Genre - Speculative Fiction/Fantasy Publication Date - June 13, 2017 Format - Kindle Pages - 446 Stars - 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 “The Metamorphoses (Kosmogonia Book III)” by Matthew John Benecke reads a little bit differently than the first two books. Actually, it reads a whole lot different if I’m completely honest. In this installment we are introduced to four new characters, Ralph, Samantha, Claire and Kurt. The first third of the book reads like a coming of age piece of fiction as we are introduced to the teens Ralph and Samantha. In the second third we are introduced to a couple misfit adults Claire and Kurt. The last third of the book reads more like the first two books in that it returns to the main storyline and the fantasy and speculative fiction elements; as well as the battle between good and evil. Different paths are taken by four different people who end up in the exact same place, the place they were destined to arrive at. As with the other books in this series it reads beautifully. The flow and cadence is once again flawless. I really enjoyed the idea of feeling like I was reading a whole new story in the first parts of this book and was wondering the whole time how the connection was going to be made to the other books. When the connection was made it was made brilliantly and with great effect. From my understanding there is a fourth book in the works which I am looking forward to reading. It’s been a wonderful journey and up to this point.
