The Elves and Demons have been at war for ages, though it appears that the Demons with their dark magic are slowly beating (and eating) the Elves with their light magic. Humans are around but they’re magic-less so don’t really count. The one hope for the Elves, and really the Demons and Humans, is the Eldritch Lord of prophesy, but everyone knows he’s not much more than fairytale in reality. Along comes our lad, farm-boy Marc who is lured into bed by Elf lass Airalith. Pretty yummy for him, except that it turns out there’s a “Code of Galrea” that prescribes death to all that do such thing, and a super-scary and super-strong Elf named Gavin, who is eager to administer that punishment. The chase is on with adventure and thrills, and a slowly growing harem - going on three races by book’s end for poor Marc, who becomes quite the fighter, and much more, along the way. This is a great start, sadly with a cliffhanger of an ending as now I’m painfully waiting for Book 2. Notwithstanding the title, we don’t actually learn if the Eldritch Lord actually exists. My guess is “yes” and I even have a strong guess who. I certainly hope I find out in the next book. In the meantime, so long as you’re ok with a man’s wet dream fantasy of one lucky guy getting a sexy harem (only fair these days considering that reverse harem tales seem to be the latest rage), this one is highly recommended.

Our hero is just a simple farmer who gets seduced by an elf maid and winds up in lots of trouble. From there, he picks up new companions and some magical might which just might get him through his troubles.
This is book one of a new series in a fantasy setting and a harem.
The story is well written and we have an interesting cast of characters. We get a bit of character development here, enough to carry the story, but I am definitely looking forward to learning a bit more in future books. Same thing with the setting. What we get here is intriguing and I am looking forward to more. As might be expected in this type of story, our hero doesn't really know what he is doing, but he is learning and supported by (currently) three lovely ladies who offer his steamy encounters. This book does end on a bit of a cliffhanger, so keep that in mind. Overall, a nice start to a series and I am looking forward to reading more.
Highly recommended.

This story has a bit of a Princess Bride feel to it. The princess, Airalith, just happens to be an elf who believes the only way to save the elvish population is to cross-breed with humans which happens to be strictly against the Code of Galrea and punishable by death. Marc, our farm boy, gets lost in the Barrens and stumbles upon Airalith while looking for a place to shelter for the night. Airalith seduces him, even if he did seem pretty willing, he is just a farm boy after all. This is probably where you should stop reading to you toddler. The two of them are caught in bed the next morning by elvish soldiers who knew of Airalith's plan and mean to stop her and enforce the code.
If you're looking for a harem story with pretty girls, elves, magic, soldiers, demons and monsters and all the action those things promise, this will do. It's well-written with complex characters and a good story line. And Marc is just getting started on his harem.
Note: This story ends in a cliff-hanger and a second book is apparently in the works. I am looking forward to the next installment.

I received a free ARC of this novel via Hidden Gems in exchange for a review. My opinion is my own.
This is the first book in an installment kind of series. It really could be written as one long book but its split into five short novellas. I want to like this book because it has decent potential. The plot is not bad but could really use some fleshing out as far as the story and character development. What turns me off is the sex scenes. Now I am a huge fan of harem fiction. I love fantasy so this should be a match made in heaven but no virgin farmboy is a sex god right off the bat. The females are WAY to eager and err unbelievably responsive. I'll probably read the second book to see if it gets any better but I am not holding my breath on it.
Books with a lot of sex don't bother me. This is just so badly written. The sad thing is that the general idea was a good one but the execution is like it is being written for teenage boys by another, more well read, teenage boy.
The world that is brought to life in this story is both unique and brutal. The characters change and grow through the book. It’s just a great book and I can’t wait for the next one.
So far, so good! Book 1 has been a very enjoyable and entertaining read. Though a bit predictable the actual story path is surprising in its detail. I can’t wait to continue with Book 2 and definitely recommend this starting book of the series.
Not a lot of reviews yet for this author. This book deserves a look. It's not too long. It's tempo is good. Either the plot or character relationships are constantly progressing.
Was looking for a change of pace but instead found what seemed to be the rough outline of a plot...unlikable MC, patchy action, strained credulity. Will skip book two.
