Artemis Fowl is twelve years old and he is a clever and dangerous criminal. He discovers that fairies have gold - a lot of gold - and he wants some of it. But these fairies are not the fairies you read about in children's books. They are not sweet and friendly. They have guns, and they are ready to fight.

The book is the perfect mix of a well-written police report and the witty adventure of a child genius, enjoyable from top to bottom.

I liked the old artemis fowl series but the character portrayal of old artemis fowl was straight up evil or morally ambiguous at most of the time. But this new artemis fowl is such a bore .

I have read plenty of books about child geniuses, but this book particularly stood out to me, not only because of the ciphers, it was just genuinely exciting as you see how the story progresses, it's a good read, and I really enjoyed it.

This book was recommended to me because of Harry Potter. I dont think I will ever read a book like this. The entire series was wonderful.

This is 100% worth reading. I say to read it without reading the blurb like I did and surprise yourself. I've grown to really like this series!
