My life is a mess. I’ve become the loser my father expected me to be, and now I’m stuck on his ranch. The only good thing in this scenario is the foreman, Blake. I never thought a hot, older man like him would notice me, yet he sees the hidden part of me that longs for someone to care.
I wasn't sure I wanted a Daddy, but I love the way Blake takes care of me, challenges me, pushes me to be my best self. I want to make him proud. I want to keep him, even though we seem to belong in different worlds.
For far too long, I’ve let life come at me, believing myself powerless to fight for what I want. Maybe now I can use the strength Blake believes I have to give us a future together.

Audiobook Narrator: Chris Chambers: 4 Stars ⭐️ I’m a whore for this narrator but the voices used for Riley and Blake were so similar at times that I forgot whose POV I was in.
*This was included for free in the plus catalog of my Audible subscription. I said I wanted to listen to more CC and strangely the next day almost all of his books were available in Audible’s plus catalog. It was weird 🤭
I want to emphasize that the 4 stars I’m giving this book are all for the audiobook and how fucking sexy Chris Chambers sounded reading it to me. His voice is smooth like butter and it just elevates books that would normally, probably, bore me to death if I read them. This takes place on a ranch, obviously, and Blake the foreman who has worked there forever is tasked with teaching the owner’s bratty son Riley how to run the ranch. Riley’s dad was a dick so this book had a lot of hurt/comfort and tender scenes between Riley and Blake as they try not to fall for each other and fail miserably. This starts out as Blake spanking Riley to discipline him and turns into love.
I enjoyed the majority of this book and the resolution to all their issues so they could be together but fuck, the last 10% of this book was a cheesy mess. I was rolling my eyes a lot reading this but then CC would start moaning and I’d forget I had any issues with it. 😂😂😂 I know I’m rating this wayyyy too high but I legit couldn’t put it down and it’s definitely going onto my guilty fucking pleasures shelf.
So if anyone reads this and hates it, don’t blame me, blame Chris Chambers for frying my brain cells and rating this higher than it should be. 😂😂
I loved Riley and Blake. They were perfect for each other.
Would've been rating this higher if there was a little more story and a little less heat. Don't get me wrong. I like my heat but... there were chapters of it here. I mean like one time there was like four chapters in a row following the same session.
I usually try to stay away from books where the average rating is below 4, but here I saw the audio is still included in my Audible subscription, so I decided to give it a go.
And while the narration was decent , the plot… wasn’t.
I mean… you have the evil rich super-ranch-boss-dad who foists his wayward son upon his foreman to “bring him on track”.
Said foreman immediately decides upon setting his eyes upon said son (to be accurate: after seeing his “fuckable ass”) that he needs a daddy who spanks and fucks him.
And I just… couldn’t 🙄
So I did the only thing I could and dropped it relatively early at around 10%. I’ve got no interest at all seeing these two together.
While I love the formula of the spoiler city boy falling for the dominant ranch hand (Daddy), this was nothing special tbh. I'm not sure if it was the writing or because I just read this story (but better) before.
All I can say is that I skimmed a lot in the second half.
4-4.5 stars for me. Silvia has been writing age gap and/or daddy kink stories for a while now and I always, always enjoy them! Her characters always have great chemistry and a powerful connection together.
Riley has been struggling with figuring out what to do with his life. It doesn’t help that he has a lousy dad and home life. His last chance to prove himself comes when his father forces Blake, the ranch foreman, to train and educate Riley on how to run the ranch.
I thought these two were great together. Blake is just what Riley needs - someone to give order, set the rules, and help Riley find confidence within himself. They had great chemistry together and I enjoyed that the main reason for drama and secrecy was Riley’s dad - not freaking out over the age difference or their kinky scenes. I did feel like things were resolved maybe a bit...too easily and perfect for everyone, but overall I highly enjoyed this one!
Got to meet some people who could definitely use their own stories - Casey!!
I received an arc in exchange for an honest review.
This is a nice Daddy/boy story. A bit predictable but still entertaining. There was nothing I didn't love about Blake. He was kind, patient. I liked Riley too for the most part. I felt bad for him after the way his father treated him.
I'm all about an age gap and there were 17 years between these guys. A couple of times Riley's age showed but it didn't last too long.
2.5 stars. It was just okay for me. Not a lot of story to the book and a whole lot of sex. It was hot but after awhile I just wanted something more than chapter after chapter of sex. There was so much potential for some angst given the setup but there really wasn't any. I really wanted Riley's father to have more repercussions from the way he treated Riley as well.
It was an ok book. I mean...I’ve read sooooo many m/m books that after 8 years reading them, it’s getting harder and harder to find books that are “new”. They start all to sound the same and this is not a bad thing, it’s just a fact.
This one is ok. It’s hot. I like the Daddy/boy kink. The narrator is one of my top guys. I actually wish he narrated more m/m books. I like his voice.
The book was just okay. I found myself bored for half the book, unfortunately. I listened to the audio book and the dialogue and intimate moments seemed way too cheesy oftentimes, probably more so than they would have if I were actually reading. But it seems I'm not alone in that assessment. I'm familiar with the "Daddy" genre and have enjoyed it before, but again, the cheesy dialogue kind of ruined things for me and it was hard to take their relationship seriously at times.
There had potential to be a lot of angst, especially with Riley and his dad. And things did get tense at moments when his dad was bad mouthing him. But then everyone got what they wanted in the end without much fanfare. It was all a bit disappointing.
The ending was cute though and I was happy to see Blake and Riley make their relationship work out in the open and get their HEA. I did wish we had seen more of the ranch employee's reactions to them being together in public now since that was all kind of glossed over.
Loved this! This is why I love Silvia Violet! This is perfect for fans of her Love and Care series. Just in a ranch setting, and I happen to love ranch romances too. Riley and Blake were absolutely perfect for each other!
While reading I noticed that they kept mentioning their neighbors Ken and Andy a lot and wondered if I should know who they are. I double checked that this wasn’t a part of a series, and checked the blurb for any mention of other books, but there wasn’t any. At the end of the books, in some notes from the author it said, “Ken and Andy from the KC Ranch have their own story, If Wishes Were Horses.” I’ll have to read that one soon!!
Silvia Violet is one of those authors I normally always whatever they write. Ranch Daddy was no different. This was a sexy, fun and a definite must read for anyone who enjoys age gap relationship and daddy kink!
I think my biggest thing is I would’ve enjoyed even more angst — I’m terrible in that sorta way. But, this was in no way bad without that. It was enjoyable, hot and had an ending that made me swoon a little!
This was an outstanding book. I fell in love with Blake and Riley immediately. If me a Dom Daddy, that want to care for his boy any day. I love scene and bdsm were tasteful and well written. The secondary characters were well thought out and essential to the story. It was low angst and a father that gave up on his son only to be wrong in the end. I look forward to reading more in this series.
The story flowed beautifully, was easy to read, and the sex was awesome! I was actually dad to see it end! Silvia did it again! Thanks for another great story!
Reached halfway of the story, get bored and need to put it down and pick other books to read. Finally been able to finish this book. The story was dragged too long, it can be more enjoyable if it end less than 31 chapters.
I have a soft spot for mxm romances and it’s been a while since I’ve read one.Compared with daddy kink (my all time favorite trope) I asked chat for recommendations on books with those two tropes and this was one of the titles he suggested.
And let me tell you my boy did NOT disappoint!!
𝐀𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐦𝐚𝐢𝐧 𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐬: Riley and Blake
𝐑𝐢𝐥𝐞𝐲(𝟐𝟏): My sweet boy.All his life he was bullied by his father, making him feel like he’s worthless and incapable of anything. But all that is so wrong.Riley is so soft hearted and strong willed at the same time.He can do anything (as Daddy Blake likes to remind him🤭),I love him so much.
𝐁𝐥𝐚𝐤𝐞(𝟑𝟖): Daaaaady.Blake is so daddy material, taking care of his boy, encouraging him and always being there for him.Blake is also so hot and strong and able to do anything.I love how he can handle an entire ranch on his own,he totally gives off bossy daddy vibes.I love him so much too!
𝐓𝐡𝐞𝐢𝐫 𝐫𝐞𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩: So Riley’s father owns the ranch that Blake runs.Since Riley was a “brat who can’t do anything” according to his asshat of father, his father made him work on his ranch in order to let him get money or else he would’ve cut him off.So Riley started working at the ranch and sparks were flying around him and Blake however after a small accident that happened on the ranch,Riley’s father was furious and wanted Riley to get away from his property however Blake managed to convince him to let Riley stay for two months and prove him that he can learn everything on how to run a ranch. So Riley stayed and he thrived with Blake’s help.Their relationship was so adorable and the daddy x boy dynamic was beautiful!!They both felt alone but they found what they were looking for in each other.Riley needed someone to believe him, support him and ground him and Daddy Blake was the perfect person for that.Blake wanted someone to see him,be both his friend and partner and fulfill his need to nurture for someone and he found all of that in his boy,Riley.I love them so much, they’re definitely soulmates!!
𝐓𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬 𝐈 𝐝𝐢𝐝𝐧’𝐭 𝐥𝐢𝐤𝐞:
(𝟏)𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐬𝐥𝐨𝐰 𝐛𝐮𝐫𝐧/𝐡𝐨𝐰 𝐥𝐨𝐧𝐠 𝐢𝐭 𝐭𝐨𝐨𝐤 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐦 𝐭𝐨 𝐬𝐚𝐲 𝐈 𝐥𝐨𝐯𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮.The slow burn was excruciating for me.I’m not a fan of slow burns ,and considering they were hiding their relationship and finally admitted that they are in love at like 90% of the book, I’d say this specific trope of the book exhausted me.
(𝟐)𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐜𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫.No offense to the model on the cover,he’s hot asf,but it just a pet peeve for me when there are actual people on a book’s cover.
𝐎𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐥𝐥 I truly enjoyed this book.I love Blake and Riley’s love story,my boys deserve all the love in the world!
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
So...this book and I went on a journey of sorts together. I started out intrigued, moved on to head over heels loving it, and somehow plummeted into dear God why is it so cheesy I can't and my teeth hurt. Needless to say much like rom-coms, cheesy romance, not my jush.
I don't like to point out the negatives so early in a review but depending on who you are, this could be a positive. This book is not very angsty and I think it needs to be. Blake and Riley has a substantial age gap between them and Blake works for Riley's father. This could have been angsty as all hell but it's not and I think by making the decision to not play up angst and not dive deeper into the significance of a daddy/ boy relationship (even though it was properly explored don't get me wrong) it fell short for me and veered off into cheesy territory. There was drama but that only added to the cheese. The Angst at the end felt genuine though, I'll give the book that.
If you're still with me, let me go on. As I said this is a daddy book. Blake is a hot daddy and Riley is a brat who loves spankings. That is very much a plus for me and all I really needed to keep reading. Also the smut was grade A so I can't say I was unsatisfied.
No outside of the ending and the majority of Riley and Blake's relationship, this book overall was meh. It wasn't bad but fell short and in many instances it felt a little 2D. That sounds harsh, it's not meant to but I'm struggling to find a way to properly convey that this book just didn't do it for me. It didn't take me where I was expecting this book to go. And that's coming from someone who likes Silvia Violet's writing but this was far from my fav. There were too many instances where a scene would be replayed in the other characters perspective, thoughts felt repetitive, dialogue didn't feel natural at points and overall is felt kind of long which isn't good. And again, this book has a whole is not bad and I did enjoy it but there are just so many daddy books you know. I probably haven't even read half of them but I've read a lot and I know what I like. As a result, this was meh.
I do think many people will enjoy this book though. Especially if you haven't read as many daddy books as I have. It's not for novice of the genre I would say. More like you've read a few and you ready to dive a little deeper. This is worth a try. Anyways 3.5 stars because at least the smut was hot
"Ranch Daddy" is a really wonderful novel by Silvia Violet, which we read from the beginning to the end with undying interest. The author offers us a well-built, well-thought-out story, in which we find a professionally built Daddy/Boy motif, plenty of violent emotions, deep feelings, and psychological depth. Our characters have to deal not only with the challenges of everyday life, but also with those of their own hearts.
What's more, the characters created by Silvia Violet are simply fantastic and three-dimensional. Each of them has a different personality, past, dreams, plans and problems. So they are just like the readers themselves, they are real. Undoubtedly, this is one of the reasons why we immediately fall in love with them or dislike them, as the author predicted such cases. In fact, when we get to the end of the novel, we really don't want to part with them. We want to stay in their world for longer, keep track of their fate.
To sum up, "Ranch Daddy" is an intelligent novel full of emotions and feelings that really deserves our attention and love. This is undoubtedly one of the best daddy kink books I've read. I recommend it with all my heart.

To niewątpliwie jedna z lepszych książek spod znaku „Daddy kink” jakie czytałam. Polecam całym sercem.
My favorite story: Older man/younger man romance…and cowboys too! Wow…just wow! I’ve never read an M/M Daddy/Little and this one was HOT. When they give into their desires, the reader gets lots of explicit male-on-male scenes so be aware. I loved it. Blake is the 38yo, ranch foreman and now babysitter to the ranch-owner’s 21yo son who has failed at everything. I love the scene when he walks into the barn to see the jeans-clad delectable rear-end of a young man cooing to one of their horses. Being openly gay, Blake eyes this newcomer with interest. This was written so well that I could feel the sparks flying off the page. When Blake finds out that this is his new “baby” to “sit” he already knows where he would like this to go but can’t! Can it? Riley has been a disappointment to his father seemingly forever, but the reader will see that it’s because his father continues to try to mold him into his shadow. Not going to work. Riley is also gay and has secretly had a crush on the foreman who he remembers from his youth. Actually, Blake caught him with another boy when Riley was 15yo. Riley finally gets the relationship he has unknowingly craved when Blake takes him on in the Daddy/Little dynamic. Hot, Hot, Hot. Perfect ending, no pun intended ;-) If you like steamy older man/younger man stories with spankings and discipline with love, read this book. I volunteered to review an ARC through Gay Romance Reviews and it comes highly recommended if you like this story theme.
Riley is a rebellious guy and his father doesn’t trust him to run his ranch, their relationship soured after the death of Riley’s mom. Riley is waiting for his trust fund to kick in but it’s still about 10 years away and he’s burnt every bridge he’s crossed; he makes the prodigal son look good. Blake is the gay ranch foreman and he knows all Riley needs is some firm discipline and guidance so he offers to train Riley. Riley’s father agrees but he doesn’t know that Blake is using a Daddy / Son dynamic of spanking, sex, and praise to motivate Riley. Riley blossoms under Blake’s care and correction but he still gets nervous every time his father questions him about what he’s learned. Can Riley win his father’s respect and what does his future hold?
This S&M / age-gap romance had a ridiculous premise but the execution was very sweet, I liked the hot and tender relationship that Blake established with Riley—they had great chemistry together and many of the scenes were heartwarming. It’s a very straightforward and easy read, Silvia Violet makes Riley’s father a cardboard cutout villain who is easy to hate while everyone else on the ranch respects Blake and provides support to Riley. 🎧 Chris Chambers’ honeyed southern voice was P-E-R-F-E-C-T-I-O-N, he elevated a 2.5-star story to a 4-star audio—I could listen to him all day!
I loved MM and love them even more where there is an agegap in between. Blake and Riley have instant passion when they meet again Riley is an adult. Riley has had a long time crush on the man who makes him feel and gave him support. Blake has nothing but work and Riley angers him but also makes him feel. This passion is noticed by Casey a worker that becomes a supporter for them. When Blake and Riley come together the passion and scenes are intense that they cannot deny each other. They learn to grow in the relationship, but the it is found out and there is forced separation from outside forces. Blake can find anything to move forward but wants Riley with him. Riley has grown because of the love of Blake and fights against his father to get his dream and a HEA with Blake. Their reunion is sweet and I love them as partners. I want and hope for a Rusty and Casey story :)
This was a good read. A fun and sexy story, low angst and a lot sex. Daddy is used a lot but it fits with the plot. No BDSM, spanking is used for fun and discipline.
Riley is the son of a cruel, and hard riding father. He is a gentle soul that is trying to find his way. He needs direction and discipline some one to just love on him.
Blake is the foreman of the ranch. He meets all the qualities of a wet dream. He has know Riley for quite awhile. Always cared for him as a child. Now Riley is a man but screams the need for a Daddy.
Blake helps guide Riley into becoming the man he wants to be. Due to an incident on the ranch, Riley gets to prove to himself, his father and his daddy that he’s got what it takes.
I always love Daddy cowboys and ranch stories. It's such a fun environment in which to find love.
I enjoyed reading about Blake and Riley. I liked how Blake helped Riley find his confidence and gave him the strength to stand up to his father. Things were resolved a little to quickly between his father and him though. Considering how cruel his father had been and for so long, the sudden turnaround at the end and kindness rang a bit rushed and false. Another thing that wasn't the best were the over the top porn lines delivered during the sex scenes. That pulled me from the story until I sometimes had to skim the sex scenes so I wouldn't hear more bad porn.
Ranch daddy By Silvia Violet Narrator Chris Chambers Warning ⚠️ : male to male romance, daddy boy relationship.
Narrator score🎧 ; his voice is absalutly beautiful, very deep and very sturdy. And i love it. I would love to hear a bit more of a difference between the voices of Riley and Blake.
Level of steam🔥: very very very hot. A lot of sexy and hot moments.
Level of anxiety and sadness0😱😢: the story isn't a sad story, yes you do have a dad vs son relationship, but it will make you more mad than sad.
The book itself📖: the story isn't a complex one, the concept is a very hot story about a daddy and his boy. The story is fun, you have a built up and its nice. Not a wow story but a very nice one if you're looking for something hot and explosive.
fine. didn’t really feel the chemistry. the dad was needlessly mean but somehow I didn’t have much of an emotional reaction to him; he could have been dialed back a bit to a reasonable level and still unquestionably the antagonist. glad MC had personal growth arc that wasn’t just romance, even if the arcs were basically interdependent. idk I guess overall it felt like archetypes rather than characters I was invested in 🤷♀️
- the lack of commas drove me a bit crazy actually—constantly missing in every sentence structured similar to: “What are you doing Blake?” instead of “What are you doing, Blake?” and it doesn’t often affect comprehension/sentence meaning, but it was really annoying since it was so consistent
