In this chapter we learn abit about the back story of the bloke calling himself the Shogun, it seems that he really is not the Shogan, no more than a man you claimed the title Shogun as chaos and destruction riddled the land. In my opinion the Shogun is a bit of an idiot, keeping Byonin on chains in order for his own purpose!!!!!! to make matter worse a band of robbers, bandits now demand the location of the Island (most likely with the idea of raiding and looting the Island), from a captive Islander dangling on a chain over a group of Byonin. Excellent artwork throughout the chapter, really enjoying the story, only downside lots of adverts to the rear of the comic, but this seems standard practice.
The Governor’s tyranny looms larger than ever, with his soldiers invading, interrogating, and manipulating their way toward dominance. Issue #5 sets the tone with chilling clarity: “... or you can tell us where your pretty little ISLAND is.” The invaders’ disregard for the community’s dignity and autonomy becomes the crucible in which Hana and Kenichi must forge their next moves.
