A pure, undiluted insta-love monster erotica short story!
It isn't safe for a girl to walk through the woods alone.
Odette has two choices: catch her death out in the rain or spend the night in the home of a ravenous werewolf who has little control over his animal urges. Will her beauty be enough to tame the beast inside of him?
Michelle Deimos is a monster and alien romance author who frequently features eldritch creatures, charismatic characters, flawed love interests, and spice of the darker variety in her books. When she’s not busy working on her latest story, you’ll find her either dancing and singing to her favorite pop songs or reading horror and/or smut in colorful, LUSH-filled bubble baths.
If a man with a wolf head was fucking me from behind and suddenly mentioning capital-G God and reciting wedding vows, I would simply assume I was on drugs.
Also what kind of world has a woman wearing a short red dress and fishnets gathering herbs and getting lost in the forest while people are using quills and parchment to inform their capital-M Mother and capital-F Father about their sudden bestiality marriage and hopes to be pregnant after one time?
AND he legit stuck his claws inside her at one point and they came out with blood on them. FUCKING OW.

Overall: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Readability: 📖📖📖📖📖 Feels: 🦋🦋🦋🦋 Emotional Depth: 💔💔 (It’s a short story, so this is hard to establish) Sexual Tension: ⚡⚡⚡⚡ Romance: 💞💞💞💞 Sensuality: 💋💋💋💋 Sex Scene Length: 🍑🍑🍑 Steam Scale (Number of Sex Scenes): 🔥 Humor: Just a light touch Perspective: Third person perspective from the heroine’s perspective Cliffhanger: No, ends with a happy for now Epilogue: No Percentage where mains are first on page together: 18% (this is page 3 of the story) Format: read e-book for free from a newsletter sign up on the author’s website here Should I read in order? This is a stand alone short.
Basic plot: Odette needs shelter and finds herself on the steps of a vine covered towering manor.
Give this a try if you want: - Beauty and the Beast (and a bit of Big Bad Wolf from the 3 Little Pigs/Red Riding Hood) vibes - historical/fantasy setting? - beast (half human/half wolf) hero, human heroine pairing - artist hero - hero feeds the heroine - average steam – 1 full scene in a very short novella
First line: The rain poured over the thick blanket of leaves and branches in the treetops.
My thoughts: I really loved this little novella. It’s been on my TBR for awhile now and I am so happy I finally picked it up!
Beauty and the Beast vibes – our fishnet wearing heroine finds a vine covered manor in the woods while seeking shelter. Her meeting with the wolf wasn’t what I expected – I loved his respect and gentleness right off the bat.
This is a very short story, so not a ton of character depth here but just go in for the fun.
I also loved the chapter titles. I always love when this is done and have only come across it a handful of times in the past few years. I’ll definitely be picking more up from Deimos.

Full break down on what my ratings above mean here: Overall: How I felt about it everything considered! Readability: How ‘readable’ was the book? Did I fly through it? Did I have to tell myself to pick it back up repeatedly? Were any passages confusing? (I will probably score like (1) is literally unreadable due to formatting/typing errors, etc (2) There were lots of errors that made it difficult to read OR It was extremely confusing and I had to reread passages to make sense of it OR I disliked it so much I had to bribe myself to keep reading (3) I didn’t really want to keep reading and would have preferred to abandon the read and start something else OR some minor continuity issues/confusion (4) I liked it fine, maybe a minor error or 2. I was happy to pick it up when I had time. (5) I never wanted to put this down. I thought about it when I wasn’t reading it. I hid in the bathroom from my kids to read. I threw inappropriate food at my children for dinner so I could read instead.) Feels: Totally subjective to each person but did the book give me any tingles? Any butterflies? Did it rip my heart out (in a good way?) Emotional depth: How well do I feel I know the characters at the end? How much did I feel their emotions throughout the story? Sexual tension: Again, subjective, but how strong was the wanting and longing to me between the characters? A book might have strong sexual tension without a single touch. Romance: Was there romance? Did romantic things happen? This can be actions/words/thoughts of the characters and again is subjective. Sensuality: This is how the intimate scenes are written. Kisses and sexual scenes – how sensual were they? Were they on the mechanical side? Was there emotional pull tied in? Were the details explicit or flowery? These are subjective but generally (1) too short to get a good judgement (2) not all what I'm looking for - very vague or flowery prose (3) either not explicit enough or not enough emotional pull (too mechanical/physically descriptive without the emotions) (4) what I love in a scene (5) absolute perfection - perfect balance of emotional longing and explicit descriptions Sex Scene Length: How long the bedroom scenes are (generally (1) is 1-3 sentences (2) is a few paragraphs to a page-ish (3) is about average, a few pages (4) more well developed scenes, quite a few pages with descriptions (4) the majority of the book takes place in the bedroom. This is always hard to tell for me on audio! Steam Scale: Generally, each flame is a scene. If scenes are super close together I sometimes combine them. If a scene is super short or so vague I don’t know what’s happening, I don’t count it. There’s some levels of grey but generally the number of flames is how many sex scenes there are (I max out at 5 so I’ll put a + after if there’s more than that)
Woah my fairytale retllomg of red robbin hood gone exotic. This is sweet and good. If you are into streamy romance then pick this book its only 15 minute read.

was a short fairy tale themed story.
this book was weird.
she comes across and half man half wolf and was not scared, goes in side his house and allows him to strip her naked. sex between a human woman and a half wolf man is not really that sexy, there could be no kissing if he had a wolf face. reading this it refers to his hands fingers then his claws. which does he have? I did not like reading "occasionally dipping the tips of his claws inside her" that just sound painful.
She talks about if they sleep together no women would want him afterwards. Why? women don't reject men for not being virgins so not sure what that is about.
They talk about getting married and they say vows said to each other as a real binding marriage.
The whole story spans only a few hours the meet have sex and then be married is way too fast.
I stumbled upon this book on a Bookfunnel giveaway yesterday and was immediately attracted by its cover.I am not a fan of erotica to tell the truth, but I like romances and most importantly well written books.Even though this is a very fast read(it is only 3 chapters long-binge read it while taking a break from studying),"Beast" reveals the author's talent at writing. The writing is truly gorgeous in this book and I was mesmerized by it.It has such an elegant touch on it.The story yet simple was very engaging.I really liked the fairytale theme of the book and in my opinion the author has successfully replicated the feeling that the classic fairytales have.It truly felt like reading a fairytale for adults. As for Odette and Arsene,I found them both charming and likeable.
The story is very short and I believe it would be really good with more of the story. Just when it started to get interesting in the story it ended. I like these kinds of stories so i enjoyed reading it. It is my first book from this author.
This is a voluntary review of a copy I received through bookfunnel
I am all for weird, kinky, and taboo, but this short was not for me. I hate not being able to find something positive about a book but I didn’t like anything. I didn’t like the writing, storyline, or characters. A beast can’t have paws and hands. When Odette sensuously sucks the beast’s finger or claw (can’t remember what it was referred to in this scenario), all I kept thinking is the back of her throat is going to get cut up and she’s sucking on a mouth full of fur. They we’re exchanging sacred wedding vows while they were having sex 😳
I gave it two star because I did finish and even though I didn’t like it someone put their heart into this story.
This short story was a quick and fun read. I liked the mix of modern and pre-electricity items and a cottage in the woods. The Beast is nice to Odette from the beginning, so this isn't the same old Beauty and the Beast story. This is a case of love at first sight. Or a case of love at first read.

This was a very different take on the traditional fairy tail. It was a short read. Too short. I would have enjoyed more to this story. It was listed as erotic, but, it my opinion, it just hinted at it. This story would have been better with more. But what was written, was a good start.
After reading some of the reviews, I read this for a laugh and got it. This is supposed to be an erotic play on little red riding hood, keep that in mind. Odette gets lost in the woods during a rainstorm and ends up at the house of...not granny, the wolf. He takes her in and right off the bat, she is willing to let him take her wet clothes off, when she can't even look him in the face!?! He brings tea and they sit by the fire drinking. How is he drinking from a cup with a maw!?! He warns her that he is the monster everyone fears. He takes her to her room and gives her a key to lock the door, from him. Of course you know what happens.... it from the three little pigs....he comes banging on the door in the middle of the night, demanding to be let in. He smells her trying to get off. She lets him in. Even as he gains control of himself, she sets out to seduce him. Now who is the wolf and who is the lamb. Wow, he took her virginity with his claws. Yeah, that is going to Really hurt. That marriage ceremony while screwing was....inventive. It includes having a baby every nine months. Omg!! I can't believe it took two people to write this....
Got this book in a Bookfunnel giveaway and I have to be honest I downloaded it solely because I felt intriguingly by the cover... I know we shouldn’t judge a book by its cover, but I do! I mean it’s the first thing you see and a good cover is what it’s going to make me read the synopsis and decided if I want it or not...
So, I decided to give it a try and since it was such a short read I did it before going to bed.
The story is good! Bare in mind that is a erotic short romance story... and but short I mean minuscule! It seems more like the prequel to a book than a book in itself! I wish the author would had develop the story more, gave the characters more depth, more background story! I mean, she still could. The idea is here and can be developed into something greater further in. The only beef I had with this (besides it’s length) was the Part where the wed while they’re having sex... which is so weird... it threw me off a little . Still a reading I would recommend.
This book is a super short, fast take on a mixture of Red Riding Hood and Beauty and the Beast. It starts with Odette getting lost in the woods when it starts to rain. As she is running from strange noises she stumbles upon a castle like building in the middle of the forest. She tries to raise someone but eventually curls up on the stoop next to the door wrapped in her red cape and falls asleep. Arsene, the beast/wolf finds her there and invites her in to get warm. He is drawn to her because she didn't just barge in and make herself at home while he was away. Odette is drawn to Arsene and his half wolf/half man form because of how he takes care of her. The rest of the book is about him warning her away and their explosive attraction. This was a very quick and slightly strange book for me.
I voluntarily read and reviewed a free copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
If you are feeling peckish and want something to read on your lunch break, here is your snack. Klara Raškaj has a naughty retelling of Beauty and the Beast, and it's sweet and sexy.
When Odette finds herself at the doors of a reclusive mansion, she waits outside in the rain instead of letting herself in, and that is all the manimal of the house needs to see to know she is different from other lost wanderers.
Really what Raškaj has you wondering is if Beauty has an animal side to her that speaks to the beast and if rather than taming her man what the couple needed was to be set free.
Beast is a naughty retelling that you can read in under thirty minutes. Bring a tall glass of iced tea and a fan because it's steamy.
The writing got on my nerves; there are so, so many strange word choices in this tiny book. Odette's creamy porcelain skin crawled? Her lips began to shudder? Light peered through the windows? Pattering of the rain's downpour? I can't get through this, even with a promise of some ridiculous smut.

This has the potential to be much better; definitely a decent start to a story. A mashup of Little Red Riding Hood meets Beast from Beauty and the Beast. Fleshed out to about twice its length, building up their relationship and I know I would have liked this so much more.
Odette's story is a wonderful tale of meeting werewolf and dealing with the fallout. I loved this story and would recommend it to everyone who loves fairy tales as well as stories about shape shifters. A wonderfully gifted young author, I will be looking for more from Klara
