I was in a dark place a little while ago. A very bad place that you might recognise.
My life was literally wall-to-wall disappointment and worry. I had been emotionally hurt, could not shake off the negativity - and I found I was making decisions out of fear, because I had little or no confidence.
Then, something very special happened, late one Thursday evening in January last year.
God spoke to me. "I have the solution", he said.
"Surrender. And let ME take control".
It was so simple, that for the first few days, I struggled with it.
Then, suddenly it became crystal clear to me. Surrendering to God helped me free myself from the worries of the past, and the fears of the future.
It was the best decision I have ever made in my life.

BEAUTIFULLY WRITTEN INSPIRATIONAL WRITING
I am so glad I found this in suggested readings for me. Even though I've heard or been told a few of these words of wisdom, when you're in those trenches of betrayal, hurt and uncertainty another human being has caused to upend your life it is so hard to be told to forgive and let go. But there is so much truth to the importance of doing just that, as God will absolutely give you more blessings than imaginable in your new chapter. This author speaks to this and more in the most wonderful way, words of wisdom that are so down to earth but yet so powerful. I would recommend this to anyone as we've all gone through something that would make this book relatable. Easy read, you will be blessed.

Perfect Things In Small Packages
This book is what I would love to have written myself. I have been living a life of surrender to God for about six months now and my life will never be the same. Thank the Lord for that. I try to live in His presence like Brother Lawrence, every minute of every hour of every day and night. I read the Bible and books like this every day. This book is small and so well written. It is so easy to read and so welcoming that though I read it free, I have purchased a copy for my daughter. It will speak to her in a way no one has spoken to her and I believe it will help her turn back and surrender to our God. A blessing in a small package.

quick and hopeful read
What a delightful little book, full of goodness! The author uses several stories and examples to illustrate the absurdity of holding onto negative attitudes and situations, and the freedom gained by letting them go. Many examples of men and women who chose to or chose not to let go and surrender, each with their own outcome. Quite an inspiring book and easy to finish, this book will enlighten dark corners and lighten the load of resentment and bitterness. All will benefit from reading the short and sunny book. Enjoy!

Surrender!
I enjoyed reading "The Power of Surrender: Let God take control." I was able to finish it in one day. Throughout the time of reading it, I had to take notes. This small book contained many confirmations concerning my life. I kept telling myself how much I would love to share what I learned from reading "The Power of Surrender:..." This book was filled with encouraging statements and revelations. After reading this book, I will try harder to "feel the power of surrender and let God take control" of my life 🙏💕!

There is a way out of darkness
This book hit me at the right time. Being confused in my walk with God. Entangled in blazing emotions I could not see Jesus. Fear, anxiety and depression filled my mind reminding me of my past...Then I heard Jesus speak through this book to me and with surrendering and forgiving the sky cleared and I could see the light flowing in again. Amen and thank you.

Reverend j. Martin tells us how, when we surrender to God's will for our lives, we start seeing things turn around for us. Or when we turn away from bitterness and hurt in our circumstances, things begin going in our favor. Giving God control of what happens is the best way to handle our problems.

I was so blessed reading this book. I felt a lift in my spirit as I read the words of truth Rev J Martin wrote. I know my life will be changed as I put these words into practice! I will re-read again and again so this message will be in me, and I trust God as I surrender fully to Him, I will experience His abundant life! Thank God for the revelation He's given you!

A simple message with a huge impact
Rev Martin writes simply about such an important theme. The process of letting go and letting God was known to me but is not always easy. The message of trust and surrender will have a very positive effect if followed. Written from a Christian perspective with Biblical quotes on board it would benefit any reader, whether religious or not, to relinquish control and negative thoughts.

Refresh your faith
Very well written with perfect examples and analogies that help the reader apply the meaning to their own experience. Very inspiring even for those like myself who have followed Christ for a long time. Like opening a door in your mind you didn't realise you had closed!

Best book so far
I was down before I read this book. How amazing to know our God is always here to hear us out, restore our faith in Him and love us unconditionally. I feel so much better and have surrendered to God all my problems, and I believe God will renew my mind and assist me in everything that gives Glory to His Name. Thank you, Jesus Christ, Amen

Let Go's take Control
This was a good book to read, I reading every night before bed, it was part of my praying and meditation. It gave me better understanding of how God feels toward the ones he love. Give your life to God and he will t take care of you and your family. God bless

Simple words but very powerful message
Very simple put with great stories, my favorite one is the rosebud. I never had it put in such a beautiful story that I will remember when I get in Gods way of His plan, not my plan. Trust, forgive and love one another and be kind to everyone.

This should be REQUIRED READING
I love Rev Martin’s writing style and the anecdotes he uses to illustrate ideas. Very helpful little book- a quick read if you’re famished for truth. Good to journal with and develop ideas. I like how he connected anger, unforgiveness and surrender.

I listened to the audiobook version of this title a few times (it’s only 45 minutes long). There are a few different aspects of our struggle to be good people that he addresses here - not everything will be relevant to your current situation, but they are things that you will find useful and will return to in due course.

So much Wisdom!!
I highly recommend this book. It has helped me so much when worry, anxiety & fear come knocking & keep me up all night. I have read it so many times & it always works to banish my fears/anxiety/worries.
It is compact & delivers the message without the usual irritating repetitions i find in many book. Do yourself a favour & get a copy....

The Power of Surrender
I like this book because it helps on how to deal with many areas of my life. I would really recommend this book it someone was going through trying times. A death, divorce or forgiveness. It helped me and gave me a me prospective on how to deal with my marriage. Every one thinks I should leave my husband b but God says no. Now I know why.

One of the best Christian books I have read
Its not very often I a book that a Reverend wrote. This is very uplifting. Anyone and everyone should read this book. I feel closer to God. Now my next book to read or listen to is Power of letting go. Keep up the good work Reverend J. Martin.

Surrendering All
This book was short in length but powerful as a reminder of the Power of Surrendering to God. I was reminded of the song “I Surrender All.” I am recommitting to total and complete surrender in every area of my life. Daily surrender is my goal as I trust God’s plans and purpose for my life and for His Glory!

Awesome!
This book is a must read! It truly is power in surrendering. I walk away with most more clarity about surrounding. I feel relieved bc I followed the advice in the book. I let go and let God.

Practical
This book is very good. It as the title says. Let God take control. If you read your Bible this fits right in. In the Bible in many places it says to trust the Lord not humans or ourselves.

This is a very nice, brief book which shares insight and advice regarding common human tendencies, such as unforgiveness. It’s deeper than just positive thinking… forgiveness and surrender require tremendous strength.
