Gray’s Anatomy Puzzle Book is a superb read as it's both informative and entertaining. Using a variety of different puzzles, including sudoku, anagrams, and crosswords, I found the facts about the human body fascinating. Ranging from amateur to expert, there is something here for everyone depending on your knowledge level. I loved that the challenges were all clever methods to force you to think and remember and then it reinforces what you have learned in your head; it basically tests your memory. It's a fun, engaging and refreshingly original way to learn about different parts of our bodies and their functions.
Each of the 36 subject chapters feature a full-page illustration of the body part in question followed by introductory text about it. Designed in a pleasing style, which is easy on the eye, I thoroughly enjoyed passing the time with it. The answers to all of the puzzles are provided at the back of the book, which helps you to understand how much you've learned. The information is a fairly basic introduction to the bodily systems and is therefore accessible to everyone. All in all, this is a fun and educational revision tool. Highly recommended. Many thanks to White Lion Publishing for an ARC.
If you like to learn along with your puzzles, this is the book for you. Every chapter includes what you need to solve the puzzles, but the information is solid and not watered down. Recommended!

Hmmm… Using a classical textbook style, this puzzle book shows a timeless visual quality, but on closer examination might not be in the perfect bill of health. For every subject we get a full-page illustration, and introductory text, telling us the structures of the hand, or defining the ribs as true, false or floating, or running us through the colon (nice). We then get the two pages of puzzles for each topic, but these will be immediately answerable if we've just read the paragraph preceding. Some are rather on the easy side anyway, and any ounce of medical, or logical/puzzling graft will get you the answers quickly, but even with the harder, more specialist ones, I actually fail to see the purpose of any of them if we've just read the answers a whopping one page turn ago.
So if you're coming to this as a puzzler, avoid the text at all costs, until you've done the quizzes, sudoku, cryptic crossword clues etc. If you're here for the medical revision, you better not be a doctor of mine for a few good years yet, as a lot of this is high school stuff. Only seldom would a medical browser have decent mental fun, say in doing anagrams of medical terms shown on an olde worlde diagram but one labeled in the classically abbreviated fashion.
At least it wasn't about the TV programme, though.
Gray's Anatomy Puzzle Book is a fun and educational book. I was unsure what to expect. Simply a book with puzzles and questions which, based on how long ago I took an A&P class, would have been a little too challenging to be fun. Or a book with the information included and the puzzles serving as a kind of memory test as well as an anatomy check. Fortunately, it is the latter of the two.
If you have little or no anatomy knowledge, or it has been so long since you took a course, don't worry. This wonderful book offers information and puzzles so you can learn as you go. While this is certainly no substitute for a course, this would be a great gift for someone thinking about going into the healthcare field. It will familiarize them with the body in a fun way so that when the systems are explored in more detail later they will have a foundation on which to build. For the rest of us, this is a light and easy way to learn or relearn the very basics.

I got this today but I actually Love this book. This is so unique and It’s a great and fun way to learn things you wouldn’t actually learn otherwise. Unless you were in the medical profession. I did find It really forces you to think, especially in the word searches. Can’t wait to finish the whole book! Who knows when you might need to know things. Feeling like I’m the new Meredith Grey! I’ve learned the names of parts of my body I didn’t know I’ve had for 32 years! I feel this could actually get people learning things that wouldn’t normally read. Well done. Thank you for the Arc copy NetGalley and White Lion Publishing.
The authors of this book have really put a lot of thought and effort into it. Broken down in easy sections. Each chapter concentrates on a different part of the body. A good description is then followed by puzzles to answer questions rather than just a question and answer format. This has been done in such a fun way it’s sure to aid revision. I’ve good a good understanding of anatomy but some of the questions had me thinking. Follow by a groan and a laugh when you get the answer. This is a brilliant revision tool. Many thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for the arc in return for an honest review
An interesting premise on learning. Each "chapter" (about 3 pages) contains the same things. One page a few paragraphs delving into a specific part of the body listing muscles, bones, tendons, and how things work. These are fairly high level and interesting to read. This page is followed by puzzles that usually have the answers contained in the paragraphs above with a few outliers. The puzzles are actually a fun mix of search a words, sudoku, matching and more. It was a lot to digest. I would HIGHLY recommend buying this book in the physical form as it will be easier to do the puzzles as well as flip back and forth to the answers.
This book does more than just tell about anatomy, it provides a way to stimulate your memory about the parts of the body. The different parts, such as feet, neck, internal organs, and others are described in a brief summary. Then various puzzles are included to you have to solve using the information you just read.
This would be an excellent book for someone who is in the medical field, but it could also be enjoyed by someone who wants a challenging puzzle book. The puzzles vary in difficulty, so you can be sure to find one that fits what you are looking for in a challenge.
I received a complimentary copy from the publisher through NetGalley. All opinions are my own.
The Gray’s Anatomy Puzzle Book has 36 chapters. Each covers all the bones and organs in a human as well as the assorted body systems. There are two to three puzzles per chapter. The puzzles include all the major puzzles types from word circles to Sudoku. The illustrations are excellent too.
The Gray’s Anatomy Puzzle Book is an excellent tool for anatomy students to test their memory and their puzzle-solving skills. For regular puzzle lovers, like me, it is difficult to get the answers from reading the short introductory paragraph to each section. 4 stars!

Head to toe, a unique medical challenge! Whether you are a medical professional or a novice or just an admirer of all things medical, you will appreciate the puzzles offered in this book. You can learn, or play, but why not both! The anatomy is thorough, and the puzzles are varied in type and level of difficulty. Thankfully, the answers are provided in a key the end of the book. I received a complimentary copy of this book from the publisher via NetGalley and all opinions expressed are my own and freely given.
The Grey's Anatomy Puzzle Book by Gareth Moore and Gabrielle M Finn was fantastic! Thanks Netgalley. I took a forensic anthropology class years ago and this book would have helped so much. I loved the puzzles to help me remember what I just read. I really loved that class and this book was a great refresher. I can imagine a lot of classes would have use for a book like this. It was also very helpful to have the solutions to the puzzles at the end of the book. This will definitely be a book I look at again and will be sharing with others.
This book is amazing for college students studying for the medical profession or anyone else who wants a challenge. The skeletal system and the organs are laid out in 36 chapters with detailed knowledgeable excerpts, sketched pictures and a variety of puzzles the reader must have general knowledge about. The questions are both easy and hard with the solutions in the back of the book, , a perfect way to study This is also a great gift.
This puzzle book is so amazingly done! Love the design, the illustration and it's always great to have fun while learning! It's good for both young people but also adult people that want to know more and keep their brain busy. I'd recommend this book - it's very well done and the puzzles are not boring at all. Thanks NetGalley for the eARC in exchange for an honest review.
This book is brilliant – really tests your brain! A long time since I’ve had anything to do with studying anatomy but found this really interesting and engaging.
Thank you NetGalley for my complimentary copy in return for my honest review.
This was actually pretty fun if not a bit easy, especially as the puzzles relate to what you just read and they can become easy to answer ;) But I did learn a few things and think it would be great for high school/college age .
This is a fun way to learn or review anatomy. I never expected to learn so much in one book, and have fun doing it. Thanks to Net Galley for an ARC in exchange for an honest interview.
This book is much better than I expected. Fully of biology questions, anagrams and puzzles. Ideal of ks3+ as well as adults it would be a fun revision tool .
Gray's Anatomy Puzzle Book is a cool way to learn about the body. It consists of short overviews of different parts of the body - limbs, main organs and systems, followed by a review section in the form of a few puzzles. The puzzles are cleaver and the variety is nice. The information itself is short and quite basic, making it accessible to both older and younger readers. The illustrations are really nice as well.
