Revenge isn’t easy. Especially when you’re a girl like me.

I’ve learned the truth, and I’ve suffered for my sins. Not everything is as it seems, especially my brother, whose grave is cast in shadow. One thing is for certain, though: someone has to pay for what happened to him.

His murderers must come to justice.

So I make a deal with the devils themselves, and agree to take down an enemy with the Elites.

Lukas is sweet and kind.

Blake has hidden desires.

Wild Tanner will do and say anything.

But the one I understand the least is Cole...

Life is harsh. There’s no knight in shining armor who will save me from my enemies. Least of all myself.

Girls like me don’t deserve forgiveness.

Do we?

This book contains suspense, romance, and mature themes. Reader discretion advised. This is a reverse harem high school bully romance with a revenge plot.

At the end of Book #1, we read as Brenna was abducted and learned the truth that her brother's suicide wasn't a suicide at all, that it was in fact murder. Now Brenna's real identity was also revealed at the school dance and she should be expelled but the boys aka Elites want her to stay at Coleridge and so they pull some strings and she is back on the roll for another year at least. With the help of the guys, she will try and learn what is on Silas's laptop and what he was involved in and what evidence led to his death. It seems that everything is connected to an elite group called The Syndicate who are very powerful and have the ability to make things especially people and problems disappear for good. One of Brenna's goals this semester is also to make Hass pay for his crimes including the framing of her brother Silas for rape. What happens though when her clumsy self ends up destroying evidence? This leads to a testifying with Georgia whom will later move from enemy status to frenemy. Just as things though may be looking up for Brenna as Blake, Lukas, Tanner and Cole all in their own ways proclaim their feelings for Brenna making this a YA reverse harem as compared to a lot of other bullymances - the Coleridge Academy Elites series is quite tame and has more of a suspense/thriller side to it. The Knight ends on a major cliffhanger which I was like OMG noooo - I need Book #3 now which sadly can't happen as it is still coming with a date that is TBC. In terms of the Bullymance RH trope, Coleridge Academy Elites by Lucy Auburn is one of the better series.

I received this ARC from BookSprout for Honest Review.
I Give this book a 4/5 Star Rating.
No Spoilers.

Cliffhanger(?): Absolutely!
I Honestly have no bloody clue on what’s going on and I’m just Living For It!

Romance: 2/5, Not Much But I Don’t Care, It’s So Good So Far!!
Heat: 2.5/5, (this rating isn’t base on quality of the scenes, just the amount. There isn’t much but it fits the story for me)
*This is a Slow Burner, and it’s definitely slow but I think it’s great!
Drama: 4/5
Suspense: 5/5
*One thing I’d like to note is that I sincerely hope that this is not a 3 book series, I don’t want it to be crammed if Book 3 happens to be the final.
I actually like the pacing very vey much cause it fits the storyline very well. That I honestly do hope it spans a few more books.
I Like How it’s Not Rushed and the Build of the Relationships so far is strain, but you can very clearly see the growth.
I Am So Looking Forward to Reading Book 3!

What a thriller of a book!

The suspense in this book is like a ball of nervous energy in my stomach because I need to know and any information is given drip by drip.
Lucy you have weaved such an intense and thrilling story for this second installment - I can't wait to see where it goes in King.

That cliff hanger...holy hot dang!! You don't suspect it until it happens and you're like yeah that makes sense but dang, I really want to know what happens next.

I did get slightly eye twitchy at our female MC during this story as she doesn't just express what she wants with the guys - if I was her I would be all over them unapologetically, even if they are psychotic.

Overall, this is an amazing book.

Review

Ugh that damn cliffhanger!! So if you read book 1, the story picks up right back up. You start to see Brenna and The Elites work together to take down a even bigger bad guy.

I loved to progression of the story however the only thing that is discouraging is the lack of romance between Brenna and The Elites. I wish the author would give a little more steamy within her storytelling.

Overall I can’t wait until the third book, hopefully it will not be long.

Brilliant

Wow what a storyline, I absolutely loved this. We see a bit more depth in the main characters in this book and for every question answered only more questions arise as the plot thickens. The book is well written and I really enjoy work by this author. I am surprised how few reviews have been left for this series as is definitely one of the best I have read this year. A must read and definitely worth 5*

The Knight by Lucy Auburn is the second book in the Coleridge Academy Elite series. In this book, a girl named Brenna who is searching for the reason why her brother died while attending Coleridge Academy ends up almost dead herself when she is kidnapped and left tied up in the back of a car. This book starts off with a bang and is a non stop ride full of a murder mystery that Brenna is determined to solve. It involves a young woman determined to find justice and a group of young men who are the academy’s elite and have a vested interest in protecting their status. This book involves complex topics that many young people face and is quite realistic in its representation of difficult topics. As long as you can handle this type of realistic storyline you will enjoy this book as much as I did. I think this book is a wonderful read that examines the perceived differences between the class ideals of rich verses not. It is definitely one read that makes you examine how you feel about those around you. The Knight is one young woman’s attempt to make sense of her twin brother’s murder.

So I FINALLY get book 2 in this series and it DOESN'T disappoint. It was amazing! So obviously book one ended with Brenna getting kidnapped. Now we are about to hear what happens. Well, I knew that she would be rescued but not by who you think! Totally did not see that. So now we now some of the truth of what happened to her brother and she realizes that her targets may have been innocent or not? She is still at school but now she is having to be her since she was outed by Georgia in the last book. So she is trying to find herself in the world of the rich. Unfortunately, the guys are not making it easy for her. Shoot they confuse me more than the evil girls. As she is trying to expose a bad guy, she ends up in trouble so who bails her out this time. Well, I was freaking shocked when I found out and now I need the next book like stat!! THIS. SERIES. IS. AMAZING!!

Brenna was overwhelmed, confused and doubtful. The truth turned out to be very dangerous and almost deadly with a new twist that would require her to think carefully about what she wanted and what she was going to do. Also, what was behind Lukas, Blake, Cole and Tanner’s behavior? What had changed? Things were getting ugly, scary and very complicated. Time to be wary because the big guns were at stage. The cliffhanger surprised me. What I least expected. Suspense, intrigue, emotions, violence, passion and much danger. Love these stories with complicated and exciting plot developments that keep me intrigued and devouring the pages of my ereader because I want to know. Can’t wait for the next.

I thought book 1 was outstanding but book 2 bypasses even that. I cant praise up this series enough. its so fast paced that if you blink youll miss something important. The plot twists and turns so much that i thought id get whiplash from it but my god it was so worth it. After Brenna gets kidnapped and nearly strangled at the end of book 1 she has to return to Coleridge Academy to find out why? Getting help from unexpected people - The Elites Cole, Tanner, Lukas and Blake. Even if it means one of their rules for it is that she leaves Coleridge Academy completely afterwards. Secrets, Lies, Trust and lack of it are all in this book and it keeps you on your toes. Just a blindingly great book

This very well-crafted second book contains suspense, romance, and mature themes with characters that have great chemistry. These books are a slow burn story and part of a series, so far so good in building the story. Reader discretion advised. This is a reverse harem high school bully romance with a revenge plot. Good series so far

An amazing second book in the "Coleridge Academy Elites" series. Suspensful, intriguing, fast-paced, angsty, intense, full of amazing and unexpected plot twists... the list goes on. It's one of these books you read in one breath and forgo sleep to finish it. The cliffhanger? It blew my mind. I sincerely hope the next installment comes soon!

I really enjoyed ‘The Knight’, I love the depiction of Brenna, that perfect portrayal of the reckless attitude of someone with nothing left to lose, I honestly could relate all too well from certain points of my life. And the realism, that not all abused people are automatically kind damsels in distress. I love this book, this series, for touching so well on the darkness of life, but not completely drowning in it.

While this series was a bit difficult for me to get into, I’ve found that as the story progresses I become more drawn into the world that is Coleridge Academy. This series is a different spin on the high school bully trope and truly is worth a read if you’re looking for something a little more unique. Overall, The Knight kept me interested and looking forward to more from this great series!

Had I read book 1, I might have realized this series is set in modern times and not medieval, like the story seems to suggest. Not only is the book current, it involves an issue that has hit recent headlines...school bullying. Bravo, Lucy Auburn!
