The Fallen

Rate this book
The Fallen were angels that were cast out of heaven for disobeying THE ALMIGHTY ONE and choosing to follow Lucius. They were cast down to earth where they mated with human women. What happened to them? What happened to their children? What if after being cast down to earth many changed their minds and wanted to reconcile with THE ALMIGHTY ONE? What if their children did?

My name is Kara Ravencloud. I am a Nephilim, a daughter of the Fallen, which is what I only recently discoered on my quest. I don't think my parents even know this. I've uncovered things I'm sure the council does not want me to tell the others back home. If I ever get away from this psychotic doctor, Agnes Fumblestock, I'm definitely going to discuss this with my friend, Anna and my folks. They'll know what to do. There are so many like me in the world. Not all of us choose to follow the one called Lucius. Many of us, like me, are seeking ways to reconcile our people to THE ALMIGHTY ONE. Join me as we fight for our freedom to follow THE ALMIGHTY ONE.

I am no longer an author. Thank you for your support and understanding.

Since I've been old enough to read, I've been devouring books. Besides writing, I also enjoy drawing, painting, scrap-booking, photography and cooking. I am a very creative person.

I am a big geek for movies and books about ancient artifacts, from the Davinci code to Indiana Jones- This book had that vibe, along with dashes of James Bond style action. Pretty sure the author needs to change the genre of the book, cause it reads like a mystery and I love those. Loved the clips about minor characters turning into bigger ones in the plot- SPOILER ALERT: cant wait to see why the scientists are operating and experimenting on them, and who their twisted big bad leader is. I also really loved that the artifact was in a secret den like the davinici code and the nod to scooby doo, with constant splitting up and a dog ;)Overall Kara is a decent hearted kid and leader, much like her Dad. And I like the message that Jesus died for ALL of us. My only cringe worthy moment was when the author wrote her own book in a scene- that threw me off cause it had a "Good Omen" Neil Gaiman narrator vibe. I also need to know what happens to Officer St. Paul- is he an undercover brother for God? Also, Lillith as a concerned mom of a moody teenager was genius!! Only downside of this book is I gotta wait for the next one to come out.

This book is about discovering faith where none existed prior in God and His only begotten son, Jesus Christ. It tells the stories of the Fallen from Heaven and how they took human women as wives and had children with them known as Nephilim. The author puts a spin of fiction on it. Kara and some others were tasked with quests from Lucius. They are caught by doctors and put in a psych ward in a hospital and then disappear. The doctor in charge has a huge secret she keeps from others that Kara discovers. As they escape, they unknowingly come into contact with a church, the couple that live and practice faith and religion there, and eventually God. The relationship and truth they will discover speaks to the reader about forgiveness once you discover Jesus and God and accept Jesus as your Savior. What will happen once they start sharing what they learn in Lucius’s world? Will and can they stand against the non-believers? The other Fallen? This book ends in a cliffhanger~ I received this as an ARC and am leaving a voluntary review.

This is the second book in the series and it was amazing to read as the first one was.
I want spoil it, but have to say, Pam Funke really has an amazing mind to create such a book, as a Christian she is.
Putting God first with the fallen angles and putting them in the right place where they belong, as they follow Lucifer.
Hmm, but now i have to wait to get the conclusion of what has started in book 1. with Kara the most loving person and a great leader.
This book is not only for Christian, it's a book like Davinci Code and Indiana Jones together. Yes i agree to that.
The characters are well. so it's very enjoyable to read.

I received a arc from the author for a honest review.
This book really had its moments of great to good. As it being a Arc there was some spelling and punctuation issues but all and all I thoroughly enjoyed the story line to this book. The characters were strong and the good verses evil plot to the book has you wanting to know more. It has a religious theme and a lot of background to what happens when the Fallen are made to remember what happened. For some I hope to see redemption and others will never see the light but I do recommend this book and I want to see the ending.

Wow! Wasn't expecting this!

When set on her quest, Kara didn't know there would people someone hunting them down. She ends up wounded and taken to human hospital. After The Drs. Get her fixed they try to help hide this beautiful angel. After being stolen and tested on. Kara knew she had to try and escape. This but is so riveting. Fallen Angels, action. Devoted pastor who obviously has a in with the Almighty one! Want more of this series! Way to go Pam!!! Amazing

I thought this book was better than her first, even though she still doesn't let the reader know she is going into another's head. Also the book ends like a cliffhanger and should be a sequel instead. I gave it four stars because it was interesting.

I am having a blast writing this series. It started out as a dare by my daughter, but I soon got caught up in the story. Kara Ravencloud is such a great character. She is a heroine that is humble yet mischievous. Her coming of age role is an unique one. All her life she thought she was a regular human girl, that is until a pair of beautiful black and silver wings grow out of her back. She freaks out as any normal teenager would. She found out from her parents that she was a Nephilim. Her father shows her his beautiful wings that she had never seen before. Now, she is on a quest given to her by The Elders. She also is on her on quest. She wants to know who the Almighty One is. Her heart is drawing her closer and closer to finding out the truth. What will she find out on her quest in the second installment? Well, that's for you to discover. Enjoy!
