Saiph #4

Legacy of the Saiph

Rate this book

The titanic struggle for control of the stars reaches its bloody conclusion in the final chapter of the bestselling Saiph Series.

With their puppet race ‘The Others’ defeated, and imprisoned on a world surrounded by warships and heavily armed orbital fortresses, the ruthless regime of the Saiph are forced to face the combined might of the Commonwealth Union of Planets.

Meanwhile, the Empire of Alona has secretly grown its forces and, in a twist of fate, made an unlikely ally in its race for military supremacy which soon becomes moot when they discover themselves to be pawns in an even greater game.

And, finally, the utterly belligerent Turak. Friend to none. Potential enemy to all. Who knows what part they will play in this violent struggle for survival?

Another enjoyable episode

I like this series. However it is quite a long time between episodes. In addition this book had several glaring grammatical errors. I. E. Phased instead of fazed. Still the story is worth reading.

Not bad, but the author needs to work in his grammar. Many, many wrong words and bad punctuation. For example, battery's instead of batteries. That is, possessive case when plural was called for. My strong suspicion is that he ran a spell checker, but didn't check his grammar.

Worse, though, were the plot holes. For example, if the Commonwealth folks could detect Saiph caches on bombarded planets, why couldn't the Others do likewise?

All in all, not a bad start to a writing career.

Good ending to an amazing series

This book was the perfect ending to the series, or possibly the ending of this part of the story arc,as I'm not the author I honestly don't know but I enjoyed the read and how it ended immensely and look forward to what ever the author writes next. Well I'm on to the next book in my pile

Spoilers- just a little tooooo easy

While some level of advanced thought is in evidence, not what I would expect for those even mildly above average.

Poor use of decoys or any other ecm.... wwi quality of leadership at best.

Try harder

I really like this series! My only complaint is too much detail into the science and background of the technology in the series, if this was toned down a little it would make the book that much better. The storyline is fantastic, writing is solid, great dialog and action, overall very well done. It's a hard to put down series! I highly recommend checking it out!

Long awaited completion of an excellent series

Fast paced Military Sci Fi at its best. Loved the storyline and sub plots within. Hopefully some spin-off’s as well.
Needed better proofreading though. So many errors it got somewhat distracting.
Still, PP has a way with words for military action

Great series!

This series is a very satisfying read, more so now that it is complete. I had to wait for every book. I will have to re-read the earlier books to catch all the nuances.

Too many loose ends

Not a bad series but previous books were better. I'm hoping he left the threads about the Turak as an example to lay groundwork for other books
