Is Willow destined to become a vampire bride? Or is she strong enough to save them all?
After suffering a devastating tragedy, Willow, Eli and the Protectors find themselves back in Salem, consumed with anger and grief.
Mastering her powers and abilities hasn’t been the easiest journey. She’ll need to reach deep within, if she’s going to succeed in defeating Killian. It’s the only way to avoid becoming his vampire bride.
To save everyone, including herself, Willow makes choices that may threaten her bond with Eli and remove her from the safety of the Protectors.
With stakes this high, can love survive? Will her greatest risk pay off?
EMPOWERED is the third installment in The Oracle Chronicles series.
**This book is part of a series and ends in a cliffhanger**
Moni Boyce is an USA Today Bestselling author of contemporary and paranormal romance, a filmmaker and a poet. She spent fifteen years working in the film industry and now creates characters of her own, bringing to life on the page. She considers herself a bookworm, film buff, foodie, music lover and an avid world traveler having visited 34 countries, 5 continents and 27 US states so far. She currently lives in Virginia, but considers Los Angeles home.
The third installment of the Oracle series was the darkest of the series so far. The protectors are mourning their lost loved ones and the changes to their group. The relationship between Willow and Eli has moved from exciting newness into a strong committment, adding a new layer of sensuality. True to her nature, Willow is making a lot of questionable decisions based on good intentions. The men in the series are still my faves, Max the comforting optimist, and Eli- smooth, reserved, and sexy. Definitely ready to see how it all wraps up.
I love how Willow’s character changes into a fierce woman with a plan. To fully understand what’s going on please read the first two books in the series.
The title of book 3 says it all, Empowered is focused on Willow preparing herself to face her enemies. After the tragic events of Enlightened, everyone is more determined than ever to succeed, but also lost in their own grief and guilt. I enjoyed this story because Willow definitely did more to take charge of her own destiny. She had her own ideas of how she needed to prepare and was willing whatever it took to get the preparation she needed.
Magic: 3.5/5
I enjoyed the training scenes in this book, especially as Willow was learning more about her fae powers. There are definitely “training montages” in this story as everyone is preparing for the big showdown.
Overall: 4/5
If all hope was lost in Enlightened, Empowered brings new energy to the plan to take down Killian and his allies. Willow and Eli have a unique journey in this book as they struggle to agree on the way to achieve their goals.
When I woke up this morning to see the notification that this book was ready for download, I knew it would be a great day of reading the continuation of one of my absolutely favorite paranormal romance series. Moni Boyce breathes life into all her stories with her masterful storytelling. She has such a gift for it.
I'm already waiting for the next book to come out. Eager to see the finale of Willow, Eli, and all of the protectors current story. I LOVE this story so much and everyone needs to give it a shot. Well, only if you want to read a story with great, believeable characters and a artistically pieced together plot.
I was a bit disappointed with this book. I’ve been vested since book #1 but this third installment was missing a lot. The passion found in book one wasn’t here. The details were slim and it moved incredibly fast. It seemed rushed. I really hope things get back on track in book four
