Early Riser Companion is an indispensable family resource book filled with songs, rhymes, recipes and ideas for rituals and rhythms to layer into your home. It is a book for the new parent, a treasure for someone already along the parenting path, a spark of inspiration towards more growth and perspective.
I really loved parts of this; but ended up feeling that the fifth section, filled with generic ‘Internet wellness’ advice, really detracted from the beautiful picture of the day/seasons with children offered in the first four sections. Ironically I feel like the last section ended up disrupting the rhythm of the whole work. The first four parts are beautiful, and stuffed full of good ideas, and left me wanting more.
I really cherish this book and even purchased the digital copy when it came out as it has previously unreleased sections. I would love if she would do a version for older kids!!
