Perfect for fans of Pretty Little Liars and One of Us Is Lying
Ever since her sister died, Lennox McRae has been addicted to revenge.
After her family is ripped apart by her sister’s death, Lennox and her mother move to Everson Falls for a fresh start. Once she crosses paths with the popular clique, a group of perfect girls in pink, her mission is clear. She must destroy them. As far as Lennox is concerned, girls like them ruin people. Girls like them ruined her sister. Lennox is determined to bring them down and serve them their just desserts. To do that, she pretends to want to be one of them. Unfortunately for Lennox, these girls are far more dangerous than she ever imagined.
Becoming a part of the in-crowd was easy. Getting out will be impossible.
Previously published as Piranhas in Pink, P is for Perfect is a dark, twisty psychological thriller about social hierarchy, fitting in, and revenge. This is the first book of an addictive new series. Scroll up and grab your copy today.
When I purchased this book, it was this cover above and called Piranhas in Pink. When I went to add it to Goodreads as read, I noticed they had changed the title and covers. It is now called P is for Perfect and has a different cover. I have to admit I am sharing this one as this is what drew me to the book and I love the title more. Reading this book, also reminded me of the series Pretty Little Liars which I noticed yesterday that the author had added to her blurb that if you love Pretty Little Liars, you will love this book which is so true. Our book starts with Lennox moving to a new town after her parents divorced and her sister Piper died. We learn that Piper had Asperger’s and died due to bullying. Lennox is angry and wants revenge and joins a revenge forum. At her new school, she sought out the popular girls - the ones who were like the bullies who made her sister die. She aims to bring them down and destroy them. What she never counted on though was during the initiation trials, finding herself exactly like them. Now she is on the inside, can she bring them down without incriminating herself? I enjoyed this book and I now can't wait to read Book #2. Piranhas in Pink or P is for Perfect as it is called now, is a YA psychological thriller that everyone this generation should add to their reading lists for 2021 if you haven't already.
I chose to read this book and I did not expect if to be so much like Mean Girls gone rogue. I couldn’t put it down once I started, I just had to keep going to see what the girls were going to do next. The Pips or Perfection in Pink group is a group of popular girls that are running the school and will do favors for others as long as you do something for them in return when they ask. There are so many secrets within the group and all the people they have helped. The story definitely kept me on the edge of my seat to see what would happen next. Lennox was new to the school and wanted to get into the popular group so that she could ruin them from the inside out, but she was sucked into their web too. Scary group of girls that will do anything to get what they want. Great story, but as a YA story it was a little scary. I received an ARC and I voluntarily reviewed this book.
Loved the way the story was told read it in a few hours hard to put down. Can't wait for book 2 amazing storytelling and always twists and turn when u least expect it. Great book well worth the read.
After reading this book, I wanted to write and post this review to share my honest experiences toward the story.
If I had to summarize this story in two words, they would be ‘absolutely amazing!’ This gripping thriller kept me hooked on the story from start to finish, and I devoured this story in a single day. It really gets you thinking about the implications of social hierarchy, and the things that people will do just to be part of the ‘cool’ group, and also about revenge. It started out innocent at first, but things started getting darker and more exciting as the pages turned. I am definitely looking forward to seeing how this series continues. Note, there are some triggers in the story, including a murder and some strong language.
Oh wow! Just finished this book and I am itching for the next one. The story unravelled beautifully! You were given just enough information to feed your curiosity but not enough to give everything away. The perfect middle between typical mean girls and pretty little liars. I definitely didnt expect this book to go the way it did. I literally read this in one half a day. It was fantastic and I couldnt put it down. I cant tell if I like Lennox or not. I cant tell if shes good or bad. I am just really unsure about her and anxious to know how her revenge plays out. I would definitely recommend this book!
I picked this up because of the blurb, and I dove right in and devoured the book in one sitting. Lennox has a dark side, she also has a plan, and she's pretty sure she's in the right for what she does. Of course it means aligning herself with the PIPs and doing what they command. The story pulls you in from the first word, you end up cheering for Lennox even as things start to go seriously wrong. I adored the easy-going attitude with which Lennox writers, even when dealing with serious subjects. Overall, I was desperate to know what happened, and loved the twist at the end. I will be reading the second one ASAP. Highly recommended!
I could not put this book down! It was fast-paced with a great story plot. Lennox does some pretty horrible things, yet I can’t feel too bad for her because the other members of the PIPs are even worse! At least Lennox has a reason and appears to have feelings, unlike her “friends”. I can’t wait to read the next book!!
Thank you to the author for a free copy in exchange for an honest review.
Piranhas in Pink is like Mean Girls meet Pretty Little Liars . . . and I loved every word! I read this in one sitting, it was that good! Lennox is the new girl and zeroes in on the "perfect girls", because we all know the perfect girls are never perfect. Lennox has her reasons for targeting them and you really can't blame her. I can't wait for the second book to see what happens with the PIPs!
The book was ok. Lots of thinking and mulling and wondering. Lots of, "I will destroy them from the inside". No actual revenge. I think Phoebe is my favorite character.
