Some of the incredible boss women featured include Cindy Eckert, the CEO of The Pink Ceiling and Sprout Pharmaceuticals; Lola Tash, the co-founder and CEO of MyTherapistSays; Luisa Santos, founder of Lulu’s Ice Cream; and Catherine Cu, the creative co-founder and CEO of Cocofloss; among many more! Each woman has a story to tell, from being a trailblazer in their career field to creating new ways of seeing things to following their passions.
Many of these women have overcome incredible challenges to become the leaders they were meant to be—even when the odds were stacked against them. For instance, Chié Dambara, a BRCA survivor, who at the age of 24 had a double mastectomy, harnessed resilience and determination to become the founder of Yoko Matcha.
These women show not only great leadership, but also aim to make a difference in the world. Michelle Abbs, the Director of Mana Tech Miami, who grew up in Michigan seeing the divides between the urban and suburban neighborhoods, now works to make a difference by inspiring more leaders. Fatinah Hayat, the founder of The Hayat in London, after realizing she was working for a denim brand that used several gallons of water to produce one pair of jeans, quit, and founded her own ethical fashion brand.
This personal aspirational guide is the ideal gift for ambitious thinkers and doers.

We all need that encouraging friend to remind us that we are ready and can conquer anything we want. I love the encouraging words displayed throughout the book and everyone will find one that will get their motivation and determination back on track. During these difficult times of COVID-19 books like these are essential to give us hope and continue to strive for greatness even though there is a huge bump in the road. Women stick together and are very supportive of one another through women empowerment and this book just magnifies that to the infinite degree.
We will consider adding this title to our Self Help collection at our library. That is why we give this book 5 stars.
Such a lovely book. First, the design and overall feel are lovely. Just a pleasure to look at and read. I love that each woman’s feature was short, yet effective - and then included a quote page. Although I did not know any of these women, they are all hugely successful in their respective fields. And yet, the book felt very intimate - like girlfriends speaking words of love and affirmation to me. The vignettes were encouraging and inspiring without being preachy. And the topics of leadership, purpose, self-care, happiness, and creativity seem to hit all the important notes. Bravo.
How frustrating is it to be told by all the different sources the things you must do to be successful in life? This book definitely does NOT do that. It instead takes an empathetic approach and gives bite size approaches and allows you to have kindness and patience with yourself when dealing with life. This is so necessary for everyone to read in life. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
Stunning. This book showcases a vast number of powerful and inspirational women, entrepreneurs, artists, designers, CEOs, just to name a few. Highlighting certain traits such as courage and creativity, with a blurb about each woman and then a direct quote from each, relating to their given trait.
Visually stunning, the artwork and colours are amazing. I think this book would be greatly enjoyed in print form especially.

Beautiful book I just read. Love the quotes and colors and sparkles! I would buy this to have for myself and also give to friends in my empowerment groups.
Thanks to NetGalley for providing me a copy for the purpose of this review.
With all the glowing reviews I somehow expected more. It starts off great, but with some weird areas that are in bold, when it seemed like other sentences would have been better off being highlighted. In each section, there is a page with a quote from a business woman & then on the other page a bit of info about the business woman & why she said what she did. The images are very girly, the pages don't actually sparkle (some reviews made it out like they did).
As a micro business owner (I run my own eco farm), this really should have hit home with me. Some of it was nice to read, but I had trouble relating to more of it than I would have expected. Maybe it's because the business women are so completely opposite my own life. I know in one spot about dressing the part. It just didn't apply to me at all. As if I'm going to wear a power outfit or a happy outfit or whatever when I'm going to be out on my farm getting dirty, damaging my clothes, getting sunburn, getting bug bit, etc. When I go to work, I wear what is comfortable & I don't care if it's threadbare. I am not ruining good clothes to do back breaking labor.
It also seems like most of the business women are in Florida. More diversity would have been great. Both in location & in the type of business each woman runs. The book feels more like a very tight circle of business women rather than encompassing woman business owners as a whole.
I rated it at 4 stars because it does have good take away points & we all do need a little kick in the pants or hug every now & again. I expect many women who's businesses & lifestyles are more similar to the women in this book will enjoy it more & get more out of it than me.
