Okay, so after feeling a little guilty for leaving a negative review on her other book, I decided to give this—seemingly the really popular one based on all the 5-star reviews on Amazon—a chance. For some reason, Amazon isn't letting me leave a review, so I'll post it here. Possible spoilers ahead a super long, critical review.

I totally, fully, completely, honestly, genuinely regret reading this book. Was that too repetitive? Well, that's how the author's style seems to be, based on her two books that I read. To give you an exact quote from the book:

"Oh, no. This was bad. Bad. Bad. Bad. Bad. Bad." ... "Over and over and over again." This one right here was repeated so much that I honestly cannot stand the phrase now.

I was SO intrigued by the 5-star reviews on Amazon and all the raves, but I now genuinely believe they're all from her friends or super-loyal fans because honestly, how in the world did this book get all the good ratings that it has?

Characters:
ISABELLA pissed me off the most. She was supposedly a strong, powerful wolf who wanted to be a warrior more than anything, and that was admirable because she wanted to protect her people. Where I hated her was her disrespectful comments about Vanessa when the woman honestly never did anything wrong, as far as I remember? Vanessa was mostly nice, but just because she was constantly flirting with men, she was a "whore", a "try-hard", and my favourite which is given to any girl who is flirty, "bitch". Excuse me, but what the hell? Isabella was the bitch in this story, no offence. I absolutely could not connect with her. Isabella was also introduced as a fierce warrior, and I would have liked to *see* more of that. Her flirting to complete her mission isn't fierce. Her killing a rogue or two *just like that* isn't fierce. I wanted to see more of her strategising, plotting, intimidating and doing something other than growling or just slashing her nails across someone's skin.

VANESSA didn't deserve any of the disrespect or hate she received. A few times in the story I even thought she LIKED Isabella because she showed so much interest in her. That would have been such a plot twist! Even though we didn't get much from her, Vanessa was probably my favourite character (if I had to choose one).

And then there was ROMAN. The guy was basically nonexistent in this book unless they were having sex. He was always so hard on Isabella for no reason before she turned 18 and when she finally did, his personality does a 180. And he was the Alpha? Where? We literally saw nothing that displayed him as the Alpha. It would have been much better if he was a common wolf, because he really didn't do shit. Raj was heaps better, and he was just a side character.

Chemistry:
Who? There was zero connection between Isabella and Roman. They fought most of the story and when they were not fighting, it's because Roman had his fingers in her pants. I didn't get the vibe that they were mates or that there really were any intense feelings between them. It was all physical. The scenes with Raj and Jane, although brief, showed far more affection than what Roman and Isabella ever displayed. Towards the very end (final 3 or so chapters), Isabella just suddenly and randomly blurts out "I love Roman". With the way they kept dancing around each other, I expected the revelation to be a bit... more. But it was just thrown there, just like the sex in the final chapter.

The sex scenes were boring. They just seemed so stiff, rushed and thrown there just because. It wasn't hot. It wasn't erotic. It wasn't special. It was simply... tedious. I can't believe I'm saying this, but the sex scenes in Come Here, Kitten were better, and I hated those as well.

Plot:
The book has 55 chapters I believe and only when we get up to I think chapter 45 do we start to see the plot *somewhat* moving. The story progressed so slowly. There was nothing exciting happening in the beginning, and then when we reach the final 5 or so chapters, it's basically arushtothefinishline. Like that. The rescue was too fast. Ryker's death was too fast. The Lycans acknowledging Isabella as their leader was too fast. It all happened in literally one night. You had 45+ chapters to lay out the plot and the storyline, but ended up dragging it all only to rush it at the end. The book is incomplete and unsatisfying.

Writing Style:
I said it once and I'll say it again, the writing comes off as immature and childish, boring even. I don't know if this is because of the characters' pov or the author's actual style, but it's honestly hard to enjoy. It's also repetitive. I get that there are certain things you need for dramatic effects but not to THAT extent. Some things are better left unsaid to allow the reader to connect the dots, to think, to theorise and keep guessing. Repeating things hinders the story and progress. Also, the author has no grasp whatsoever of the show-don't-tell. We get told the character is hurt, angry, sad, scared, etc but never actually shown anything.

Final Thoughts:
Judgemental female. An "Alpha" male who does nothing. Swift and sudden fighting scenes. Plain and pointless sex scenes. All tell and no show. Repetitive and immature writing. Totally misleading reviews. Isabella could have been less bitchy and more thoughtful. Roman could have been shown as the leader he was said to be. The sex scenes could have been more intimate between them, or even just small gestures of affection would have gone a long way. The fighting scenes should've lasted for longer than 2 seconds, and the story could have moved a little quicker and had some suspense to keep the reader hooked. I wish people who left reviews told you why they give the ratings they do rather than just gushing or hating without giving an actual, helpful review.

Submitting to the Alpha was a pretty interesting story and I thought the whole premise of it was intriguing. Especially with the warriors and how the pack was assigned. Where it lost me was the pacing of everything. The first 70% or so was a lot of back and forth with the hero and heroine doing the same things over and over. Isabella pushing Roman's buttons until he touched her like she wanted, all while saying she hated him or didn't want him - rinse, repeat. By the time we got to Isabella's 18th birthday where the story actually moved forward I was just a little too bored to be fully invested. And then the ending with all of the excitement seemed rushed compared to the rest of the story.

Overall, I still enjoyed the book and I am interested in seeing what more could come from these characters.

Submitting To The Alpha
By Emilia Rose

Isabella is 17 and has spent her life working towards accomplishing her dream of becoming a Lycan warrior. The most feared of all warriors. Roman is 21. His parents were murdered by rogue wolves when he was 15 and forced him to grow up early and become the new alpha when his father died.

When Isabella catches the eye of the leader of the Lycans, Ryker, who wants her to join them, Roman does all he can to keep her safe, including crushing her dreams to keep her near him.

Isabella is a very rebellious teen and takes great joy in disobeying Roman. Roman just wants her to behave so he can behave himself around her and keep her safe.

Train wreck, DNF at 98% because I no longer cared about any of them. The h is in senior high school, waiting to know her mate on her 18th birthday. In this world, mates share marks and necklaces with key roles allocated to them. She's trained hard to be a warrior, but her Alpha H mate wanted to protect her, so allocates her to a nurse. He was weak, and she's supposed to be strong but I thought her childish. She sneaks off and leaves him. It was a first and last book by this author for me. Awful.

I can't wait to see what comes next in the relationship between Roman and Isabella. I have a feeling that they can over come anything that is thrown at them.
Ryker is the leader of the Lycans and the biggest liar of them all. Roman is the alpha of the Silverclaw Pack which Isabella is part of. Ryker is hiring bad things to attack and kill alphas and then take over their land killing all their people.

Holy hotness. This book had me fanning myself with all the sexual tension and action. I've always a sucker for paranormal fated mates. Add in some suspenseful action, and I'm hooked. I couldn't put the book down, and I binged read it within 24 hours. At first I thought this book was going to be more of an erotica, but there was such a great plotline along with it. Emilia Rose has created one of the best shifter storylines I've read in quite some time. I really didn’t want the story to end, but I'm excited about the next book.

Isabelle has been training to be a warrior in her pack since she was a little girl, and she won’t let anyone get in her way. At every ever step she takes, Alpha Roman is there pushing her in a different direction. She doesn't know yet, but Roman and Isabelle are fated mates. Roman believes he's protecting his mate. Isabelle thinks Roman doesn't believe in her. With so many secrets and twist, will they be able to overcome the obstacles that keep coming between then?

Isabelle's grows within her character, and becomes such a strong female lead. She takes no crap from anyone, not even her alpha. She has a strong mind, and knows exactly where she wants to go. I always love seeing women stand up for themselves, and doesn't let anyone, not even a sexy hot Alpha in her way. I'm surprised she didn’t put the clues together that Roman was her mate. She was able to disobey him, and no matter how hard she tried she couldn't stay way from him.

Roman comes off as a jerk majority of the book. He really believes he's protecting Isabelle, but he's going about it all wrong. Roman let his past and fears dictate his actions. By the end of the book, I was in love with him. Even if he screwed up a few times. He wanted the best for his mate.

If you're into shifters, fated mates, and tons of action this is a book for you!

I received a free copy for an honest review.

The audiobook narrator sounds 14 years old and with a lisp that's slight but enough to make you want to die a little. The characters and writing seemed juvenile as well. I've read roughly a billion books in this genre so I know I'm not being harsh--alpha can be done well. This is not it.

First and foremost Emilia Rose is an amazing author! This book from the first chapter pulled me in and from then on I could not stop reading! The suspense and drama all lead to an amazing book. This story is nothing like anything that I have read before and that is saying a lot for people who are avid readers! This story is hands down an all-time favorite for me and I continue to go back and read it over and over again! Not only is this book amazing but the author as well as a very caring author who is not afraid to interact with her readers and thus making the storylines and every single plot twist all the better! Just knowing that even though the author wrote the story she is right there beside you wanting to understand and feel the plot twist right along with the reader! I would definitely recommend this book to people who want to read a steamy, drama-filled, amazing story overall!

2.5 i guess? Like, it wasn't bad enough to give up on, but it wasn't great. I didn't really feel like the couple was actually in love. the world building was subpar, not bad, just unfinished.

also, throat fucking to the point of gagging is not for me.

DNF at 2%. Uh. She's underage!? I thought college but nope. This is high school.

And he's basically accusing her of teasing him by masturbating in her own bedroom. Gross.

The MC just sucks so bad. Part of it is down to the world building, which is awful. A key point is that the packs need to defend themselves against "rogues" which is explained literally not at all. It gives the impression of them being desperate to kill... other wolves? Homeless wolves? There's no motivation for the enemy besides these are evil people who need to be indiscriminately killed which is... yeah. And they are actual people that they go out and chat with, with consciousness, not any kind of mindless monster. Not great. Especially when it's the heroine's life goal to kill strangers for.... safety? Idk, maybe the rogues wouldn't be such a problem if they weren't getting killed on sight by everyone.

So the heroine is already not very sympathic, but them from the very start, she's got the worst case of "not like other girls" that's ever been seen. She doesn't want to admit liking the hero but heaven forbid another girl look at him. They're all sluts and brainless and the misogyny is literally painful.

We're going to wave over the magical soulmate sense at eighteen, because that feels within the bounds of reasonable fantasy, even if it's poorly developed, but the choice to make it at eighteen is uninspired at best. I don't know what the heroine's personality would've been besides extremely irritating and naive seventeen year old though. Though I do have to point out: she's seventeen. She's not anyone's "greatest warrior", she's a kid with a seriously inflated sense of self worth.

The whole pack world building is nonsensical anyway, but it gets worse when you add the Lycans, a pack that is apparently all warriors? Defending... something? The story tries to convince you they're badass and necessary, but it just comes across as a band of maladjusted kids that kills any suspicious stranger they come across. What even is the qualification for "rogues"? Not being sufficiently intimated by the cool warrior guys? I get the impression the author really believes in the military and cops. ACAB, including the heroine.

The hero is mostly a non entity, vague tragic backstory that doesn't matter, mostly just a foil for the heroine to be horny about. He's also an idiot, but why should he be the exception.

Yes, the smut is hot. It is not worth the rest of it.

Reader Beware: Critical Review

I started out this book with high hopes. I’ve read many many many Shifter stories and I quite like them because they have a particular niche in erotica and romance stories that I find most other novels in the genre do not. They have this primal sense of animalistic urgency (duh) but also there is a more instinctual and emotional drive in the characters and overall storyline that is feeding off a raw sort of energy and all this is very true in this book as well.

Now, where it all goes south is the story arc. There’s little to no character development and it’s so fucking frustrating. And not a good kind of frustrating either.

Before I dive in, let’s start with what I really liked about the book. The author really wrote the story in such a way that things were explained succinctly without spending too much time on boring details i.e. no fluff. It also has the essential elements that a good erotica (IMO) should have. The two main characters seem to be very much into each other and there is conflict in their personal desires, so there is actually a story to write about and both characters are headstrong which makes it more of a rocky road to the end of the story as opposed to a flowers and frills kind of story. It’s not a sweet romance and I appreciate that it’s the kind of love and affection you have to work and fight for which I think is more reminiscent of real life, making it easier to believe and follow along with the story.

I also appreciate that each shifter story is different because each author prescribes a certain narrative, culture and historical context for the clans and their families and I think the storyline in this one works well and makes sense with the plot.

The steamy scenes…are, well, steamy. Very much so, especially with the added ‘animal instinct’ element tossed in. I did find some of the sexual interactions or conversations to be quite…janky? at times.

HOWEVER

Where the hell is the character development?

To me, telling a story can be like driving a car. The author has full control over where is a story goes and as readers we’re passengers who are enjoying the journey with the characters. This particular story felt like driving through standstill traffic.

If you’ve ever read far enough in a story that you’re starting to see the same patterns, the same conversations and interactions being repeated by the same characters over and over again you get to a point where you’re just frustrated. Frustrated with the lack of dynamic within the character themselves, within their relationships to other characters and frustrated with the stagnancy and repetitiveness of their thought process. That’s what killed the book for me.

I got tired of watching the unnecessarily painful back-and-forth between Isabella and her mate. I would even say that it takes it to the toxic level at one point. Even after she turns 18 and they’ve both admitted their obvious attraction and connection to each other they continue to hide things from each other and refuse to discuss it, so they both end up hurting. So much so that both of them get driven to what seems to be the edge of their control and pain, but refuse to be a solace for each other. To me it just doesn’t make much sense, especially given the context of Shifter romance and mating.

Boy like girl, girl likes boy. And unlike your usual Romance story, shifters have an instinctual tell tale that they’ve met The One ™️. Instead, Isabella and her mate seem to torture themselves for devotion? It’s a weird mind-fuck of “if you can completely resist this instinctual pain and temptation that *all* shifters go through in this situation then that would prove your love and undying devotion for me and that will maybe resolve the almost love-hate we seem to have going here” yea…it’s weird.

Also: they lack a certain level of intimacy. There’s nothing but walls between these two. And very little comfort and familiarity between them. No nicknames, no shared attributes or hobbies or time spent that seemed fulfilling. Neither seemed to really learn much about the other person which was also weird seeing as it kept being brought up how distant they were. And when one person was hurt or upset? They just used it to punish the other. Also not hot.

When other readers do finish the book, and get to the parts that I’ve sort of hinted here, I would love to hear what you think and if you see it the way I am? Is there a steamy element to this back-and-forth that others are seeing that I’m missing?

TLDR;
Overall, I liked the first 3/4 of the book. The last quarter or so felt like a splash of cold water on the otherwise steaming hot sections of the story before. “Your tits are so fucking nice” sounds more like what one hormonal teenager says to another in the heat of the moment. IMO the reverence and love that supposedly comes with having a mate is lacking - AT TIMES. (I only capitalize this ti say all other times I was fully immersed and loving it but there were a few bucket-of-cold-water moments like that one). I would’ve liked a more resilient character as the personality the author wrote for Isabella doesn’t seem to reach her internal dialogue. Where’s the tough, independent, ready-to-defy-all person when it comes to shielding herself from the emotional strain? And why is her mate so adamant to not talk to her about what he’s thinking or planning. I get the whole “strong headed male” thing going on, but even when his plans go left, he doesn’t let her know why he did what he did to hurt her? In one word, which you’re probably tired of hearing: frustrating.

While I’m being super critical of this novel (and I don’t mean to say you shouldn’t read it or you might not enjoy it) it would have been an easy 5 stars if not for the lack of character development, all other sins can be forgiven. Writing is certainly not easy and I’m not suggesting I could do one better, just hoping to give (and maybe gain) some perspective sharing this and seeing what others thought. Will definitely be picking up another one of the author’s books.

HOLY Hotness! Roman is not like any other alpha I've read about recently. He knew of his mate since he was older and instead of man-whoring he engaged her, had fun with her building up a sexual tension, and then when she became of age, let the actual act happen. Boy did he dom her in so many ways and did she ever act like a brat pushing for the punishment. I needed a cold shower.
So many challenges and twists between them as well even a villain in sheep's clothing. Ryker seemed like he would be a formidable option for a love interest, especially since he pursued Isabella. I didn't get Roman's sister Jane and all of her interactions and dislike for Isabella. Looking forward to the next book to see how Roman and Isabella manage their relationship.

I rarely leave a negative review and a small part of me feels bad for doing so now - but this book had so much potential and was ruined by an immature writing style.

The premise of the book was actually solid and could’ve been a 3-5 star read depending on development but that was entirely lacking here. The majority of the book is basically reading about masturbation to tease a guy and lackluster sex scenes that don’t actually result in any true intimacy. Don’t get me wrong, I enjoy some good smut in my reading - but this was just not it.

Disappointing and almost a DNF but I just kept hoping the author would flesh out the actual plot of a strong independent warrior woman coming into her own. Sadly it didn’t happen for me.

2.5*

I started this book almost accidently as I read the first few chapters from a friend's Wattpad.

While the book wasn't the worst I've read in the ganre, I'm so tired and disappointed every time when I read how the female lead takes another woman down just because she flirts with the love interest. I'm so over women called "wh0re" and "slvt" just because they flirt or date a lot and when I saw that this as almost a plot line in the book I knew there will hardly be any redeemable qualities to make up for it.

Indeed I was not wrong. The plot was almost non-existant and some chapters I only skimmed because of how dull it was. When I saw it was a part of triology I knew I just wouldn't bare to read the other books.

Its been awhile since I have read shifter books and although I did enjoy this book there were some things that annoyed me. The setting of the story is great but the push and pull between the MC got tired after awhile. Also, this is a YA shifter story which explains the immature behavior of both H and h. On the either hand, I loved the chemistry and the whole build up of the story. There was also just enough angst to make it interesting.

Just... bad. I will NOT be continuing this series. I highly disliked Isabella and Roman. At the start of the book, Isabella seemed desperate it actually made me cringe. She hated Vanessa for being desperate but then went ahead and did the same thing. Also, Vanessa wasn't even THAT mean, but Isabella hated her because of their interactions in the fifth grade?! But what did I expect, Isabella is a literal child and she acts like one. I usually like the "brat" kink but Isabella was straight-up annoying as hell. This book's "reason for the two love interests to not be together" was extremely solvable which made the entire plot moot until the ending. Like, yeah she went to a new pack but it seemed less than an hour away from him? Like, she wasn't moving across the country and a lot of her missions took place where Roman was located so this was just stupid. The Lycans should not have been enemies with everyone else which also added to my confusion because they had the literal same goal which was to get rid of the rogues. The ending felt like the writer had finished writing the story but felt like it needed something more because it was boring so she added a new villain. Can we also talk about how stupid Roman was?
Spice: 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️/5
Here are my notes throughout the book:

" She was angry that Roman was flirting with me, and the next, she was angry that Derek was my mate."
Conspiracy theory: Vanessa was totally into Isabella and didn't like her with either of the men

"' Barely would touch me the whole time I was there.' Lie".
Why did this plot point and this ending feel so forced and abrupt?

4.5 stars: Super steamy, spicy, sexy with action, violence, and lies

FORMAT: Audiobook

POV: dual
HUMOR: some
F BOMBS: yes
CLIFFHANGER: no
NEW AUTHOR FOR ME: no
POSSIBLE TRIGGERS: some action/violence scenes a bit bloody, explicit sex scenes and language, spanking, dubcon/noncon (see Notes below), rough sexy times including pinched nose/unable to breathe, swallower, most of this was while FMC still 17

AUTHOR'S DISCLAIMER: "This is a MF romance that evolves into a MFM romance in Book 2."

CHARACTERS: Isabella (17, turning 18) and Alpha Roman (~21)

OVERALL: Super steamy, spicy, sexy with action, violence, and lies

NARRATOR: Just what I expected Isabella to sound like. She also does voices for the guys, too. And boy can she moan!

PROS:
1. Roman is a growly, possessive, make-you-wet instantly type of alpha and Isabella is sometimes bratty, but mainly a strong FMC, physically and her character, too.
2. If you like stories where there's instant high chemistry between MCs, then this is for you.
3. Character growth
4. Complete story. Even though there's a book 2 and the story continues with a new phase, it doesn't end in a cliffhanger.

CONS:
1. Would like more info on this paranormal world of werewolves. Some info here and there about mates and age, but not much on what happens if mates are rejected, can you have more than one mate, forced mating/marking, etc.
2. The decisions and actions/nonactions of some of the characters are immature (please remember the MCs are really young)
3. Some characters kept making the same mistakes over and over, and this might lead you to shout at your audiobook. On a good note, this led to character growth.

NOTES:
1. This is Book 1 of 3
2. In this werewolf world, there's fated mates, marking, and shifting, no knotting
3. Was gutted when Roman did not do what he should have on her birthday.
4. Even though there's some dubcon/noncon and rough sexy times, both characters enjoyed it

I have read this book before a long time ago and I read it again today. It was as good as I remember it being. Oh my goodness.

I love Roman and Isabella as a pair. Their chemistry even before the confession of them being mates occurred, was off the charts. They are so well suited. They are strong individuals and are absolutely perfect for each other.

I live for the fact that Isabella is not a pick me. She is hard headed and overall leader that will take nothing from nobody. Even Roman.

Roman was a fantastic character. He was a little arrogant to begin with and I found it a little bit cringe worthy in some of his scenes with Isabella but overall he was very well written.

I love that Isabella was the only one able to see through the BS of Ryker. He was an absolute A-hole and deserved what he got for marking a mated female during her heat for his own selfish reasons. I hate that he was trying to replace her with Isabella. That was just unacceptable.

Vanessa was a pain in the butt. She was all over Roman and I hated her in the beginning. If we are being honest with ourselves, I still hate her. Maybe over the next couple of books I will forgive her but not right now.

Jane (Roman’s sister) was a bit of a bitch. Like, she was just rooting for trouble. My god. She tried splitting Roman and Isabella up for crying out loud.

Derek was fabulous. He was absolutely one of the best people in this book. He was the bestest best friend for Isabella. He was always in her corner and just overall amazing.

Finally, I enjoyed that Roman finally marked her. It was the best moment in the whole book. I was sad that it didn’t occur sooner. I was rooting for them to be marked by each other as soon as they found out they were mates on her eighteenth birthday. But I guess, the events that unfolded, it was probably for the best.

Emilia Rose is a new author for me and her book Submitting to the Alpha is a seriously hot read! The book focuses on Isabella, a young woman who keeps trying to entice her aloha by leaving her curtains open at night so that he can see what she is doing. Not only that, but she also wants to be a warrior. But life is not as easy for Isabella as she wants it to be…her alpha wants to protect her at any cost, even if that means driving her away!

This book is full of actions, sexy scenes and a great story line. Isabella is a really strong character who knows her mind and knows what she wants to be in life. That doesn’t mean that she doesn’t make mistakes as she does throughout this novel, but more through stubbornness and a need to succeed than anything else. It doesn’t help that her alpha, Roman is deliciously hot but also just as stubborn and also makes mistakes along the way.

The story flows really well and you’re captured not only by the relationship that both Isabella and Roman have which is complex to say the least, but also the story of Isabella finding her place in the world and coming up against road blocks, whether that be people or situations.

There are some hot scenes in this book and some moments where you want to shake both characters. As a new reader to this author. I can only say how much I enjoyed the give and take of both characters as well as secondary characters and the role they played in Isabella and Roman’s life…if only they both weren’t so determined and head strong.

A really strong, paranormal read!

ARC received for a fair, honest and sometimes long review 😊

OK so Isabella really started to irritate me at first but then I thought she is acting like a lot of girls her age, she's 17 of course she's immature. Once I got that I didn't have such a problem with her, we are selfish and know what's best for us at that age but she matured throughout the book. I've seen some reviews bashing Roman but I liked him, he was trying to do the right thing and to protect Isabella but he didn't always go about it the right way, I liked he wasn't the alpha that's always right. Roman's had a hard life with the loss of his parents and becoming alpha at 15, I think he turned out pretty well considering. The character Vanessa was like people I've known in the past and I could have happily slapped her but even she seemed to improve at the end of the book. I must admit to having a soft spot for Raj. There's action and danger from the the rogues who are killing alpha's and taking their land, Isbella and Roman need to come together to stand a chance against the rogues and darker, more dangerous threat.
I'm not sure how someone like Roman would accept Isbella having another mate in the next book and I'm not sure I want her to, in fact no I don't.
Someone commented in a review the only way this book could get good reviews is if they're by friends of the author, I'd like to make it clear I don't know this author and have never read any of her work before, maybe different people like different things? I think it's pretty rude and insulting to suggest that good reviews are from friends just because you don't like the book, in fact it's pretty disgusting to make those sort of claims about people you don't know just because you don't agree with them. I've seen this a few times on other books and never said anything but sometimes something needs saying, I really enjoyed this book and I bought it purely by chance.

Okay so I have a couple of thoughts some good, some bad 👀😅

It took me a while to get hooked with the main characters, if you’ve read Emelia Rose before, you’ll come to find out she surprises you with Spice and Plot but this book right here was UGGGHHH.

Firstly, Isabella was an annoying character. She was selfish trying to be selfless. Her actions and the way she acted was just beyond. I understood it though because she was a seventeen year old graduating her senior year and after graduating and she turns eighteen she is allowed to officially be and help with her pack (Silverclaw pack)

She has always wanted to be a warrior, she is smart and strong so if you overlook the annoyance . Yes she’s a great character but her thoughts were just EHHH

Secondly, we have Roman. The Alpha of this pack trying to “protect” her and his actions causes Isabella to act out. It was messy. I wasn’t entirely impressed but I gave Emelia less credit than she deserved because SHIITTTT STARTED TO GO DOWWWNNN. I really should’ve seen it coming as it’s a trilogy 😂😅

Thirdly, the plot was an overall 3 for me but the spice and steam and the romance was adorable and HAWT 🥵🥺

This is a MF that turns into a MFM Romance and it’s an interesting dynamic as werewolves have “mates” and what not so definitely finishing this series out

Overall Rating
3.5/5⭐️ 3/5🔥 3.5/5🌶

thoroughly disappointed with this book. the first part was good. i fell in love w the girl character literally from the first page but fell out of love halfway through the book. i was devastateddd,,most of the time-action filled-i would just skim through the pages it was so sad. the book had so many potential i m mot going to lie but it just went downhill for me.

for the characters,, isabella was the most disappointing. she acts as if shes tough, at first that was what made me drawn to her but halfway through it she was just doing toooo much i suggest her to calm down. also repeatedly commenting on scared being labelled as a “hoe” but goes around and surrounds herself w men??? i dont knowwwww. and as for the male main character, roman, he’s the type that loves her endlessly which made me want to continue finishing this book. but so many parts could been avoided if they were just going to be honest w each other. so many unnecessary parts of misunderstanding and jealousy it was so annoying.

this book could easily be a short novella and it would still be amazinggg. but its a no for me i would applaud myself for actually managing to finish this book. finished it within 3 hours. wasted my 3 hours.

how i felt reading this book:
😍😳🥊😂😥😭🙄😤🥱😬😑

✅ Werewolf/shifter
✅ Fated Mates
✅ Easy Read
✅ Audiobook
✅ On Hoopla

🛑 Teenage MC’s
🛑 Lack of Communication Skills
🛑 Minimal World Building
🛑 3rd Act Break Up
🛑 Cheating- (FMC Kisses other people, almost mates them, after finding her mate.)

Comparison- Do you LOVE Millennial wolf on Galatea, or any other of this super cheesy pay per read apps? Then you may like this. It feels like it was written with the intension of trying to get you to think every little thing is important, so you don’t put it down, but in reality it rehashes the same content, mini “cliffhanger”, or ultimatums, to keep you reading. Without ever saying anything truly important. It’s frustrating as heck, but also addicting, so you keep reading.

Review: I was looking for a cheesy shifter book after stupidly downloading Galatea, and I read this in a day. I had a lot of stuff I didn’t like, like the lack of communication and teenage childish behaviors between the FMC and the MMC, and the second act break up, but it definitely hooked me enough to keep reading. Ultimately this particular book wasn’t for me and I’m a little embarrassed to say I finished it, but teenage love triangle/angst is a perfect good trope (if your into it), it just wasn’t for me.

It's a no from me.
I was looking for a good pack book, however this one is not working for me.
I'm DNF it at 48%.

1) The story stars in the middle of everything. The main characters are childhood friends (I guess), he is an alfa and she is waiting to be 18 y/o to find out who her mate is and also wants to become a warrior for the pack.

2) The interactions between main characters are all about sex (in some shape or form) and it's just too much and there's just one scene (so far) where they actually spend some time together and seem (kinda) normal/childhood friends.
Where is the character build up? Where's the relationship growth? Where's the conversation?

3) I'm not getting the dynamic - she is pushing his buttons because she wants him to touch her (and more), and he is always jumping on her like a dog in heat. And when she doesn't push his buttons, he thinks something is wrong. And when he doesn't rub on her, she thinks he's losing interest. What? The whole thing is just...no comment.

3) What's the plot again?

I'll keep searching for a good wolf pack book, because this isn't it.
