it took me like a month! I know right, slow reader here.

Back to business!!

Omg why is Rayfe so weird. That is honestly my thought for most of the book. Why is Rayfe such a weirdo! Book 1, people! Book 1! They were so right and now they are so right, and it broke me!

Other than weirdo Rayfe, there were actually a plot too. Those evil mofos Deyrr, Dasnarians, that evil Sorceress are coming to kill everyone. So everyone has to band together to bring them down, which means everyone from previous books show up.

So the end finally came. I did feel that maybe they did not have to make a list of who ws for them and who was against, but other than that it was quite the ride and omg Rayfe, it had me so worried. I was all what is happppppening?!

*insert happy piggy flailing*

This book is so good!

This story is told from the viewpoint of Andi and with her taking the lead again everything is coming to a full circle. Danger and the enemy are looming and it will take not just Andi and her powers, but everyone to bring this all to a happy end.

I loved revisiting Andi, and loved seeing how she is growing into the power she discovered back in The Mark of the Tala. With both Dasnaria and the priestess of Deyrr closing in this story is full of suspense, danger, action, and emotion. As Andi fights to save her kingdom and the people she loves, she is thwarted from an unexpected source, and I was on the edge of my seat, even knowing Jeffe Kennedy wouldn't let something happen that would break my heart.

What she does do very well is getting me to sniffle and tear up at several moments. Seeing all the characters she made me fall in love with over the course of these books coming together and trying to turn the tide is powerful and emotional.

The conclusion of this book and these series is epic and wonderful!

There's one thing left unfinished, but overall this book is a perfect ending to a wonderful series, that I will keep rereading for sure.

The Fate of the Tala is the exciting culmination of Ms. Kennedy’s The Uncharted Realms and The Twelve Kingdoms series. It all started in The Mark of the Tala with Andi, middle daughter of former High King Uorsin and Tala Sorceress Salena, so it is more than fitting that this sweeping tale end with Andi’s point-of-view. Tensions with both the High Priestess of Deyrr and the Dasnairan Empire are at a boiling point, and Andi sees many futures where Annfwn is overrun by both groups. She’s working hard to try and control future events while bringing to Annfwn those closest to the Tala to help defeat the threats. And in fact, this story features all of the past characters in some capacity, playing their parts. In addition to the overwhelming dangers, Andi is pregnant, a blessed and rare event for the Tala, and the love of her life, King Rayfe, is overbearing, overprotective, and downright cruel at times.

Andi has come a long way since she was first introduced eight books ago, and although she’s always been a supporting character in the subsequent books, we’ve not learned much about her powers since The Mark of the Tala. In The Fate of the Tala, we gain an understanding of the struggles and triumphs Andi has come up against over the past couple years. She’s developed her talents, but still sees herself as an outsider - someone who grew up away from Annfwn, and therefore, doesn’t have the natural talent many of the Tala possess. Her confidence is shaken more due to Rayfe’s cutting remarks and actions, leaving Andi alone and confused. Luckily Andi receives sage advice and sound support from family and friends, keeping her motivated to figure things out and keep all positive momentum moving forward. While I was furious with Rayfe, it was pretty obvious what was going on, and I liked how that particular problem resolved itself. I loved seeing Andi embrace her love for family, friends, and the Tala, as well as her part in the war, and how she learns to accept fate on her terms.

There are many skirmishes and an epic battle that brings resolution to the Tala / Deyrr storyline. The book is full of action, detail, and color that rises to a culmination, proportional to and deserving of this series. It is clearly the end of the current series and conflict, but the door has been left open for more stories, especially with regard to the Dasnarian aspects of the series. The Fate of the Tala is an epic conclusion for a wonderful fantasy romance series. I loved that the story returned to the start of the conflict and heart of the series.

It's a tall order to get a satisfying conclusion to a 12 book series, especially one as rich in characters, world-building, feeling, and plot as this one. Still, Jeffe Kennedy knocked it out of the park.

I was a little worried about the fact that this book did not have a new central romance and that I would feel the lack.

Nope.

Revisiting Andi and Rayfe was amazing. Yes, they had their HEA in book one, but there are problems for them which are totally germane to the plot and I believed it. And because I already cared so much about these characters, I felt the rollercoaster of emotions the events took Andi through.

This gave me everything I wanted. Every couple from the previous books were part of the story and they were real parts. It never felt like the author was just trotting them out on principle. This wasn't a "look who had a baby" kind of reunion. They're all players in this war... which by the way, was totally epic. This is the culmination of the Derryr storyline that has been the external conflict throughout. And I'll admit I was worried about how our heroes could emerge victorious. But epic battles can't be easy...or they wouldn't be epic.

(While I saw the big return of a character coming, it didn't detract at all from the excitement of seeing her what she brought to the climax.)

Truly, I enjoyed everything about this book, but the best part was how every book... every main event and character... contributed to the payoff.

Worth reading every book in this series.

The Fate of the Tala was a great conclusion to the series. There's action, adventure, love and so much. Although it mainly focused on Andi and Rayfe all the characters from previous played a role in this one which I loved. I loved catching up with them all and seeing glimpses into their future but most of all I loved that the dangling threads were tied up. I definitely recommend this series.

All of the characters of the many proceeding books are showcased here as they gather for the final many-pronged battle. This series has starred many capable and strong women, and I love all the empowered females who leap off the pages in full color. There are so many ties of family and of love which unite the sisters and their compatriots. It’s beautiful to see the final happy ending of safety and love come about.

This has been a lively paranormal romance series with plenty of intrigue, fantastical war, and magic. In the end, it is about the triumph of women with their vast compassion, bravery, and true hearts. Kennedy wraps up this far-reaching epic series with a stunning conclusion in THE FATE OF THE TALA.

I've really enjoyed this whole series and loved that Andi brought it to a close. It began with her, so it felt right that it ended with her too. Some sections felt a bit slow with long strategy discussions that went on a few beats too long, but the final battle was great, and so was the love between the sisters.

Another reviewer said they wish there was an epilogue from years in the future, and I agree though I'm hoping the absence of one means the author left the door open to return to this world with a new generation. *crosses fingers*

A big finale + time for Andi and Rayfe to clear up their problems.
Somehow I felt like the plot in this book is running around in circles. Not my favorite in this series. I am glad that it's (hopefully) finally over.

Once upon a time, there was a story about three sisters. The daughters of a mad king and his foretold (and foretelling) queen. But soothsayers, especially true ones, always fare badly – just ask Cassandra. In the end, Queen Salena went mad and died, before her time but not before she had fulfilled her purpose.

Once upon a time, even longer ago than the first story, there was a story about an innocent young woman, betrayed by her parents, abused by her husband, and saved by her baby brother with a little bit of help from a warrior priestess.

The story of those three princesses, the sorceress Andromeda, the beautiful Amelia and the warrior Ursula, was told as the three parts of The Twelve Kingdoms, where Andi was swept away by a sorcerer king, Ami loved and lost her prince charming, and Ursula took her father’s throne as well as his life.

Through all of their trials and tribulations, the sisters fought against the dead minions of the Priestess of Deyrr, and the machinations of the voracious Drasnarian empire.

That young abused woman was once a Drasnarian princess. She escaped and fled to a faraway land where her former family could not reach her – not through the ranks of the elephants who came to guard her and the people she came to call hers. Her story was told in the Chronicles of Drasnaria.

But the baby brother who helped rescue his sister the former Drasnarian princess grew up to become the mercenary leader who captured the heart of the Warrior Queen Ursula, tying the two stories, and all of their peoples, together.

Throughout the followup to The Twelve Kingdoms, The Uncharted Realms Andi, Ami and Ursula, now queens with lands of their own to rule, found themselves fighting the deeply entrenched tendrils of that High Priestess they first defeated in their father’s throne room.

The Fate of the Tala is the climax to this entire 12-book saga, and it is an epic and stunning conclusion to everything that has come before it.

The series ends, as it began all the way back in The Mark of the Tala five years ago, with the magical kingdom of Annfwn, once the tiny keeper of all of the magic in the world. Andi married Rayfe, the King of Annfwn, to protect the precious heartstone that controlled that magic. A control that has been under attack since long before the sisters were born. An attack that their birth was intended to finally defeat.

If they can. If Andi can let herself embrace all of the power that could be at her command, without giving way to the doubts and fears that have plagued her all her life. And without giving in to the insidious voice of the High Priestess who has planted so many of those fears in order to exploit them now, at the climax of it all.

But the visions of the future that Andi has seen show her the defeat of all she loves and the loss of all she holds dear. She fears can only save the kingdoms only at the cost of her heart and soul. A cost that she only thinks she is willing to pay.

Escape Rating A+: The Fate of the Tala is the shattering conclusion of an epic long in the making – and the reading. And as the conclusion of such an epic, the depths of which I have barely hinted at above, it needs to be read as the conclusion to either a long and lush reading binge or, as I did, years of waiting with bated breath for the next installment in the series.

One of the things that I love about this series, and this is every bit as true for this entry as the others, is that these women, their stories, their kingdoms, their worlds, are complex and beautiful and sometimes terrible in that beauty. Many of their stories walk through very dark places, and we feel their pain, deeply and even heartbreakingly.

So it is in The Fate of the Tala. Andi is assaulted on all sides by the fears that have plagued her all her life – and those fears are so very real. She is pregnant and fears that her husband no longer loves her, wants her, or values her as a partner. She knows that they were fated to marry, whether they loved each other or not, and while she has come to love him desperately it seems that his mask of caring has slipped.

More importantly, he no longer seems to trust her as his co-ruler, meaning that she cannot trust him as hers. Their kingdom, their world is in a desperate fight for its life, a fight that is centered on their kingdom. The division at their very heart could be the crack that destroys them all.

As readers, we can see what is wrong, and we both empathize with Andi and desperately want her to be able to repair the breach, even as we understand that she must do what is right for her people above all, and that the breach may not be repairable – and neither may be her marriage or her husband. And yet she shoulders on.

At the same time, this is also a story about desperation and struggle and hope and fear and pulling together against all the odds. And it’s a story about finding sisterhood and family and hope in even the darkest and most desperate of times. And that last stands do not have to be the last – or actually even a stand, and that sometimes the way to win it all is to let it all go.

If you love fantasy romance and/or epic fantasy tinged with romance, you owe it to yourself to begin with The Mark of the Tala and immerse yourself in a beautifully created and fantastically detailed world. This series is epic in scope and marvelous in detail. If you’re looking for a sweeping heroines’ journey this series can’t be beat.

Although I’d love to see the author try, with more heroines and even more fantastic worlds.

An Uneasy Marriage,
An Unholy Alliance.

The Fate of the Tala is the fifth book in The Uncharted Realms series by Jeffe Kennedy and is the epic finale to a story that begun at the beginning of the Twelve Kingdoms Series with The Mark of the Tala.

Andi was born the second of three daughters to the High King of the Twelve Kingdoms. Awkward and introverted Andi is now Andromeda, the Sorceress Queen of Annfwn and she’s standing at the precipice of a devastating war.

As the undead powers of Deyrr gather their forces, their High Priestess focusses on Andi, undermining her at every turn. At the magical barrier that protects the Thirteen Kingdoms, a massive Dasnarian navy has assembled ready to pounce the moment Andi’s strength fails.

Though her sisters and friends gather around her, Andi finds that her husband, Rayfe, plagued with fears over her pregnancy, has withdrawn and growing ever more distant.

Fighting battles on too many fronts, Andi can’t afford to weaken, after all, she is all that stands between all that’s good in the world and purest evil.

“That was the Annfwn of the past, however. One that seemed doomed to be lost forever. And it would be all my fault that I hadn’t saved it.”

I absolutely loved this book and believe it is an impeccable end to the series.

Jeffe Kennedy has done an amazing job of keeping this world fresh and intriguing across 12 books, I am just as invested with these characters as I was the very first time I picked up The Mark of the Tala and waded into the magical fantasy realm she created.

It was such a pleasure to be able to return to Andi and Rafe, to see how their relationship had progressed, and see Andi come into her full powers, shedding any remaining doubts and insecurities to truly become Andromeda, Sorceress Queen of Annfwn.

I also loved being able to see all the other characters we’ve come to know and love across these novels reunite.

I was so enthralled reading The Fate Of The Tala that it was like I could feel everything Andi was going through, all the fear for what could happen, the angst, confusion and despair about her relationship with Rayfe, I waited with baited breath as the calm turned into the storm and Andi finally faced the High Priestess.

I am so glad to say that everything about this novel lived up to, and surpassed, my expectations and hopes.

I would love to see more novels set in this world, and would love to get to see more of the Dasnarian’s and what happens to them now, and hope that a new spin-off series will be made or that The Chronicles of Dasnaria continue.

I loved everything about this book and cannot recommend it enough.

Review to coutesy of Romance Junkies

Andromeda, Andi to family and friends, is the Queen of the Tala and a powerful sorceress. She is also the avatar of the Goddess Moranu. Andi and her sisters prepare for the upcoming war with the God of Corruption’s undead minions and the Dasnarian Empire. Andromeda’s relationship with her husband grows strained when he is compromised by Deyrr’s high priestess. Will Andi’s power be enough to defeat Deyrr? Will she be forced to forsake her heart to save the Twelve Kingdoms? Or will the arrival of unexpected allies turn the tide of the war?
I went into this book with no idea of Andi’s personality type or temperament. Unfortunately, I have not read THE MARK OF THE TALA, which introduces both the series and Andromeda and Rayfe’s romance. I easily identified with her. I love how Andi is not over confident in her magical ability. She is susceptible to doubts and uncertainties. Andi compromises her talent by comparing her skill to that of her deceased mother. What I admire most about Andi is her reluctance to enter and tamper with another’s mind. She finds it abhorrent and a breach of trust and privacy. There is a certain line Andi set for herself and refuses to cross it no matter what.
THE FATE OF THE TALA is book five in Jeffe Kennedy’s fantasy-romance series, THE UNCHARTED REALMS. It is necessary to read all the books and novellas in the TWELVE KINGDOMS, THE UNCHARTED REALMS, and CHRONICLES OF DASNARIA series to understand all that happens in this story. I intend to find and read the books and novellas in the first two series that I have missed to fill in the gaps. I like how the couples from the prior books all play a pivotal role. I love reacquainting with Harlen and Ursula, Jepp and Kral, and Ivariel and Ochieng again.
THE FATE OF THE TALA is the much-anticipated conclusion to a three part series. I am sad that there will be no more adventures in this stunning and unique world. I will miss the Twelve Kingdoms.

An Epic Finale of an Amazing Series plus Spin Offs! I didn't expect an entire book filled with superior battles of the minds as well as of physical superiority! But that's what I got! I had no words to describe and share how much I loved when the author went far beyond my imagination and expectations! The war was exquisitely and decisively won! I believed this conclusion certainly required unlimited stars since five sure wasn't enough.

What made the finale even more magical for readers who read and loved the entire Twelve Kingdoms Complete Universe , like me, who had definitely lived through and gone along for the ride, was that we could finally say a loving "Farewell and Thank You" to this Universe. One of my beloved universes where magic and love always rule, where the good always win, and where the bad will always be defeated.

Could you also enjoy this story without having read any previous books in the series or spin offs? Yes! One hundred percent "Yes, you could." Please pick up The Fate of the Tala and prove me right! Well, I meant decide for yourselves, please.

Sharing one of my favorite scenes:

A vision flashed into my mind of another snowy night, another fire—though this one a shadowed cave. A much younger Salena and Uorsin sealed a bargain between them. And my mother's voice echoed over time.

You made sacred Annfwn safe again, and you gave the Tala what I could not: a future. One of infinite possibilities.

I closed my eyes against the welling tears.

"Andromeda," Rayfe brushed a kiss on my shoulder. "Are you all right?"

"Yes." I took his hand and pressed a kiss to his palm. "Everything is so good, I almost can't bear it."

"You'd best learn to, because this is how our lives will be."

Finally got around to reading the last book in one of my favorite fantasy romance series! The Fate of the Tala by Jeffe Kennedy was an amazing conclusion to the whole Twelve Kingdoms series and the spin-off books! Everything has come full circle in this one!
We started off with the story of Andi in The Mark of the Tala, and while we followed her sisters and other characters in the subsequent books, we get to end it with her again! And I loved experiencing it!

To be completely honest, Ursula used to be my favorite of the three sisters especially after The Talon of the Hawk, but after reading this one I think I love Andi more now!❣️

It's been amazing seeing her develop from an unsure princess to a formidable sorceress and queen for the Tala! Jeffe Kennedy has a knack for writing such beautiful, vibrant characters who are so real and human! I loved watching Andi navigate her personal relationships and overcome her fears and doubts!
The sisterly bonds are strong in this one and that's one of my favorites! The banter between them added some sweet moments to the story!
I don't want to give any spoilers away, but I loved watching all the characters come together and fight the threat of Deyrr in this one! I loved the magical fight scenes!
I was slightly disappointed with Rayfe in the begining, but I quickly caught up on what was happening and I think he more than made up for things by the end!
My only complaint is that I want more!
I'm sorry, but I really can't believe that this series is over! I need to spend more time with my favorite characters! I desperately wish we get to visit them again!(Please? Maybe another spin off in the distant future?)

picked this up but it was on a different device so there was a gap in reading.

... will... add more thoughts later when I have time ...

but ...

C- ... - ?

ok so it's 3.12 now and I finished the book more like 2 AM on 3.11 so it's been more time than it seems ... I liked seeing all the characters coming together. I kinda ... thought it was an Andi ... ok so it was definitely all Andi but ... it was 90% of her whinging. I get the stress and freaking out - but the point is YOU KNOW SHE'LL WIN. IT'S A ROMANCE. THERE WILL BE A HEA. So I want to see more of the THIS IS HOW WE DO! This is my prep! We can do it!
Instead of ... the whinging...

I do feel badly for her because she's a bit caught between "two worlds" ...
The whole Rayfe thing. Hard to discuss without spoilers.

However there's ... pretty much nothing of them. Sure, Rayfe is supportive at the end, and the END end is cute, but that's a few pages.
I was hoping for further relationship development/cementing - seeing a couple in love ... and there's none of that. In fact pretty much EVERY. OTHER. COUPLE. has it.

And it was all "oh we're all going to die constant visions of the world ending and us losing and everyone dying" and... no it wasn't EASY but .... it's hard to describe because yes in a way it seemed too easy.

I did like what eventually happened with "the line" and [the heart?]

But yeah.
Probably book 2 is still my favorite or Dafne's is - they're really close.

It's wonderful when a series concludes with a book that keeps you on edge as the characters walk the last of their dark, dangerous path, and THE FATE OF THE TALA does just that!

This last book brings all the familiar faces together for one last stand off. Andi and Rayfe started it all in THE MARK OF THE TALA and they are the POVs at the end, which is pure genius on Kennedy's part IMO. And I loved how we got to see them as a married couple, struggling with a baby on the way and their world nearly being torn apart.

If you enjoy fantasy romance with incredible world building and characters, start with book one and hang on for a fantastic ride!

This book was fantastic. It culminated in a thrilling conclusion for the story I've been following across five books. Andromeda is my favorite sister because her powers set her apart, but those powers required more learning and discovery in this book. She also had her troubles with Rayfe and the High Priestess of Deyrr, requiring a battle of wits and strategy that she nearly couldn't handle. Kennedy manages to keep the reader's interest in the relationships of the protagonists, even when we believe the story has already been wrapped up nicely in other books. I love that the struggles and trials keep the characters interesting and growing.

I loved all of the Twelve kingdom books, the Uncharted Realms, and the Chronicles of Dasnaria so I was super excited to read the conclusion in this book. Because this book had so many characters and so much plot to get through, the romance took a bit of a backseat which I missed. It was a great book, but not one of my favorites from the series. I wish we had also had an epilogue from many years in the future.

Oof this was a hard one to read. The story was good but it was definitely darker and deeper than the previous stories. It was hard to see Andi struggle so much and it was definitely one of those books where I wanted to crawl into the pages and throttle so many of the characters lol.

It was a nice way to wrap everything up and I’m glad there was a HEA. I’ll be sad to say goodbye to this series, I just have the last novella to go.

And the circle is closed!

What a fitting end to the tale!! I highly recommend this series to everyone! I loved watching the sisters grow up and into their own lives. Jeffe is a master weaver of tales who draws you into the lives of so many characters, you feel connected to each of them. Truly one of my favorite authors ever!

Conclusion to the long-running Twelve Kingdoms/Uncharted Realms series (except not quite, I guess there's still another related novella?) Still! All the characters of the various books reunite for a battle, and finally take down the big baddie. I liked the symmetry of returning to Andi and Rayfe from book one.

A stunning conclusion (at least to this story arc) to a favorite series. I’m sorry to see it end, but still holding out hope that we haven’t seen the last of this amazing world. There is another generation waiting in the wings. Just saying.

All's well that ends well

The story took many books to tell. This last book seemed rushed and the resolution overly simple. I feel many loose ends remain. The book was enjoyable and the ending all one could want, coming full circle back to three sisters and three goddesses.

This was a great conclusion. Just enough romantic angst that you know can be solved and good tension.

All I want now is to know what happened when Jenna and Kral saw each other again and to see Jenna march elephants through Darsnia.

Good wrap up

Was great to see all the familiar characters together again. The book was at times heart wrenching, but you knew that the sisters would prevail.
