In this second volume of the “Prometheus Dystopian Trilogy” by D.F Wink (“Prometheus Falling”) we continue to follow Adama in his quest to unearth the truth about the seemingly perfect society he has been living in.

Adama, who has lost everything, down to his own humanity, is not the same kind doctor we first encounter in “Prometheus Rising”, he has become a genetically modified entity with the power to alienate all and everyone in the fight for his own existence. The only salvation seems to lay in the hands of his own wife, the only one with a chance of restoring Adama to his formal self. But when even the sacrifice of her father (Rahab) in surrendering to the Global Union has not success in let her out of her prison, she would have to take every possible risk to flee and try to save Adama by bringing back his humanity at all costs.

The events develop fast and the reader keep thrown for a ride into a world of intrigues and power-fights, where fractions will stop at nearly anything to reach a position of power that allows them to shape the Prophecy according to their own needs and wishes.

This series, set about sixty years in the future, is an impressive dystopian tale that explores the nuances of human nature and the real meaning of freedom. Exploring the up and downs of living in a theoretical perfect society and the hidden truths behind the real price for self-determination. A perfect series for all those that look for a dose of brain-food with their daily reading.

D.F. Wink writing is fluid, rich in meaning and nonetheless extremely enjoyable, a real page-turner with multitude of layers that will keep the reader sorting the action in his brain once and over again, impatiently waiting for the conclusion to the trilogy.

Book 2 in the Prometheus series continues on in England, after the Internet of Everything. Adama has been genetically modified into a fighting machine and Rahab must choose between her daughter and her longing for freedom from Manasseh. Are they are both part of the Prometheus prophesy ?

Amazing

This is an exciting follow on to the first, picks up where the first stopped. The ending caught me totally off guard. I can’t wait to see the surprises she has for us in the third book.
