He hung her like a scarecrow for the world to see.

A terrifying serial killer haunts the back roads of Northern New York.

Is Scarlett Bell walking into a deathtrap?

When Special Agent Scarlett Bell investigates a gruesome murder in a small farming village, she discovers a murderer like none she's previously encountered. Brilliant and insane, he taunts the FBI, who are powerless to stop him.

A school teacher disappears, and now Scarlett must discover the link between the two women before the killer claims another victim.

But the FBI won't give Scarlett the support she needs, and her own partner turns against her, forcing Scarlett to go rogue if she hopes to rescue the teacher.

And fugitive murderer Logan Wolf hides in the shadows, following Scarlett's every move.

The most intense Scarlett Bell thriller yet.

What a great series. As we rush to the conclusion in the next couple of books, the overarching plot is getting a bit clearer, and I can't wait to see what happens. As usual, the serial killer in this book is unique, fleshed out and exciting to read about. Keep 'em coming!

i have really enjoyed reading the scarlett bell series! they’re very short, easy reads. i like how the stories feel complete and leave me satisfied even though they’re all like 150 pages or less. it feels very unique to learn about the main characters, scarlett and gardy, over the course of the entire series. it’s interesting because they are developed well enough in the first book to b satisfying, but we learn so much more as the series progresses. the book/series layout reminds me of my favorite shows like bones, csi, and criminal minds. i’m excited to continue reading this series and dan padavona’s entire backlist!

Discovered this series completely by accident over Easter while looking for some shorter length audio books to listen to while going about my day to day and was absolutely delighted with the find.

Each audiobook is roughly 3 hours in length and covers a new case each book while continuing the main story of the FMC Scarlett Bell.

I finished the first 3 books in one day because they were so good and I needed more.

If you are a fan of quick listen audiobooks, the mystery/thriller genre and enjoy shows like Criminal Minds then this is definitely series you should add to your TBR/TBL.

Conspiracy theories are flying

Scarlett and Gardy have some downtime after the last case, but Scarlett is still being guarded by the FBI while Wolf is still on the run. Something is a miss with Director Weber. Agent Bell gets kidnapped while trying to find another kidnapped victim. Suspense really hits overdrive throughout the rest of the book.

I'm hooked!

The Scarlett Bell series is fantastic! I've read 6 of the books in the past week. I didn't realize this series existed before I started to read the one that follows it, but it's still been really fun to read these books.

As much as I love The Scarlett Bell Series the Logan Wolf aspect of the story is really starting to frustrate me. Now for the review. I'm wondering if Dan Padavona has issues with religion, because he knows how to write dark serial killers with problems with religion. In this book we are seeing the possible cracks in the Neil Gardy and Scarlett Bell partnerships. We see Scarlett's frustration with Gardy's overprotectiveness. I love Scarlett's instincts and how she follows them, even if this is going to get her in trouble. I think I'm starting to see some of the Logan Wolf story coming to life. I have two questions that nobody seems to be asking. I wish Scarlett of Logan would ask. I think if these questions were addressed I think we would also see who is trying to kill Scarlett and Logan. I have a couple ideas on this also. One is very obvious the other is kind of out there but possible. In my opinion if you like this series this is a good continuation. I read this on Kindle Unlimited.
