With their house burned to the ground, the Bronsons accept Jeff and Emily's invitation to travel to a farm in Central California where they can start over and make a life for themselves. Joining them on the seven hundred mile journey are Jeff and Emily, Chris and his family, as well as Derrick. But the journey won't be easy--not with survivors of the pandemic starving and desperate.
With danger lurking around every bend, the Bronsons and the rest of their group will have to dig deep to find a way to make it to their destination unscathed. Good thing they are willing to do whatever it takes to survive.
Christine loves to read, but also loves to write suspenseful stories. She enjoys camping and hiking with her family and watching movies. Check out her website: christinekersey.com
Listened to this on youtube, so shouldnt be too harsh on the author... Thing is though that these books are really reflecting the current state of the US politics from conservative point of view and it is one whole fan service for guns. Always indicating that the other people wont hit with guns and the good guys win. The events are also rather repetitive. It's also very typical that the author is against socialism, but then state the group will have to depend on each other.
Since their house has been burnt down and gangsters have moved into the neighborhood, Matt and and his family decide to accept an invitation to move to CA to live with Emily's Aunt and Uncle. It is a 700 hundred mile trip, and they are sure to meet both good and bad people along the way. Will they be able to get there without losing any members of their party?
This story continues the story of Matt and Jessica, their family and friends as they try to make it to someplace safe now that the flu has wiped out a lot of people. It was hard to put down! Looking forward to the next installment of this series.
SO good! This is a non-stop action packed story. Plus it's a believable reality. Real people figuring out real possible situations of survival in a fallen state of life.
While I'm a sucker for the dystopia genre, I typically love magical/fantasy/other worldly elements. To be honest, other than this being a dystopian novel, I'm not sure what made me read a few pages. Whatever it was, I'm so very glad I did!!
We were raised to be practical, make wise decisions, and always be prepared. As I was reading it was as if the author had listened in on various conversations my family and I have had over the years about this very situation.
As an avid reader, this series is easy to read/follow. I started the series yesterday after and finished book #3 just now. While I am a fast reader, the brevity of the chapters and novels as a whole made this very obtainable. It also helps that I am a teacher therefore I am off for the summer and staying up way past my bedtime! I appreciate that as the perspective/narrator changes with each chapter, I do not have to relive the same events through different eyes - the story picks-up where the previous person left off. This makes reading just "one more chapter" that much more enticing!
Great book! This is book 2 in the Pandemic series and is was a great read! I couldn’t put it down. It continues the saga of the Bronson family as they travel to find a safe haven after having to leave their home due to a Pandemic and the troubles they encounter from it. It really hits home with what is going on in the world today. I can’t wait to read book 3!
Book 2 in the Pandemic series Forced Exodus was just awesome. Nonstop action, great storyline and characters you love. Can’t wait to get started on book 3. I love the family vibe you get from these strangers to friends. You can’t help but cheer them on with the way they have each other’s backs. Read this series, you won’t regret it!!
I Should of not picked up this book, the first was not that good, but this was worse. The group faced a few threats, but came out completely fine with little to no impact on the story itself. The women in the book came off as very weak and did nothing but hinder the groups progress while the men did all the work to protect the poor woman.
The Family road trip from hell. Some of my issues are the author seemed to write problems specifically placed there as a hurdle for the characters. It doesn't seem like a living breathing world. A lot of bad guys invest time and energy on highway roadblocks and attacks without much to gain besides attacking our ensemble crew
Definitely a five-star book it was brilliant from start to finish. There are a few characters and I love them all I got to know them better in this book. It's not a full-on fast-paced but the author doesn't hang about there is always something going on. Forced Exodus is worth a read and I recommend it.
Well written and keeps the reader engrossed with the ongoing story. Looking forward with delight to her next book. Hang in there and always continue to read. Your brain will love you for it.
This is one scary book. More so because everything in it could happen. Good people at the mercy of bad ones in a lawless society is a nightmare. One that I hope stays in the books. I'd never want to go through what these characters face.
It appears that this world has quite a few angry and selfish people. I hope reality is kinder. Matt’s biggest problem is controlling his anger. If I were in his shoes, I would too.
The story line was just as amazing as the first 2 books. Buuuutttt, it was like they stopped using an editor in this book. Multiple times of names getting mixed up, blatant incorrect spelling, and incorrect grammar. Made it seem like the book was published cheaply.
Another great book by Christine Kersey. I loved this book and all the characters in this series. I can’t wait to read next book in series. I would recommend this book and all Christine’s books.
Book 2. Read book in 1 day. So good. They made it to California but what dangers will they encounter in the next book?? Even people that are not family.... Become one. Will start reading book 3 right now!!
Oh wow. Are you in for a treat. This book is a brilliant follow on from the first. Holding their own trying to get somewhere safe. Gun fights, thieves, all out to take what they want. Read to find out how are group do against them and how.
Glad this one ended on a high note. They have a good group and have reached their destination. But the dangers are getting worse daily. cant wait for the next one!
Not nearly as good as the first. Constant whiny Jessica needing to be comforted, constant situations that they come out of unscathed. Really not good writing. But I will probably listen to #3.
I flew through this book and already started book 3. Although Matt can be an idiot with his decisions, the team as a whole always comes together at the right time! Great read!
