Hannah Hickok is a brand new witch living in a brave new world. Casper Creek, a cosplay western town left to her by a grandmother she didn’t know, belongs to Hannah … and a few colorful characters (more affectionately referred to as workers) are part of the deal. Cooper Wyatt is head of security and the last thing he wants is a new face on his turf … until he meets Hannah and feels that instant sizzle. Unfortunately, the flirtation comes with a heaping side of trouble. Hannah didn’t know she was magical until she landed in Casper Creek but she’s determined to learn everything she can. Cooper didn’t know he was ready for a relationship until she waltzed into his world and stole his heart. Together, they’re going to fight monsters and their own emotions as they try building a life together. It will be an adventure – and romance – for the ages.
This three-book omnibus includes: The Dirty Coven, A Fistful of Demons, and Boot Scootin’ Boogeyman.
The Dirty Coven (A Hannah Hickok Witchy Mystery Book 1)
Love the characters, love Jinx the dog. Interesting premise, and mystery. Looking forward to future books.
Interested to see more of her power building.
I recommend all Lily Harper Hart mysteries and those she writes under Amanda M Lee also. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- A Fistful of Demons (A Hannah Hickok Witchy Mystery Book 2)
I really enjoyed the first book and now that introductions are mostly over this was better. Loved the story and a bit twisty and unexpected. Some grim spots toward the end when you're learning the life of the "bad guy" but not details. Great character interaction. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Boot Scootin' Boogeyman (A Hannah Hickok Witchy Mystery Book 3)
It seems they just get better. Hannah and Cooper's relationship has progressed to a real date but the "After Dinner Show" was un looked for and unwanted. It seems women looking like Hannah have been going missing and one of them was just discovered. What happened to her, where are the others, Hannah is looking to discover just that especially when one women disappears from her property.
These are turning into really entertaining books and I'm looking forward to more. I was not sure of my interest when the first book was about to come out but read it because I love Amanda M Lee/Lily Harper Hart books, I was glad I picked it up. I recommend all of the books she writes under either name.
A pleasant if lightweight read my first delve into this genre of "Cosy Mysteries". I was attracted by the magical combined with western aspects of the story and while they are part of the package they weren't at the forefront as much as I'd hoped. More prominent was the mystery where I shouldn't be surprised, and the romance between the lead character that to be honest got a bit annoying and in the way sometimes.
This was a dip into this genre, and based on the number of books I've got backing up in my main reading areas, I'll likely not follow up on one.
A good read, all three books. I am not really a fan of trilogies as I find that many border on being monotonous. This, however, was an exception as one story flowed smoothly into the next, and the three read as one.
Very attractive and well crafted characters, Hannah, Carter, Tyler, Astra and even at the end, monster Nick. Jinx, the dog took on a life and character of his own. The female characters were strong dominant women, holding their place and their lives together. The level of magic included suited the stories well.
Well, I was reading, more or less, merrily along until I came across this nonsense, “I don’t know what to feel ... and that’s the honest-to-goodness truth. I don’t know what’s right or wrong.' He frowned. 'There is no right or wrong. You should only feel what you feel.”
If you want an amusing and sometimes laugh out loud series with modern witches and paranormal, try some of Vered Ehsani's books featuring the Wavely Witches.
As always, a wonderful book by one of my favorite authors! It is so hard to put down the book once you start reading. This is definitely one of my favorite series by this author. The characters pull you into the books and you won't want to put it down until you find out what happens!
Lily Harper Hart is an amazing writer who knows how to bring the characters to life and make you feel as if you're there with them. Hannah Hickok is a fun exciting series that will keep you guessing until the very end. Looking forward to reading all of her adventures.
I had problems with mid twenties being young, when the main female character Hannah was 27 herself. This idea was repeated throughout the books. It was just an odd thing to say and repeat and repeat! Before 20 could be called young, but not someone mid twenties. Come on! Overall though the stories were clean and entertaining.
This clever series kept me engaged and entertained as I read it. I like that Hannah inherited the western town and learned that she was a witch, just like her grandmother. A very fun read!
What a brilliant box set, I really enjoyed the series Amy that Hannah is a completely brilliant character. Well done Lily for creating characters that were believable and real!
Ok, sometimes the world just works in your favour. Good things happen but when bad things happen its good to have people there for you. Good characters, decent storylines and a continuous theme under it all.
