Lauren Sullivan has the perfect life: Best Selling Novelist, Successful Investor Boyfriend, and a Fabulous Life in NYC. It all comes crashing down in true dramatic fashion, but she finds she is not really that upset about it. That is, until she realizes why her boyfriend kicked her to the curb.
After her ex-boyfriend's choices come back to haunt her, she now fears for her life. Lauren’s Editorial, Publicity, and Publishing companies hire her a bodyguard at the strong suggestion of her publisher/best friend, Elizabeth. Of course, it is none other than the publisher's smoking hot older brother, Bradly. However, Lauren’s childhood friend, Devon, is not so sure that the so-called bodyguard is up to the job and a silent pissing contest begins for her attention.
So soon after the revelation to the end of her four-year relationship, she far from looking for love, but with two handsome men chasing her, anything can happen.
But one question still remains... Can they keep her safe?
Like most people, I hate talking about myself, but here we go...
Woman, Daughter, Sister, Wife, Mother, Friend, Musician, Photographer, Graphic Designer; so many titles we all carry through live, so why not add one more: Author!
I grew up in a creative family with Music and Art all around. It has only been since finishing my bachelor degree that I really started reading myself, but when I finally dug in and found books that grabbed my attention.
Most friends and family were surprised when I told them I had started writing my first book, it didn't surprise me. I have always had an active imagination. I was simply getting it on paper.
My hope you enjoy my first release and there is more to come. Looking forward to the stories and worlds I have and will soon create.
So, this is totally a bias review since I wrote the book and I know what you are in for. :) Don't go gentle on me. This is my first full length novel, so I know I have tons of room for improvement. I am in love with the trilogy story line and excited to see what everyone else thinks of what will hopefully one day be called my "early work".
The story hooked me in. The author owned up to a mistake with the editing file, and is working to correct it. I actually would have liked more sex. I don't think it was bordering on pornographic at all. There were two sex scenes. I read romance novels where they have sex every five or so pages. Overall, I enjoyed reading it.
