Kicked out of the house at sixteen for being gay, Seth has learned how to make a life for himself on the streets. Now, at twenty-one, he has seen both the good and bad of society as he's struggled to survive.
Gentry Steele is a household name in America. Everyone knows him. He pulled himself from poverty to wealth by pure luck. He has everything anyone could ever ask for, apart from the one thing he's always wanted, love.
At the wedding of a mutual friend, Gentry saves Seth from a trip to jail. The simple act turns into a weekend of passion and pleasure that neither can forget. One weekend isn't enough.
As the two spend time together, they find they have more in common than they thought, and that their goals aren't so different.
Determined to make parents who kick their children out of the house pay for what they've done, Gentry and Seth find that money doesn't matter and that what they create together is more important than anything they've done in the past.
E.M. Leya lives surrounded by the beautiful mountains in Salt Lake City, Utah with her amazing daughter and loving pets. She is passionate about the world we live in and current events, deeming herself a "news junkie". She believes that we are all here to create something beautiful, whether it's through our talents or our actions. She enjoys writing stories that take us deep into real world problems while showing that love can happen for anyone, regardless of how dark their past might be.
They meet at the wedding, Seth was stealing food, and Gentry let him. Movie star, Gentry, had a getaway planned in Utah, and gave homeless, Seth, an offer he couldn't refuse. At first Seth, 21, went for the money, but as they talked and shared stories, the two men liked each other's company. There was an argument and a terrible reaction, but they recovered. The weekend ended up as fun, relaxing, and eye-opening. On the last night, their passion took over, with a hot, sexy romp, but what will happen when Gentry has to go home to L.A.? Wonderful writing, with everything we like to see, the hot men, great sex, drama, fun, feels, a failure, and tension that is smoothed by love. ENJOY !
To my ratings: A 3,5* is clicked with a 4* but in review marked as 3,5*:
5* - very very good and rare (it would be a Blow-Away-book like ‘Jesse's Smile’ or ‘Joey’ from Angelique Jurd, ‘Save the the kids’ series from EM Leya, ‘Love’s Tethered Heart’ from C.L. Etta or ‘Liberty’ from Seth King), it's like an A+
4* - very good and will be often reread and is a WOW-book with interesting plot and surprises (like most of Andrew Grey books and Davidson Kings 'Haven Hart'-series) it's like an A
3,5* - a really good book, which will be reread a few times (most romances where you can enjoy for relaxing and during waiting times in hospitals). I can recommend them definitively! It's like an B+
3* - it could be more then a one-time-reader (2-3 times a year), it's like a B
2* - it was ok to read, but it's more a one-time-reader (I wouldn't recommend it heartily, but it was ok) It's like a C-, D
1* - sorry, but that isn't really a book for me (too many mistakes, not nice plot, illogical, so an absolute NO-GO). It's like failure in the whole line, dismissed, repeat the class
With a strong focus on kids thrown out of their homes, this romance shows the grittier side of life on the street in contrast with a few who manage to eventually find their way forward. Emotionally vulnerable, Ryan over analyzes his every reaction when he meets Gentry. While the eventual outcome is expected, there is considerable doubt about the couple’s relationship along the way.
Good character development and a supporting cast who’s stories are sometimes similar. Ends with a promise for a HEA.
Seth is caught when he sneaks into his friend's wedding but an unlikely source prevents him from going to jail. Gentry appears to have everything someone could possibly want: looks, fame, fortune. In reality, Gentry feels as out of place as Seth. As these two spend the weekend together, emotions that neither were really expecting begin to grow between them. That's when the real story begins.
Now, I have been a fan of these books since the very first one and the stories keep growing and getting more emotional.
I really love this author and this series just gets better! I enjoyed watching Seth and Gentry realise they had so much more uncommon than they thought. There was laughter and tears and mention of characters from previous books. I enjoyed the secondary characters cried for Ryan and really hope Nate gets his story next.
I have always loved this series and this last addition was just as well written and captivating as the rest have been. I loved the characters, Gentry and Seth. Whilst this is fiction, it still highlights the ever present issue with youth homelessness and the need for more assistance.
When Seth was first introduced in Ky’s story, I thought he was playful, yet vulnerable and I couldn’t wait to read his story. I don’t know where to start with Caught in the Act. I feel like there was very little plot and what plot there was was slow and mushy to the point of being unreadable. In my opinion, this was the worst one in the series.
I loved this series and Ive read every one. It’s a great feel good HEA story and the characters are weaved in from the other book so it’s good to read them all. Highly recommended series
