Five stars for Alex Drake!



Another great book in the Alex Drake series! Alex and Madison have returned and this time we find out more about the man of mystery. Alex has a background that we don’t know much about from the previous books, but in this book we find out more about his past.

The story uses flashbacks to show how Alex, Paco and Madison’s brother Jack we’re put together as a covert team. The story also goes into how Alex learned to be so good in bed and how much of a player he was prior to meeting Madison.

We know from the previous two books that Madison was still mourning the loss of her Brother and still wants to clear his name and prove he was in military service when he died. We also know that Jack was overseas on a mission with Alex and Paco when it happened and that is the reason, they had been searching for Madison in the first book.



This book has answers but it also contains a lot of intrigue and suspense. Alex, Madison and Paco have to work with some shady CIA agents in order to find out the truth. One of which is someone Alex previously slept with. I really enjoyed the plot and the intrigue as much as the romance between Alex and Madison.

Though the romance and intimacy between Alex and Madison is extremely hot and steamy. I give it a five out of five flames 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 for heat and passion! The two of them are engaged and can’t get enough of each other. This book has all the things I really love in a book. It has a spicy romance, a killer story and great characters. In addition to Paco, Alex’s chief competitor and good friend Mark and his wife Jess make appearances.

This is the continuing of Madison and Alex's story,but it is so much more!!! If you've read the first two books in this series Access and Exposed you know that besides Alex and Madison their is many other important players in this story from alex's right hand man the sexy Latin hunk Paco who has a big part in the story. We find out more about his and Mark's relationship and how the whole team was brought together for their secret mission And we are also introduced to the very powerful and sexy Jordan stone!!! She is a fabulous character and I was even turned on by her!!! I love a strong,smart take charge kind of woman and this chic's got some big lady balls that you can't help falling for her,but you'd better have your shit together,she hits the ground running and she was the woman who showed Alex how to be the master of sexuality and how to give and receive pleasure and she was a very good teacher!!! I don't want to give away too much,but I will guarantee this book will keep you interested from beginning to end. Their is fabulous sex scenes that are so steamy they will have reaching for...... Uh never mind,sorry I will keep that thought to myself😉 The storyline and storytelling is outstanding! Theirs mystery,suspense and steam!! In the next instalment of the Alex Drake saga, not only do we catch up with the loved up couple, we finally gain insight and answers that we've been waiting for. If you are a fan of office romances filled with passion, intrigue and suspense, start from the beginning with Access and Exposed.

You have to love you some Alex Drake or AJ in the beginning before Madison and after Jordan Stone the ex lover who turned AJ to Alex and the best womanizer and lover ever. Now Jordan has returned and have her eyes set on Madison and has the leverage to help convince her to come over to her dark side...Madison brother Jack Taylor information on his time in the service. What will Madison do? Will Alex do what it takes to protect his fiancee the woman he wants to marry or also fall back into Jordan's trap the woman who lured him to the man he is today.

Lets not forget Paco guys his flare & daring lifestyle and how exactly Jack & Paco met is in this book. Mystery after mystery unfolds and is created. Love how Lexxi James spin the web of drawing you in deeper and never wanting these characters to leave.

There are awesome steamy scenes Alex Drake style that keep your toes curled and the page turning.

Explosive! One of the first words that pops into my mind while writing this review! Edge of my seat suspense. Anxiety for the unknown (Jordan Stone). Smoldering desire between Alex and Madison which leapt off the pages. So, much happens here I am finding it difficult not to reveal to much.

Excellently written storyline. Alex and Madison were created with love and much preparation. I can feel the authors care and craft clearly. Secondary character (which to me are important) were magnificent.

Looking for hot? Looking for depth? Looking for suspense? Grab this series!

Once again Lexxi has delivered a quality read that will draw you! The suspense just about killed me, and I was hooked. The attention to detail was incredible and she left nothing out.

Madison and Alex, the intense attraction between them seems to have gotten hotter. The answers I got only wet my appetite, sure we got some closer but I feel more is coming for this pair. And not just them Paco also.

The secondary characters and the direction that the story went was intriguing, the secretive lifestyle they live has you wanting more.

The arrival of Jordan Stone, um wow! That scene I'm still thinking about it was explicitly hot and erotic. Lexxi is right up there in this case. She knows how to set a scene perfectly and that was intense.

I can't wait to see where she's going with this and what's to come. This Jordan character has a story one that I am intrigued with.

Perfectly Written!!

I love Lexxi James books 1 & 2 in this series. Book 3 starts immediately with action and suspense.
Madison and Alex are engaged and madly in love.
They still have unanswered questions regarding her brother Jacks mysterious death while serving in the military z .
The author did an excellent job writing it!
Besides Alex and Madison, there are other interesting characters in this storyline, and the narrative and attention to details are great. Lots of unanswered questions and vindication!

I have been a fan of Lexxi’s since I first read Access last year!

Burned is book 3 in the Alex Drake series, and I think it’s my favorite!!! I love the suspense that Lexxi has throughout her story, yet there is still plenty of steamy scenes.

When I started this series, I had no idea how complete of a man Alex Drake would turn out to be. In Burned it showed a lot of what shaped him and I loved every minute of it!

I don’t want to give spoilers... so I’ll just end it with 5 amazing bright stars!! I can’t wait for more!

Il mistero si infittisce in questo terzo volume della serie, nel quale la passione e gli intrighi vi terranno incollati alle pagine. Tanti gli avvenimenti che vi faranno trattenere il respiro e pensare di essere finalmente arrivati ad una soluzione.
Ma non sarà così.
Affatto.

L’autrice con astuzia e maestria ci conduce ad una nuova fase della serie, che avrà un’evoluzione imprevista. Si perché i colpi di scena e la suspence disegnano un quadro inquietante e macchinoso che proprio non avevo preso in considerazione.

Il romanzo ha anche un lato sexy con scene sensuali e bollenti degni di Alex Drake, il milionario genio delle telecomunicazioni a livello mondiale e sfrontato CEO che trasuda ricchezza e potere in ogni ambito della sua vita.
Un office romance che consiglio

This book had so many elements in it. It was heart felt, hot with a little action in it. To finally get the answers about Madison's brother, and Madison herself come Into herself. She definitely became my shero. She knows her weaknesses and is willing to learn to become better. She loves Adam for who he is not for what he can do for her. And she doesn't hold his past against him. I love that type of woman. I was very satisfied with this series and would definitely read more of this author. I still would a book about Paco .

Can this strongly determined manage to discover the secrets surrounding Jack Taylor’s death? Including the fact that a past, very seductive vixen woman is intertwined with Alex. Madison can see how impressive Jordan Stone is, but trusting her may not be easy. The “mission” is to gain some details from the secret military job Jack was given and it will take Alex and Madison working closely with Ms. Stone to pull it off. Will the group succeed? Third book in the series and continues book 1 and 2 with Alex and Madison now engaged. Burned is steaming hot without a doubt, but now Madison is trying to find out what really happened to her brother Jack. We get to understand more about Alex and his background as well as meet Jordon Stone. There's a lot of going back and forth in Burned which makes it a little difficult at times to follow but still a good read.

Burned e il terzo libro della serie "Alex Drake", il fidanzamento tra Madison e Alex ha fatto scalpore, tutti non fanno che sparlare sulla stagista che ha accalappiato il miliardario e Madison inizia a pensare che forse sarebbe meglio lasciare il lavoro alla DGI. Nel frattempo lei, Alex e Paco saranno impegnati nelle indagini che coinvolgono il fratello Jack e la missione in cui ha perso la vita, il loro obiettivo è scoprire chi l'ha tradito e riabilitare il suo nome.

La comparsa di alcune figure provenienti dal loro passato non faranno altro che stuzzicare la loro curiosità e portarli a essere ancora più determinati a scoprire la verità, Alex e Madison sono sempre più uniti che mai, Alex farà di tutto per rendere felice Madison, anche accettare che lasci il lavoro, la sua felicità è la sua priorità così come quella di mantenerla sempre al sicuro.

«E tu, Madison, sei l’amore che non avrei mai pensato potesse nascere. La felicità che non avrei mai immaginato, o nemmeno pensato di meritare.»

Madison è un personaggio che acquista sempre più potere, è consapevole di ciò che vuole ma soprattutto del legame che la lega ad Alex, nessuno riuscirà a mettersi tra di loro. Alex si conferma essere un compagno leale per Madison, sempre pronto a sostenerla.

Finalmente si saprà di più su Paco e la sua relazione con Jack, come i tre amici si sono conosciuti e cosa li ha portati a collaborare insieme, ma non tutte le domande avranno una risposta, e bisognerà aspettare il prossimo libro per saperne di più.

Conosceremo un po' di più sul passato di Alex, quando ancora era un ragazzo che non possedeva nulla se non la sua mente geniale, quello che aveva voglia di cambiare la sua vita e che poi è diventato l'uomo ricco, dominante, sexy e potente che è oggi.

Le scene spicy sono veramente bollenti, tra Madison e Alex la chimica è sempre più esplosiva, purtroppo la narrazione in seconda persona continua a creare un po' di confusione, e i troppi pov fanno perdere il legame che si cerca di instaurare coi protagonisti, anche dover aspettare l'uscita non è servito ad entrare in empatia con la storia, ho fatto un po' di fatica all'inizio e sono dovuta andare a rileggere qualcosa sui precedenti libri per ricordare alcuni fatti accaduti e, proprio per questi motivi, non riesco ancora a dare un giudizio positivo.

An exciting storyline and very suspenseful.
Alex and Madison’s passion for each other gets stronger. A little of Alex’s past is revealed.

Wonderful writing. Alex and Madison are well developed characters and make a great couple. The secondary characters are also well thought out and make great additions to the story.

I love this book and this series. The story is intriguing and the suspense intense.
I highly recommend this excellent book!

I hope everyone can see that Burned is part of The Alex Drake Series, so they understand it's not the book you start the series with. It may sound like I'm judging, and I am for real, because I've actually seen reviews from readers who start in the middle of a series, then give the book a bad rating because they don't know what the hell is going on. I mean C'MON MAN! So my point is, Burned is Book 3 so YOU MUST READ Access (Book 1) and EXPOSED (Book 2) FIRST AND EVEN IN ORDER WOULD BE THE BEST. Okay, I can get off my soapbox now, even though I'm not sure what to say about all this goodness which makes up Burned without giving something away accidentally. I will talk about the rage I felt after what I've already experienced with Madison & Alex trying to be together, and Ms. James has smacked me with more chaos now! It's a blast from Alex's past, and I couldn't be anymore enraged if I went out of my way to be. Yeah, it makes for amped up angst (not sure that's better in my head), not to mention the drama following, or even those f-bomb worthy twists but most importantly, answers to questions I already had about Alex at the end of the day! All I know or all I can tell you is be ready for extreme emotions as Lexxi James certainly can pull them out in spades to the least sensitive soul like me! In conclusion, I wouldn't change a thing because it does hurt so good! HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

So before I start this review, I'd highly encourage you to read the first two books in this series.It's important to figure out the characters and see how Alex and Madison fall in love.
In this book we find out more on Alex and how he went from AJ to Alex. Who Jordan Stone is and what power does she hold? She is very persuasive and knows how to use to sex to get what she wants. Madison,mostly but Alex is still there is her target. There's some closeness between Madison and Jordan to rile Alex up. We also find out more about what happened to Jack and what secrets he was holding. The secrets were revealed and games were played just to keep honor. Despite the pettiness, jealousy and smack talk of the girls in the office, Alex and Madison are still going strong. Madison also realizes her worth and how she is worthy of being spoiled. She is strong determined woman, who knows what she wants and goes out to get it. She challenges Alex every step in this book but at the same time she still has a heart. There's a whole lot of love in this book and a great way to wrap this book!

The 3rd book is just WOW! The perfect sequel to the love story between Alex and Madison. We see in the story that the writer has military background.
Love between Alex and Madison is stronger more and more everyday although old flame from the past appears.
The 3rd book is packed with action and dangerous situations. Madison is trying to prove her brother's innocence with Jordan's help and she succeeds. We also find out how A. J. become Alex. In the end everything comes into it's place.
O, and the sex scenes are 🔥🔥🔥.

Reasons I enjoyed this book:
Action-packed, great world building, happily ever after, page-turner, romantic, steamy, wonderful characters.

I enjoyed this series and these wonderful characters. However, they fell short in this book. I cannot quite put my feeling on what it was but I just didn't connect to this part as much.

Talk about heat!! I'm the third installment of this series, a lot of our questions about Alex's past are answered, but there's also a lot of intense scenes, mystery, and finally closure for Madison, her dad and Paco!!I
I absolutely loved this book!! My only problem is I want more!!
