Family, friends, food, a glass of bubbly and, of course, a good book make me smile. I love writing emotional stories about love, loss, betrayal, and family, that explore how complex and yet beautiful love can be. I also like to write romantic comedy, letting the characters have a bit of flirty fun too! I believe in following your dreams and working hard towards them, which led me to Harper Impulse (Harper Collins) and a publishing deal (woop!) after many years of writing. Stunning Northumberland is my home – sandy beaches, castles and gorgeous countryside that have inspired my writing.

It is so good to be back amongst the Pudding Pantry crew. It felt like I was coming home, as I got to catch up with all the familiar characters and see the next instalment in their lives.

And Rachel is getting married, or at least she hopes to be, but it soon becomes apparent things aren't quite as smooth sailing in the relationship with Tom, as it first appears. So throughout there is a will they, won't they walk down the aisle thread.

I loved Rachel's hen party in Oban, sounded like a great time, and plenty of bubbles. And wow Rachel's wedding dress and just how that comes about is enough to bring a smile to the grumpiest of faces!

As you would expect from the Pudding Pantry, there is a wonderful array of sweet treats to tantalise your taste buds, and have you salivating into your kindle.

Best friend Eve is back too, complete with all of her clever crafting ideas, and generally being very creative. However things aren't completely right with her marriage, but will she give into temptation.

And little Maisie is adorable as ever, and there are some really touching moments with her, as she realises there is more to her mum getting married than just the big day!

Watching the village come together for the wedding of the year, had me grinning, and I really enjoyed some of the surprises towards the end that I can't mention as although not major spoilers, would be a shame to spoil if you see what I mean.

Actually all my favourite bits are so far into the book that I can't say too much other than this is an incredibly enjoyable book, a great addition to the series, and I am very curious as to whether we will get another Pudding Pantry book, or failing that what else this always entertaining author will have up her sleeve next.

Thank you to One More Chapter and Netgalley for this copy which I have reviewed honestly and voluntarily.

I’ve loved this series and I certainly wasn’t let down with this book at all it’s full of drama romance weddings and friendship and leaving the past behind. You really think you are there with the characters and the setting is so good. A perfect book to curl up and read and dream of summers.
Rachel has her little pantry she runs and it’s going well she’s settled with Tom and getting ready to marry him. Problem is wedding plans don’t always go easy and with a lot of stress things can go wrong. Tom is still dealing with his ex as she wants more money so he’s worried he’s got to sell more land. Then he thinks once he and Rachel are married they will move in with him but she didn’t think that so will they solve this. Also Rachel’s daughter Maisie wants her dad to be at the wedding to see her in her beautiful dress but how will Tom take to this. Also Rachel’s best friend seems to be falling for someone other than her husband and she shares a kiss with him but the rumour is that Rachel has kissed her ex so how will Tom take this does he trust her or not so will the wonderful wedding go ahead and will everyone be happy or not.

Third time visiting the Pudding Pantry and we’re joining the characters as they prepare for the event we’ve all been waiting for...the wedding of Tom and Rachel.
Nerves aflutter as we draw closer to this event, and having watched their journey so far we’re invested in them having a successful outcome. Of course, things don’t go quite as smoothly as we’d hope.
Alongside the standard pre-wedding jitters there’s a number of situations taking place that seem destined to cause chaos. There’s exes crawling out of the woodwork and trying to unsettle things, village gossip causing trouble and a malicious social media campaign. Throughout, we’re hoping they’ll resolve matters (and fairly sure they will) but it comes close!

My Recommendation
With grateful thanks to netgalley for an early copy in return for an honest review.
What an utterly beautifully crafted novel.
Having read the other 2 in the series I couldn't wait to find out how Rachel and Tom were getting on,the course of true love never runs smoothly and on this last journey was very much that.
I laughed and cried held my breath at times wondering would all be okay but in true Caroline Roberts fashion its was just totally captivating.
I have nothing but praise for this OUTSTANDING series and can highly recommend.

Having read most of Caroline's books I was delighted to receive an early copy thanks to Harper Collins UK and Netgalley in exchange for a review.

What can I say, it was so lovely to be back at Primrose Farm and The Pudding Pantry and in the company of the Swinton family. I would love to be able to visit the Pudding Pantry for afternoon tea, and I'd definitely sign up for the Pudding Club (I suspect I'd have to be rolled out again with all the delights on offer). This is the third in the Pudding Pantry series, but could probably be read as a standalone book (I'd have to read them all though, and in the right order!).

If you're after a gentle summery story then this is the book for you. Loved it.

Great third instalment of the Pudding Pantry. Really enjoyable with an emotional ending. I was moved to tears several times in the last few chapters! Heart warming and engaging. Great to meet old characters and new. I hope this isn’t the end!

Thank you Netgalley.

Miscommunication issues and Rachel annoyed me a few times. The first book was definitely the best! Although the third one was better than the second.

This was another great book in the Pudding Pantry Series from Caroline Roberts.

In this one Rachel is getting married and it starts with the hen party and all the preparations for the wedding. There were lot's of twists and turns in the story that threw the wedding into chaos. There were also some small separate stories alongside Rachel's as we also get Rachel's best friend POV thrown in and the turmoil that she is dealing with too. I wasn't sure about this to begin with but it does all also tie in with Rachel's story towards the end so that it does add something to the story.

This has been a fab series which I have enjoyed reading and once again this has some lovely sounding recipes throughout that I will have a go at cooking.

Overall this was a fab, light hearted fun read that I have really enjoyed.

Thank you Netgalley for my ARC

As usual in my reviews, I will not rehash the plot - there are plenty of other reviews like that out there if that's what you are looking for (but why bother to read a book if someone's already told you exactly what happens??)

I've read and enjoyed the previous two books in the "Pudding Pantry" series, and so felt cosily at home revisiting Primrose Farm and environs, and meeting the cast of familiar characters again. The book can be read as a standalone though, as there is enough detail to flesh out the characters and their various backgrounds.

We left Rachel and Tom deciding to get married at the end of the last book, so it will come as no surprise to learn that this latest novel has plenty of wedding preparation activities going on. Rachel's hen "do" sounds fun, and there's lots of wedding planning going on too - well enough described for us to picture the scene.

As in the other two books, there are plenty of descriptive scenes involving tasty morsels to tempt the tastebuds - so much so that I can almost feel myself putting on weight in anticpation! A nice touch is the inclusion of recipes for some of the said treats - I haven't tried them out so far, but might give a couple of them a go over the summer months.

I'm sure there will be other books in this series, and look forward to catching up on future developments!

This is an ideal book to lift the spirits, so was an enjoyable read during a recent spell of bad weather!

My thanks to NetGalley and the publishers for an ARC. All opinions my own.

The characters are all very likeable, and the story in this book is really eventful, so much is happing and it's even a bit stressful as you really don't know how this going to end! It's a page-turner! Caroline Roberts is a really good author, I really love her writing style! I cannot wait to see what will be her next book!!!!

I have been a fan of Caroline’s work for a while now. I love the way in which she writes light hearted, fun and feel good stories. I have loved the ‘Pudding Pantry’ series. The latest instalment of the ‘Pudding Pantry’ series is called ‘Summer At Rachel’s Pudding Pantry’ and it was released on 23rd July 2020. It’s another corker of a read from Caroline, which I thoroughly enjoyed but more about that in a bit.

I absolutely love the character of Rachel and I warmed to her from the start. In fact, it felt like I had reunited with an old friend in Rachel. As the story begins in this book, Rachel is preparing to marry her boyfriend and next door neighbour, Tom. They make a really lovely couple. Rachel is a single mother and she lives with her daughter and her mother at a farm. Life hasn’t been easy for Rachel but she has rolled her sleeves up, dusted herself down and made the best of things. She runs the ‘Pudding Pantry’ which has been a huge success. The ‘Pudding Pantry’ is my idea of heaven….and hell. Heaven because I have a sweet tooth and hell because I am currently trying to lose weight. Not a good combination. Anyway back to Rachel. Rachel is kind, caring, compassionate, feisty, determined, tenacious, a doting mother and ever so slightly stubborn on occasion. I kept everything crossed that her and Tom would get the happy ever after ending that they so deserved. What happens? Well guess what you are just going to have to read the book for yourselves to find out as I am not going to tell you.

Oh my goodness, Caroline has done it again and written one hell of a book. It took me no time at all to get into this story. In fact the title of the book was enough to grab my attention, the synopsis drew me in and the story between the covers of the book was the icing on the cake as it were. I picked this book up at the right time for me. I was feeling a bit low and in need of a distraction- well ‘Summer At Rachel’s Pudding Pantry’ was certainly a distraction and then some. In fact reading this book felt like I was on the receiving end of a mahoosive hug. I fell under this book’s spell when I first picked the book up and the spell lasted until I read the last word on the last page. This was one of those books that you are desperate to finish because you need to know how the story ends but at the same time, you are enjoying the story, the characters and the author’s writing style so much that you just don’t want the book to end. That’s how I felt at any rate. By the time I got to the end of this book I had a happy smile on my face but at the same time I felt quite sad because it meant that I had to say goodbye to Rachel, Tom and the other characters.

‘Summer At Rachel’s Pudding Pantry’ is superbly written but then I have thought that to be true of all of Caroline’s books. In fact the only problem I have with Caroline’s books is that I end up feeling hungry, practically drooling and craving all the delicious sounding desserts and chocolate. Not good for somebody supposedly on a diet. Lol. Caroline has one of those easy going writing styles that is easy to get used to and easy to get along with. In fact reading one of her books feels more like a chat between friends rather than an actual book. I hope that makes sense. Caroline has one of those writing styles that grabs the reader’s attention and draws you into the story. In fact I felt as though I was part of the story myself, which is all down to Caroline’s superb writing and storytelling.

In short, I thoroughly enjoyed reading ‘Summer At Rachel’s Pudding Pantry’ and I will definitely be recommending this book to other readers. I will certainly be reading more of Caroline’s work in the future. The score on the Ginger Book Geek board is a very well deserved 5* out of 5*.

There's something about the lovely Pudding Pantry series that I just really enjoy. It's warm, cosy and as saccharine as all the cakes and sweet treats everyone is constantly making. But it's also wholesome, and the combination of farming community and baking business is just one that really appeals to me.

It's summer at Primrose Farm and Rachel and Tom's wedding is only weeks away. There's still lots to organise but with plenty of hands on deck, it should be a piece of cake, right ...?

I really like how this series has come together - it's been a lovely escape to follow pragmatic and stubborn Rachel in coping with the loss of her Dad, maintaining the farm, setting up the Pudding Pantry business, raising her daughter with the support of her mum and finding romance in the farm next door.

The sugary sweet conversations (everything is "bless" or "I'll put the kettle on" or little girls talking about cake and unicorns and dresses) is generally quite well balanced with stresses and responsibilities of farming or of running a business that depends on customer satisfaction. If you want wholesome in a beautiful Northumberland setting, then that's exactly what you get.

I thought I would like the addition of a second voice in this story - it's rare that the best friend gets to play anything but a supporting role, so it was good to join Eve's struggle (as well as enjoying her crafting business), rather than it all just being on Rachel. However, ultimately this still ended up playing an antagonist/supporting role to the main character, which was a little disappointing - although good to have a roving eye problem in this kind of cosy romance.

The whole plot unfolds gradually and steadily in such a calmly written way - you know what you've come from, and you trust the author to deliver.

3.5 stars - but I have to round down to 3.

I received an ARC of this book from NetGalley and the publisher in exchange for an honest review.

This is the third book in the Rachel’s Pudding Pantry series and having read the first two books I was so excited to read Summer at Rachel’s Pudding Pantry - which is based at their home, Primrose Farm. I absolutely love the characters; they stay with you and you get so involved in their lives - I can't wait to hear what happens next!

Over the past few years, Rachel and her family have been through some very tough and tragic times. Summer at Rachel’s Pudding Pantry shows us how well the Pudding Pantry has continued to thrive through the hard work and determination of Rachel and her Mum (and the adorable Maisy!), despite some people trying to ruin everything they have done to build up their business and make it the success it is today. We learnt a lot more about Rachel's best friend Eve and I feel we know her so much better now which is lovely. Eve helped create a wonderful hen do for Rachel which sounded incredible! And she also made Rachel's wedding dress which was so very special and a wonderful surprise for Rachel.

Rachel and Tom have been key characters throughout the books and in this book, they have their amazing wedding and an absolutely beautiful day it was too. I cannot wait to see what the future holds for them as Mr and Mrs!

I loved all the mouth-watering recipes and look forward to trying some of them out! Such a lovely inclusion in the book.

Caroline Roberts has such a lovely warm writing style that draws you straight into the storyline - I did not want the story to end and I am very much hoping that there is going to be a book four, and five and six! I would love to visit Rachel’s Pudding Pantry at Primrose Farm!

An absolutely five star read, which will leave you smiling, and off to the kitchen to make up some of the delicious recipes included!

Summer At Rachel’s Pudding Pantry by Caroline Roberts is the most delightful contemporary novel that will leave you smiling and feeling good. This was my third visit to the pudding pantry and I have loved all my visits. It was so good to catch up with old friends.
All the characters are wonderfully drawn. The reader feels welcomed into the story as we, along with the characters, bond over food. Once more Caroline Roberts has included recipes for you to salivate over and have a go yourself.
Summer is in full swing as the whole community looks forward to Rachel and Tom’s wedding. With comprehensive descriptions from Caroline Roberts we can ‘see’ the preparations.
There is a wonderful community atmosphere. If there is a crisis everyone pulls together. The flip side is gossip and the rumour mill spread like wild fire. Your business is never your own.
Relationships are not all hearts and flowers, they take work. We witness wobbles between couples as life intrudes. They need to work together to defeat the world. Marriages, like gardens, need love and care to flourish. We cannot expect them to last if we put zero effort in.
The novel is tinged with sadness as Rachel’s father cannot be there (no spoiler’s here, he departed before book one opened). “Grief and loss didn’t just disappear at happier times.” Even in times of celebration, we remember the empty seat. The reader ‘feels’ the conflicting emotions of happiness tinged with sadness.
I adore all Caroline Roberts books. If you have never picked one up, you are missing out. Summer At Rachel’s Pudding Pantry is just the ticket to brighten up any day.
I received this book for free. A favourable review was not required and all views expressed are my own.

This review was originally posted on Star Crossed Reviews I received this book for free from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review. Thank you to One More Chapter for my copy of this book via NetGalley. I loved the first two books in this series so when Caroline asked if I would take part in this tour I jumped at the chance!

We return to the Pudding Pantry in the run up to Rachel and Tom's wedding. These two are really put through the wringer in this one. There are lots of ups and downs throughout the book and I really felt for these two. It just seemed like they couldn't catch a break at times.

This book also had some chapters from Eve's POV which I really enjoyed. It's always interesting to see another POV and Eve has a lot going on in this book too.

Caroline does an amazing job of setting the scenery for this book. Set in a lovely village in Northumberland I'd defiantly love to visit. If only I could visit the Pudding Pantry too! I also loved the log cabin the girls visit too! I do love a cabin with a hot tub!

The book is of course also filled with lots of delightful recipes for you to try out. I'm pretty tempted to try the cheesecake myself! It sounds gorgeous! I also loved the little nod to Caroline's other books with the castle and the chocolate shop.

This book is a perfect read full of sweet treats and escapism romance. It's a great summery read!

I loved the beginning scenes, the hen do was lovely. I also loved the wedding scenes, they were romantic and heart warming. A great pay off for the 3 books it’s taken for Rachel and Tom to finally get married. I very much enjoyed returning to the farm, and to the characters I like, the community atmosphere of the village.

However, the rest of the book really wasn’t my cup of tea. It was far too stressful to read. There were too many separate strands of things going wrong. I really hated the malicious posting of negative reviews, it was so nasty. I felt like the middle parts of the book didn’t hang together very well, with so many different things going on, and many of them were sorted out really easily. It just felt like there wasn’t an overarching plot. But perhaps that is far more realistic! I also find Rachel and Tom’s inability to talk properly to one another slightly frustrating, as we’re now on the third book. I think they’re improving, gradually. Again, more like real life, I suppose.

I’d definitely recommend this book to anyone who enjoyed the previous two, it definitely carries on in the same spirit. And the wedding is very romantic. I would recommend starting with book one, if you’re new to the series.

I was given a free copy of this book, my opinions are my own.

In this final instalment of the series, Rachel is preparing to marry fellow farmer Tom, only between trying to get everything perfect and ready in time despite dress worries and money anxieties, she discovers Tom talking about maybe making a mistake in marrying again!m

Just what Rachel didn't need to hear right now especially as they disagreed on future living arrangements as well and suddenly the happy wedding bubble is turning sour, she also has to help friend Eve as she contemplates her own love life as she falls for someone else while still married but feeling unloved and alone in their marriage too, there's plenty of drama to keep you reading on, will they or won't they get married? Will Eve fall for the other man?

I'm definitely not going to spoil the end of this series, I have loved the characters, concept and been immersed into the world of the characters lives since Chapter one of book one, Caroline is a fabulous author I discovered from this series and I really do encourage you to read her works and if you can, bake some of the treats that she shares recipes for i assure you they are delicious!

Many thanks to the publishers for allowing me to review this book for them!

First of all, I need to say what a gorgeous cover this book has - I know I only have a digital proof copy at the moment but I'm looking forward to getting a paperback copy of this book when it is published in July 2020.

Thank you to One More Chapter at Harper Collins for approving my NetGalley request to read and review. I enjoyed the first two Pudding Pantry books and was eager to find out what happened next for Rachel, Maisy, Jill, Ruth and the friends of Primrose Farm in the Cheviot Hills.

At the start of the book, wedding plans are in preparation for Rachel and Tom's big day. As the current pandemic has forced the postponement of many weddings in 2020, it felt even more special to be able to read this.

Alongside romance, puddings, farm life, desserts, community spirit, children, cake, the story also covers issues with ex partners, missing loved ones and recognising that the grass isn't always greener on the other side. I loved being back at Primrose Farm and would like to thank Caroline Roberts for giving me a wonderful escape on a wet and windy lockdown bank holiday Saturday.

A delicious, delightful story and a much need uplifting read, plus a recipe book (recipes are included in all three Pudding Pantry books).

Returning to the Pudding Parlour was like visiting family and catching up with them with the added bonus of delicious cakes and puddings thrown in (okay so couldn’t actually eat them but at least I didn’t have to watch my waistline!).
This book, the third in the Pudding Parlour series, follows the lead up to Rachel and Tom’s wedding and all the problems and misunderstandings that happen before the big day.
I liked the fact that although Rachel and Tom were the main focus of the story we got to know more about Eve, Rachel’s best friend and the issues that she is facing.
The recipes are a lovely addition to the Pudding Parlour books (which can be read as standalone books if you wish but they are so good they are all worth reading) and I’m looking forward to making the tiramisu soon.
This book made me laugh, cry, feel frustrated and feel very hungry and I thought it was a wonderful read which I would highly recommend.
Thank you to Harper Collins UK, One More Chapter via NetGalley for the opportunity to read and review this book in exchange for an honest review, which is completely my own.

After reading the other two Pudding Pantry books, at the very beginning of 2020, it has taken me quite a while to get my hands on a copy of the third instalment, and what a joyous read it was too.

Rachel is getting married, to Tom, her childhood friend and neighbouring farmer, but it seems that drama isn't too far away, as a face from the past seems to be intent on stirring up trouble.

If you've read the first two books you will instantly recognise a lot of the characters.

Rachel's best friend Eve is back, with all her crafting and creations, and it is she who makes - yes makes- Rachel's wedding dress, but all is not as it should be with Eve, things aren't quite right with her own marriage just now, could she really be tempted elsewhere ?

As always the Village of Kirkton pulls together, to make sure Rachel and Tom get a wedding day to remember, you can really feel the sense of community spirit, jumping off the pages, as you read them.

I would really love to think that there could be another Pudding Pantry book, which may just go some way to telling you how much I have enjoyed them all.

Northumberland is one of my favourite places, and this series captures the essence of it. The third book in the popular Pudding Pantry series, it combines adversity, community spirit and romance in a heartwarming and uplifting way.

Rachel is off on her hen weekend before her Summer wedding to neighbouring farmer Tom. Their romance fraught with difficulties had a slow start, but love grew, and now they deserve their happy ever after. This story features a charmingly authentic cast of characters who want Rachel's day to be memorable. Like all weddings, it's full of dramas, and last-minute nerves, some caused by external interference others a result of an internal struggle.

This engaging story captures the lead up to the wedding in a relatable way. The reader empathises with Rachel as she appreciates the importance of family, friends and the power of love.

This is a family-orientated story with a sense of place that makes it a perfect escapist read.

Since I met Rachel at Primrose Farm back last year, a lot has happened in that time, but it seems that everything is now coming together and her future is looking bright.

Rachel and the farmer from next door, Tom are to be married.

Plans are afoot for the wedding and we open with Rachel heading off on her hen weekend, with her best friend Eve, and her mum, Jill.

But as the days count down to the big day, it seems that everything is not going smoothly.

Questions between Tom and Rachel are left unanswered, the pain of missing her father gets to Rachel, her ex makes an appearance and then when the Pudding Pantry becomes the target of an online smear campaign it seems that this is not going to be a happy ever after that Rachel is looking for.

Of course it is all resolved with some interesting asides along the way, the wonderful creation of the dress, Eve's marital problems and of course all the delightfully delicious puddings and cakes which are the real focus of the Pudding Pantry.

This is a great conclusion to a series of books which really brings everything together and sees a future ahead for Rachel and Tom. her mum Jill after the tragic death of her husband, Rachel's father which brought Rachel back to Primrose farm in the beginning.

You need to read the previous two novels in this series, to get a real sense of time and place and how we end up at the wedding of the year!

I've enjoyed my two previous visits to Primrose Farm, and was of course curious what else will happen with Tom & Rachel and the rest of the family. The two lovebirds are just about to tie the knot, and some problems arise along the way. But nothing that cannot be solved, this is a very 'cosy chick-lit' so to say. Everyone is overly polite and endearing, pet names (and I'm not talking about the animals on the farm) in every other sentence and constantly thanking someone - all that irked me a bit because it seems to outdated and most of all way overdone here. I imagined the author to be a woman way past her middle age. But according to the short bio and photo you can find online she is not.

However, I like the characters and their story, therefore I'll probably continue to read this series. I just would appreciate some freshness, some humorous quips or something here and there.

This is book three in the Pudding Pantry Series and I have enjoyed all of them, I know I am a bit late in reading this one as it is not the Summer anymore but I needed something light to read in between reading some other genres. It was the perfect pick me up, but don't read this book on an empty stomach as all the puddings and cakes will leave you feeling hungry. I love being back here with the characters, we meet up with Rachel and Tom and hear about their upcoming wedding, but is everything as rosy as it seems? you really get a little bit of everything in this book, family, friends, romance, a great bunch of characters and most importantly some delicious puddings and sweet treats. The thing I really like about the series is in every book there are recipes, so if you fancy giving one a go, you can.

This is such a gorgeous story,Having read all the books in this series and loving each and every on I just couldn't wait to get my hands on this one.

It did not disappoint.

Rachel and Tom are busy organising their wedding, with the big day quickly approaching they start running into problems and they are not sure if the wedding can take place at all.

It was lovely to be back with my favourite characters and setting. Of course it wouldn't be a pudding pantry book without all the lovely baking and recipes.

The recipe for the lemon and blueberry muffins is very yummy It was perfect washed down with a Lemon gin fizz lol! I had to make a batch half way through reading!

This is the perfect Summery read with fabulous recipes that you will want to try out!

I really enjoyed book one and two in the series. They’re super cosy reads and greatly narrated audiobooks which made them really enjoyable to listen to.

I’ve loved getting to know the characters and it was a nice culmination to end, with a wedding. But for some reason (I can’t quite put my finger on), this one just didn’t excite me. I found it a little dull at times which surprised me as I adored the setting of Rachel’s pudding pantry.

Perhaps as it had less of this content and focused entirety more on the wedding and the run up to the wedding, I feel like this was the entire personality of the book. I missed the cosiness in this one.

But they are greatly written with some wonderful characters so I’d thoroughly recommend the series.
