Incredibly profound and invaluable document of the events of Gwangju in May 1980. Especially considering the recent university protests across the US and Europe, this is a reminder that harming and killing children, teenagers, and young adults has never been against US policy. For me personally, also raises a question about the common theme of youth being more willing to put their bodies in the line of danger across many political spheres: is it because youth are more volatile and have less experience or because they are still able to imagine different political realities or both?
