Just when it looked like the dragon riders would band together and save the day…
An epic dragon riding adventure from Jada Fisher, author of the popular Brindle Dragon series.
Ukrah and her dragon rider friends have come under attack by those they thought they could trust. With nothing else to do, they push on, trying to rescue vessels from those who would use them for their own gain. If they aren’t careful, though, they may wind up helping those that are looking to enslave the new vessels, or worse. Can they uncover the truth or will the ultimate deception put an end to the heroes that are once again looking to save the world?
Deception is the sixth book in the Rise of the Black Dragon series which follows the story of a young girl blessed—and cursed—with a magic she doesn’t understand.

The story is just starting to get interesting! And then we have to wait for the next book! I kinda want to pull out my hair. But I really like this series! I can't wait for the next book! I want to find out more about the vessels and I love that we still get to find out what is going on with the other characters from the Brindle series. My only complaint is that in the Brindle series it was all about Dragon riding and the school. In this series it is more about the old gods and vessels. Viorde is still in the book but is kinda more of an after thought of at least it seems like that to me.. Or in the next book they will be able to figure out how to control his magic so it isn't cutting of the main characters magic. I swear though if the author kills off on of the main characters again I will fling my tablet. I am hoping for a happy ending not a bitter sweet one lol I would definitely recommend this series I love the books and I am excited for the next one.
Crispin and Cassinda being vessels is one of those kind of worst kept secret jokes right?
I’d be lying if it wasn’t insanely annoying that it took this long for Ukrah to figure that out… It was pretty obvious from the moment she met Cassinda and pretty quickly after meeting Crispin…
For being the main antagonist she really is kind of thin in the brains department I don’t blame Tayir for always being mad at her…
This rating is as high as I can go.You don't really have a chance to get bored. There is some real butt kicking in this book. Those kids are only getting started. You need to read this entire series. Good reading.
Enjoyed all six books in this series.. I read one right after another until finishing last night. The characters were well written..just loved the Desert Girl and her baby dragon. Crispin was such a good mama.
Enjoyed the characters but also would like to see an occasional reference to Eist and her friends in the story as a way to remind us how they came to be where they are but love the way the stories are progressing very enjoyable
The game is afoot, and the vessels are to be revealed. That said, the adventure is begun. The witch hunters have attacked the refugees and the palace. The story continues. A good read.
Book 6 brings more adventure and deception to our MC's: Ukrah Crispin, and Cassinda as they confront another vessel and try to help her escape from slavery. Another great read. Loved the writing. Happy reading!
As you think how can this get any better, will it does! And my gosh such a turn of events. So now we know who everyone is and what their purpose is. We just are building up to the end. But with 3 more books, I’m not sure my poor heart can take it so much excitement!
More vessels are being awakened. The author uses t he power that comes from that second between life and death to make the impossible, possible. I was wrong about Cassida
