AWARDS THIS BOOK HAS WON: none
APPROPRIATE GRADE LEVEL: Preschool (ages 3-4)
SUMMARY: In this book we have the ABCs done in a new and different way. Each page shows an animal getting ready for bed. Each animal represents a letter of the alphabet, and we follow along in rhyme. Some of the animals are new and exotic, like the Bandicoot, but they all have a routine for bedtime, just like the children do.
REVIEW: This book is a lot of silly fun mixed with some serious learning along the way. Having the animals engaging in some of the same bedtime rituals the children are accustomed to will keep them engaged and interested. The length of the book is also useful in keeping the children interested and not lose focus. Having some not so common animals will help with the childrens imaginations, and the soft illustrations make it easy to read and follow.
POSSIBLE CLASS USES: This book can be used any lesson plans that will reinforce letter recognition, animal identification, daily routines, times of day, shapes and colors.

mediocre at best. the illustrations are great, the overall concept is cute, the execution is poor (the rhyming isn't *awful*, but it's quite forced). it would have been great if there was some kind of logical sequence with the last animals going to sleep, and the animal watching television in the middle really isn't excellent for teaching kids about bedtime routines.

Super cute ABC book! I love the illustrations and the cute bedtime animals. This would be a great addition to anyone's bedtime library collection. Perfect for kids 0 to 7 but I think 3 to 5 year olds will like it the most. I will definitely be reading this to my son and the kids I nanny. This could also be a fun book for teachers to use when talking about animals.

Colorful!

Easy-to-follow rhyming verses together with vibrant illustrations offer a terrific learning lesson of the ABC's. The theme of bedtime rituals is cleverly woven in the story of each alphabet description. What a delight!

ABC Alphabet Animals at Bedtime

I really liked this book because it rhymes the alphabets which allowed my granddaughter to rehearse her alphabets with joy. She loves to recite her alphabets on a daily basis, so this was a really enjoyable book for her. Thanks so very much for this well illustrated and colorful book. I would recommend this book to any child that likes their ABC’s that is well illustrated with a few different animals. I gave this book four stars because of color, illustrations and rimes. Thanks again 👍👍!

The animals are so cute in this bedtime story book. It shows the alphabet animals and their bedtime routine. There are 27 animals in this book and they are so very cute. I pick out a few of the rhyming animals that are my favorite to share with you.
C is for Camel in a bubble bath, he always does this before bed.
H is for Hamster sipping a hot drink, while wearing her frilly nightie in a shade of pink.
M is for Mongoose reading a book. (Just like you.). A story at bedtime is
always worth a look.
Z is for Zebra in pajamas with flowers.
I found this book on a Kindle Unlimited website and so can you.

A nice bedtime story for toddlers

I think toddlers will love how Adam Aaron pairs animals in vivid, beautiful illustrations with each letter of the alphabet. On every page, het image of the animal is dressed in, or performs, a bedtime activity. I think that this, even when some of the animals are not known by the kids (or the one who read their bedtime story), make children will love it anyway. They recognize these bedtime objects.

This book pairs animals with each letter of the alphabet. Some of the animals are familiar ones like alligators and gorillas; others are not as well-known as the bandicoot and the x-ray fish. The tale is written in rhymes, some of which work better than others. Each animal performs an activity that is traditionally associated with a bedtime activity. Illustrations are large, bold and vivid.

Recommended for toddlers and preschoolers as a bedtime story or read-aloud.

Great for early readers and animal loving kids

This lovely little book with simple rhymes is great for early readers. My 6 year old granddaughter requests this every time she spends the night. We take turns reading each page. There are quite a few animals that are not native to the USA, so she has learned about animals she would normally not know about.
The rhyme schemes are very smooth and relaxing instead of sing-songs so she relaxes and goes to sleep easily.

I like the idea animals not found in lots of other books.

BUT

1. If you are going to write in verse, please use a meter that makes sense and that can be read; otherwise use prose.

2. The first page is totally not necessary and sounds more like a preachy teacher than a fun book

Adorable!

This book was a great night time read for my 2 1/2-year-old she was naming all the animals that she knew and you get to go over the letters and all the fun things the animals do for bedtime. Really cute book!

The pictures are cute the rhymes could be better. Nothing much happens here. While you don't necessarily want a lot of excitement in a bedtime book, something funny could make it more interesting if read more than once.

I liked it! Cute and colorful illustrations, teaching alphabet letters and sounds, as well as animals (some not so common animals, that can spark imagination and interest in a child).
