Jason carries a heavy burden. His mother is responsible for opening a portal to a dark dimension, shattering our reality and unleashing a terrifying evil upon the world. There is a way to close the portal, only it is dangerous. Deadly dangerous.

In a desperate attempt to redeem himself, Jason embarks on a quest with his friends to close the portal and send this evil back to where it belongs.

Will they be victorious? Will they survive to tell the story?

This book is a rerelease that was previously published as The Hell Gate series under the Pseudonym Josh Matthews I feel they are very well written books even though they are categorized as young adult I felt they were written on a level that even as an adult I found very compelling I highly anticipate the rerelease of the other two original books in the series as well as a brand new 4th book due out

An extraordinary story into science fiction, fantasy and horror combined.

Extraordinary story of the end of the world. A Young man must make an attempt to save the world. His mother is responsible at least in part for ripping our world apart. Hell has opened it’s doors and earth is under siege. Can the humans survive? Read on and find out.
Can man’s arrogance destroy our world? The answer is a definite maybe. Just because we figure out how to do some things. Does not mean that we should do them. Opening Pandora’s box did not work out for Pandora.

Surprisingly awesome!

I must begin by saying I only read this book to get the scavenger hunt answer. I love sci-fi, post apocalyptic, and so on but I wouldn't have chosen this book.

I am so very glad I did! It was surprisingly AWESOME! I really enjoyed it. I love the characters and the plot and the everything! I REALLY appreciated the lack of foul language and despicable scenes!

I would absolutely recommend this book for anyone 13ish. There are monsters and demons and such so some parental guidance is recommend.

I will definitely continue this series!

A different tale of the apocalypse, isn’t science wonderful? I enjoyed the continuous action and suspense. Something different taking place in Europe and traveling through France. The characters are varied and strong. There are unexpected directions. Always wondering who’s going to live or die. The emotions are strongly expressed. There is one mystery that wasn’t revealed and I hope it will be in a later book. Now on to Moscow.

I'm usually not a fan of YA books but the cover for this book was well made and got me to read it. The MC is a young adult who must save the world despite his mother being partially responsible. It's not my normal type of read but Scott can tell a heck of a story. I will be reading book 2.

This book was very difficult to put down. I found this book to be action packed and full of suspense that I was excited to turn the pages to find out what happened next. If you like zombie style apocalyptic storytelling then I recommend this book.

Shattered World 1 is action-packed, has great characters and is very creatively written. I found it entertaining as well as edge of my seat tense. I highly recommend it.
