It was an ok story . I wasn’t really connected with the characters and all . I wish it could have more actions even the last chapter wasn’t that exciting
I am not going to lie this book was okay but to me it seem like it was dragging okay what Veisha did to her son was messed up of her to give a son away as a down payment and then just leave like that. Then she waiting a whole year to come back just to try an pin a baby on Cameo that was really his brother baby wow now that is some sh*t. Now Myra at first she seem fishy I understand that she didn’t agree with what her father was doing but she was to happy to here that he was dead and then her going over to Veisha house to get her hook back on drugs just to get her out the way was messed up to me because at the end of the day Myra was not thinking about the kids all she was thinking about was herself it just seem like everybody was thinking about they self beside Cameo
This was most definitely a great story. The storyline was very different from the normal. I wasn’t ready for how things played out. It honestly didn’t go how I thought it would. I couldn’t stand Veisha. How she went about things throughout the entire book made me want to reach in the book and slap her several times. She was so conniving that it didn’t make any sense. She played plenty of people in this book. Cameo fell into her trap but I was glad he wasn’t too deep in it because although I believed Myra was up to something she definitely proved wrong. I was most definitely shocked by what was revealed at the end. I was not expecting that at all. I should have though when Veisha came back into the picture. Would definitely recommend this book.
***Spoiler info in this review** This book has so much going on. Cameo sure knows how to pick em. Veisha knows she’s a hot mess. What women gives her child up to a monster like Bunz then dips to leave whatever shall come to him and her man/baby dad. Then shows up a year later talking about I want my family back oh with a baby too. Then Mya who puts drugs in Veisha to make sure she’s no good to parent and an addict again because she’s scared to lose Cameo in case Veisha baby is his. Little does she know the biggest snake is his brother Twan who happened to be the darn daddy but to keep it from getting out kills her. Man he Cameo finds out all this stuff...smh.
Please tell me there's a part two. I need to know if Cameo finds out about the paternity test. Veisha is a cold hearted, selfish manipulative b✳✳✳✳. How do you make a lick but not only not break bread with yo man but bounce on him and yo child for a whole year. A child that she purposely put in harms way. While Cameo tries to keep his son safe with the help of Myra and his brother Twan. Myra had his back and it made me feel bad when he betrayed her but I guess she had the last laugh. Twan I'm on the fence about because I know he love his brother but I think he wants to keep the secret for his own reasons. Great , hope there's a part two coming.💘❤
First time reading from this author must say it had be glued to the book couldn’t put it down. I can’t believe Veisha would do all that and come back like nothing happen too bad her Karma caught up with her like that! Cam almost let Veisha ways pulled him from the woman who truly loved and had his back I’m glad Myra and Cam work out even doe I had doubts about her at first but she truly love Cam and Cj. Even doe Twan is his brother keeper he was still wrong but he got his own demons he facing hope he can overcome them but didn’t see that ending, I hope we get a spin off I would love to hear more about the characters overall good book.
Wow that ending got me, i was not expecting that plot twist with Twan and Veisha. I loved how Cameo did any and everything to get CJ back and always went hard for him. I couldn’t stand Veisha, she was the devil itself and very selfish but I loved her mother. Myra was a beautiful person that truly cared for Cameo and CJ, I just didn’t like what she did to Veisha to get back at her. I hate what happened to Nate but I didn’t understand why he lied about his upbringing and lifestyle. The was a great read overall, I would definitely recommend.
I first want to say I’m extremely mad that this is a stand-alone. How you just gone end this book like that. Ok rant over lol. This was an excellent read. I didn’t like Veisha just from the synopsis. She was a dirty ass woman. I don’t think she deserved to be killed. And cameo’s brother i knew something was up with him and Veisha when he brought his nephew home. I’m glad Myra turned out to be ok. At first i just knew she was setting cameo up for something. They are perfect together. I need more this book ended too fast
I love cameo he was such a great father CJ really looked up to him buns got what he deserved how can people really be on his team with all the corrupt stuff he was doing Myra was what Cameo needed even though sometimes I felt like she was sneaky betrayal is betrayal however Twan was wrong in the end I seen who side he really had and wasn't tryna lose his best friend and you could see the love he had for Cj veisha smh I had no words for her I could even understand her running away scares but all the extra she needed to pay attention on being a mother and leave the extra alone but great book

I couldn’t even imagine leaving one of my kids behind. I hate CJ was caught in the middle of his selfish mom’s mess. Myra did a good deed by returning CJ back to Cameo but I really don’t trust her. Now Twan, I’m having mix feelings about him now after that ending. Will have to wait until Part 2 to see if the saying is true....What’s done in the dark will come to the light!
This was a page turner..once u start reading this u won't be able to put it down..all the drama & lies..Cameo & Myra were good together til baby Momma drama popped up..I can't believe what Twan did..all this time he been a snake..I can't wait for pt2 cause tht ending was something else Please hurry wit pt2..if u want a good read this is one from start to finish!!..👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Even though, I enjoyed the book I didn't like the way it ended. This book was full of drama, lies, secrets and betrayal. Really liked Myra and Cameo together. I loved the relationship between Cameo and Twan, but Twan had a lot secrets of his own. That could've threatened that bond. Veisha, was something else and very selfish, that came back to be her demise. Overall, still a good read B. Richemond.
Not into this one an... Not into this one and I kept pushing but it was so forced it didn't make sense. He's supposed to be the "it" guy and I get keeping his circle small but with a little push back he was on the run. Veisha is running things and he's going for it like he's scared to step to her. After all the talk Myra is weak and just takes him back? I didn't like that she was making him choose between her and his child to begin with. This was such a drag down to read. 7/18/2019 9:21
Man Veisha was crazy as heck. How did she think she could pull what she did and come back with no problems. Cameo should've been smarter and not fell for the bait. Didn't see Twan doing that or being with her. Mara took the problem into her own hands to get rid of the old baggage. Kind of slow but still good.
This was definitely a page turner from beginning to end. So many things happened that I didn’t even see. Karma is definitely real and Veisha got everything that was coming to her. I was suspect of Myra is the beginning but I was rooting for her, I’m glad that she turned out to be a good person.
Secrets , lies and letting go , enjoyed from beginning to end , how can a mother leave her son for the love of a drug and to give him as collateral, venisha disappears to come back clean and right but at what costs and then to find out she is steam long lost love and the new babies father , can’t wait to see what happens next
Veisha left problems behind when she ran away. She brought more problems when she returned. Cameo tied up her loose ends, but that wasn’t enough for her. She wanted what she left behind, but Myra wasn’t having that. She worked too hard for her position, and she wasn’t going to let Veisha ruin it. That scenario at the end was a doozy. I didn’t see that coming.
Very good read enjoyed it from the first page until the end. Veisha was a very vindictive person, Twan was no good too to sleep with his brothers baby mama/ girlfriend. Myra deserved Cameo they made a nice couple theoigh all the deaths she stayed even her father death Author take a bow jib well done story well told.
This was a good story from start to finish. Veisha is a cold heated person who doesn’t care about anyone but herself not even her own child. Cameo better watch his back. He is a great father and good man. Myra is such a sweetheart and savior for what she did for Cameo and it could’ve cost her life.
What the He!!.. Why did Twan do that!?? Omg Veisha didn’t deserve that.. I mean she was dirty in her own way but after a while she had a conscious.. And Myra, smh I knew she was tired of it.. There should have been part two the way this book ended 🤷🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️
Wow I definitely didn't see that ending veisha need her behind beat she was the root of all cameo problem he deserved so much better than her twan was a piece of work lil Cj just melted my heart I wish there would have been a part 2 instead of a standalone
This was a pretty good read from start to finish! I was able to read all in one setting! The amount of betrayal in this book kept me wanting more and more! This author did an excellent job with the entire storyline! I look forward to reading more from this author.
Veisha is really trifling. Myra showed up at right time. Cameo is lucky to have her. Twan really had Cameo's best interest at heart. That ending was mind blowing and shocker about Veisha and Twan though. I really enjoyed reading this book.
Veisha was selfish, how can you leave your family in danger and come back thinking it was gonna work. Crazy! Poor Cj being put in the middle of craziness. Myra was just what Cameo needed and she made sure to mark her territory in the end. Twan wow.
Veisha was so wrong for what she did regarding the situation and her son! It be the ones close to you that hurt you the most. So glad that Cameo and Myra were able to find love in each other. Was a great read...keep up the great work!
This most definitely should have been a part 2. Myra shocked me. I knew she wasn’t meek but alright Myra. Veisha ugh you could tell she wasn’t wrapped to tight already. Team was the biggest shocker. This was a good read. Great job
Oh what a tangled web we weave, when we practice to deceive. Veisha was a snake and didn’t deserve to be happy. Twan really shocked me but sometimes love makes you do crazy things. Cameo and Myra deserved to be happy. Good read B. Richemond
It was a good read but the ending got me, I have so many unanswered questions for this if this was a stand-alone.. I hope there will be a another book or so linked to it to let us know what goes on with these characters.
