Clarissa Sofía is a contemporary photographer and poet. She grew up between Ibiza and London which allowed her to develop a curiosity for her surroundings. Raw simplicity is what I felt when I just opened the book, and it is between her feelings and words where all the power is found. Her poetry is not simple, there are some abstract concepts that will challenge your capacities, open your mind and accept your fault lines. But not everything is abstract, there are some concepts that may show you some raw realities of our society, feelings that probably made you cry in the past, or maybe in the present as well.
To have so much veracity in a book, represented in beautiful and powerful poems and amazing portraits, makes really valuable this book for me. It makes me believe in people like the author: people that lives and inspires you to live in a life embracing feelings and people the way they are.

This is a beautiful book that takes us on a personal journey with the author through events that the majority of us experience but don't share with the world. It's very relatable and she has a way with words that paint a picture and give you a perspective into her soul.
The photographs are raw, honest and complement the poetry. Im reading these just before going to bed to disconnect from my day and I am really enjoying immersing myself in her world.

I really enjoyed reading these poems, it is a fantastic book and well worth the read! Clarissa is a true wordsmith who celebrates life and vulnerability, gracefully unafraid to barbwire her wrist and let it fill the page, to bring comfort to the disturbed and disturb the comfortable. The photography is also stunning and adds another dimension to the book.

Fault Lines is an honest and truly inspiring series of introspective poems, accompanied by a stunning collection of self portraiture. Clarissa Sofia valiantly gives you a window into her battles with mental health and her life experiences as she journeys into adulthood. Fault lines is so beautifully presented, you can feel the care that was put into each and every page. Clarissa is an incredibly talented artist, conveying various complex struggles that young women face in the world with such ease. As the book enters its final chapter, it impassions a sense of reassurance and encouragment, highlighting the importance of self love and introspection. I very much look foward to her next collection of work.
