One offer. A few fake dates. What could possibly go wrong?

All I have to do is pose as the girlfriend of London Hawks player Jake Savage. The bad boy of rugby, he has a reputation both on and off the pitch.
Neither of us are interested in a relationship, so our arrangement is perfect. We just have to go on a few dates and pretend to be into each other while we’re photographed for the tabloids.
We’re not attracted to each other, so it should be easy.
Or so I thought.

After one hot night, things change.

Now, when he kisses me, it doesn’t feel like we’re pretending anymore.

The Offer is a standalone, fake relationship sports romance novella.

The Offer is a book written by Becca Steele. If you’re a new reader of Becca’s, get ready, this book grips you from page 1. I’m an established reader of Becca Steele’s and The Offer was amazing.

The story is an enemies to lovers trope/opposites attract story. I didn’t expect the book to be short considering we’te used to long books from Becca, soo it was a welcome change.

This is Book 1 of the London Players series. In this book, we’re introduced to Jake, a famous rugby player, and Victoria, a high society rich girl. Jake is a bad boy in the view of the press, always getting into fights in his matches. He needs an attitude makeover so the press won’t badger him. In comes Victoria. Her brother introduces them with the condition that she pretends to be his girlfriend in front of the media. Not to give anything away, things get really steamy between these two.

There is a sort of enemies to lovers vibe that Becca Steele knows how to write and bring out in her books extremely well.

I really loved this book. I can’t recommend it enough. It is a dual POV which I thoroughly enjoyed.

Then again, any book written by Becca Steele is always top notch and amazing

The Offer is a story by Becca Steele where total opposites are dating for appearances only. Bad boy, hot head rugby player vs. the good girl socialite.
What they weren't expecting was actual chemistry.
Even though it was on the shorter side, Becca Steele built it up just right and delivered the steam and the chemistry.
Once I started reading, I didn't want to stop until it was over.
I first read the shorter version in the Love In The Air anthology and Becca has now added to it and gave Jake and Victoria the story they deserve.

***4,5 "More!!!" stars***

OUT NOW!!!

"I have an offer for you..."

I asked for it and I finally received it!!! And I loved it even more than before!!!
You see, back on February, Becca Steele had wrote a small novel for "Love is in the air" anthology and the first sample of Jake and Victoria was very promising and it made me crave more of these two... And yes, Becca delivered and I enjoyed the new chapters sooo much!!!

"You're a temptation I should't give in to."

This was Jake and Victoria's story...
Victoria had an overbearing mother who is pressuring her to find the right man... (as in right in her mother's eyes, of course) while she just got out of a farse of a marriage...
And Jake needs to fix his tarnished fame while he is one of the biggest names on rugby in London and he has to do something in order to not lose his spot on the team...

"My marriage was over before it had even begun."

"I was branded as rugby's bad boy, and the tabloids were out for blood."

Ethan, Victoria's brother is coming up with an offer that neither of them can deny...
They have to pretend to be a couple and Ethan is very sure that his plan will work out well, since there is not a possibility for these two completely opposity persons to be attracted to each other.
Or is it???

"How the fuck we were supposed to sell a love story that neither of us believed in?"

I enjoyed this story very much...
The first part stayed intact as before and it continued exactly from the spot that Becca left us and she bombared us with so many new informations about these two...
Nothing was easy, even though Jake and Victoria had tons of chemistry....
First of all, they were from two different worlds and they had to find their balances in order to be together...
Yep, I definitely adored the extra chapters in here and I can't wait for more of Becca!!! I just love this author and her writing stories are getting into me.

"Victoria Barrett was the kind of woman that was light years out of my league. We weren't even in the same orbit."

"He made me want things that I wasn't sure he could give me or even wanted to give me."

The Offer is a fun and enticing read- short, steamy and sweet, the perfect bite-sized diversion. Originally included in an anthology and now extended to a longer novella, we have the story of Jake, the famous naughty superstar rugby player who needs to clean up his public image, and rich girl Victoria who is desperate to evade her mother’s bougie match making attempts. On the surface, these two couldn’t be more different, but they agree to a mutually beneficial fake relationship that ends up evolving into something much more delicious. They have an undeniable chemistry full of sexual tension and flirty banter, and soon feelings merge. Overall, a fun quick read, and definitely entices me to want to read more of this series.

Star Rating : 4/5 Stars

POV : Dual

Cliffhanger : None

Hero : Jake

Heroine : Victoria

Pace of the story : Fast

Angst Rating : 5/10

Heat Rating : 6/10

Triggers Involved : None

Plot Summary :
Victoria is living a simple life until a chance encounter with a player changes her life. Jake is the complete opposite of her and there is no way those two would be good together. If only she could explain that to her body.

Things turn even more twisted when they both strike a deal to date for appearances only. What they didn't expect was their chemistry to get out of control so much.

Now everything is messed up and there is so little they can do but see how it turns out and try not to hurt each other on the way.

Overall Opinion :
This short tale was an amazing read for me! It was fast paced but still you could feel the chemistry between the main characters and that was the best part for me. I loved Jake so much. Victoria was his perfect match even though they both couldn't see it from the start.

The ending was nice and I liked this one as a contemporary romance read. I would definitely recommend it to all the becca Steelers lovers and also to the people who are looking for a fast paced sports romance read.

The Offer is a fun, steamy, and easy-to-read sports romance novella, with a well-developed plotline and well-rounded characters and it encompasses some of my favorite tropes, fake relationship, and opposites attract. I loved Victoria and Jake together; they had such amazing chemistry, and the way their fake relationship turned into something more was heart-warming. I really enjoyed their banter and teasing. A delightful quick read that I thoroughly enjoyed.

2.5 stars.

I know, I know, this was a novella, but still, the instalove/out-of-the-blue lust gave me whiplash. The pacing was off here and way too much time was spent on the build-up for fake-dating instead of Jake and Victoria actually doing it.

Then Jake was completely disinterested in Victoria and I was supposed to believe in their love story after he saw her in "new light" (aka tight training outfit *rolls eyes*) and suddenly fell in lust with her.

Didn't buy it, the chemistry just wasn't there.

“See what you do to me.”

It had been a while since I’d read the fake dating trope. Oh my! Becca Steele’s The Offer is a great date, a novella that packs a punch! Fun, fire-hot, and full of feels, this fast-pasted romance enchants and entices from beginning to end.

The Offer is the classic opposites attract story simmering in a fake dating trope. Jake is an all-alpha rugby player who loves a little trouble, and he meets his opposite of a soulmate, the stunning and sophisticated, Victoria. The society princess and the savage. He brings out her wild and she helps tame his too wild beast. Together, the hero and heroine are a fusion of fire and ice who burn, stunning and special soulmates whose story I’m glad Becca Steele told.

Full of charm and combustible heat, readers will fall hard for this heartwarming romance. What’s not to love about the hot rugby star with a huge heart and the fiery heroine who melts him?!? The Offer’s spell is one I couldn’t help but feel while reading. I was completely LOVESTRUCK!

💋💋💋💋 fire-hot and heartwarming kisses

I know this trope is one of the classic ones. Fake relationship, to save one's or the other 's a**. Sometimes the protagonists are really opposite, but you know the famous line about opposites :)
In this kind of modern fairytale, even if you already know where it goes, with them falling in love for real, it still intriguing and exciting to see the dynamic of that relationship. It's the funniest part.
And this one has some great background building which will make you enjoy it even more.
So have a great time reading The offer!

The Offer is book one in the London Players series and a short story that is featured in the Love Is In The Air anthology releasing 16th Feb.

Bad boy rugby player Jake has had one too many bad headlines. Jake is friends with Victoria’s brother and suggests a deal that will help them both out. Clean up his act and get her mother off her back.

But it’s not that easy. The rugby bad boy doesn’t trust easily so trying to break down those walls is a massive task for Victoria.

It may only be a short story but sparks fly and the sexual tension is off the charts.

Another hit from Becca Steele.

I don’t even like rugby, but Jake makes it sound so hot!

The Offer is everything I want to read in a fake-relationship-turned-real romance; an unlikely pair—rugby’s tatted bad boy and the society princess—find themselves in an arrangement made to benefit each other… until lust evokes and feelings are caught.

I can’t wait to read Alex’s story!

UPDATE...UPDATE...UPDATE!!
Becca Steele has turned 'The Offer' into a novella just for those of us that were craving MORE!! I thoroughly enjoyed getting these additional chapters. I still adore Victoria and Jake together!!
------------------------------------------------------
Becca Steele is writing ‘The Offer’ for the ‘Love Is in The Air anthology’. We are introduced to Victoria and Jake. Victoria is very prim, proper, and desperately wants her mother to get off her back. You see, her mother wants Victoria to meet a good guy and settle down. Unfortunately, Victoria isn’t down for this idea.
Jack is the rugby bad boy. His reputation precedes him as being a bad boy. When an incident happens and his professional career is at risk, Jake is being told that he needs to clean up his image. Luckily, one of his best friends, knows just the girl to help him out with his ‘offer’. What is it? Read ‘The Offer’ to find out!!
Becca Steele wrote an opposites attract short story that left me feeling fulfilled and wanting more. I am crossing my fingers for more from this couple.

⚠️UPDATED FOR EXTENDED EDITION: ⚠️
The Offer was released as its own extended standalone story apart from the Love is in the Air anthology, and it was everything I wanted for Jake and Victoria. It added more drama, more romance and more swoon-worthy moments. I was not read for the end of this story, and I definitely hope to see more of them in future London Players books!

————————————-

I loved getting another taste of the London Suits/London Players group. It can be read a standalone, but it is such a perfect compliment to the other stories in this world.

The Offer was a fun glimpse back into familiar characters that made me so happy. Jake and Victoria's story was a little unconventional, but I got totally swept away. It was well written and had me swooning for the bad boy by the end.

These characters that were introduced in the Deal, and I always had so many questions. This was a glimpse into the history and a great way to see the other characters that we know and love!

I received an ARC copy of this as part of the Love is in the Air anthology for an honest review.

This is book one of the London Players series and a short story featured in the Love Is In the Air anthology.

Jake Savage, the rugged rugby player...
Victoria, the sweet socialite...
What starts off as an mutually beneficial offer turns into something so much more than either expected. Watching Jake embrace a vulnerable side: swoon. Him and Victoria together after a verbal spat: 🔥
The Offer is a sweet and delicious treat. I was so glad to see their story extended to get more Jake and Victoria and to see the grow in them as individuals and a couple. But even with the addition, every flip of the page brought me towards an end I didn’t want.

Jake is a star rugby player whose actions off the pitch could end the career he loves on the pitch. If the only way for that to happen is to pretend to date his friend’s sister that is a sacrifice he is willing to make.

Victoria’s brief but painful marriage has ensured that she doesn’t want a man in her life however her mother disagrees. When her brother suggests pretending to date Jake it will be a win-win for both of them.

Victoria and Jake have nothing in common but their relationship with her brother so the connection between them is a complication that neither was expecting especially when it goes much deeper than the physical.

This was a short fake relationship romance book

Hmm. This book gave my literal whiplash.
Everything went from 0 to 100 really fast. This was a short read meaning everything went too fast, I felt nothing between these to characters, zero chemistry because at how fast the story rolled out. Just wasn’t for me.

I’ve been on a Becca kick and when I saw she was releasing an extended version of Victoria and Jake’s story I knew I needed it! This is a short and steamy novella that gives you a perfect feel for Becca’s writing! There are tons of passion, chemistry, and sweet moments! The Offer is a sports romance novella featuring a fake relationship between a grumpy hero and such a sweet heroine.

Y’all, Jake was hot! At first, I was worried he was all grump with no sweet side but I was wrong! He has this sweet vulnerable side that completely won me over and seeing how caring he was towards Violet made me swoon so hard. I also was really glad to see it mentioned that he sought out help for mental issues that had caused him anger issues.

Violet, oh Violet. This starts out with the abrupt ending of a relationship for Violet and I felt for her. She was struggling with her mom forcing a relationship on her and trying to get her bearings again after her breakup. The last thing you’d think she would want is a fake relationship, but it or rather Jake was the perfect person for her!

These two have so much chemistry. They never would’ve sought out each other but this fake relationship created the best pairing! And the steam is amazing too!

I really enjoyed this novella and I think it's a perfect read for anyone wanting a quick escape with a super sweet couple!

The Offer by Becca Steele is book one in the London Player series. The book is a quick read novella which focuses on the characters, Jake and Victoria. Jake is a rugby player with a bit of a short temper and is getting a lot of flak for losing said temper on the field and Victoria is a recent divorcee trying to make it on her own in a society which can often be cruel and a mother who just won’t let up.

The two are pushed together to try and help each other’s reputation. I loved the fact that it wasn’t an instant fix relationship and that Victoria held her own against the often brooding and mixed messages of Jake. There are some funny moments in the book as well as some heartfelt, sexy scenes between the two, with some added banter in to make it a good solid read.

This is definitely different from other novels I have read by Ms. Steele. But if you want to wile away a few hours with a cute and sexy read, then this is the one for you.

ARC received for a fair, honest and sometimes long review. All opinions are my own. 😊

This Novella was just what i needed after reading so Many big books. I love a big book, but like to read a short story to break it up a bit.

This is a fake relationship/ Sports romance. I was hooked from page one and read it in a few hours.

This story is about Jake the, broody bad boy PRO rugby player, who is all all over the Media about his bad temper. He’s on thin ice with the team because of it and if he doesn’t brush up his act, he’ll be kicked off the team. When a friend of a friend offers him a fake relationship with a girl he knows, that girl being his sister. Jake is all over it. What’s the worst that could happen?

Then we have Victoria, high society’s good girl, who isn’t looking for a relationship, after her marriage didn’t go to plan. When her brother comes to her with a offer of a fake relationship to help a friend of his out, she takes the offer, to get her mum off her back with dates.

It is very quick paced but amazingly written. You feel the chemistry between them coming off the pages. I loved this Novella and would highly recommend it if you’re into mega fast burn 🔥

Just like this book, this review is going to be short and sweet. This was such an amazing introduction to these characters, a little sneak peak was introduced in an anthology and has now been made into an extended version.

This is when I say I hereby introduce to you the offer, an offer that either of these characters could refuse. What started off with a business deal soon turned into lines being blurred and feelings being caught.

I fell so hard for these characters and also the secondary characters that we met throughout and to find out that they already have books out has me running off to buy them.

This fast paced book was nothing short of amazing, it had you flipping through the pages wanting to see what was going to happen next. Each page that was turned, you could feel the chemistry that these two characters had seeping through your finger tips. They both balanced each other out and gave each other things that neither either one wanted or excepted. Good things come at a time that you need them and in Jake’s case Victoria was that good thing for him.

Definitely check this book out if you love fast paced, off the charts chemistry and an amazing love story with even better secondary characters.

The Offer is a short story and the first book in the London Players series written by author Becca Steele. It was initially released within the ‘Love is in the Air’ Anthology, but it has since been revised and expanded.

The Offer tells the story of Victoria Barrett and Jake Savage, and they are as opposite as opposites can be. Jake is a professional rugby player who has a bad temper on and off the field. In danger of being kicked off the team, his friends think a fake girlfriend will help change his negative reputation. Victoria and Jake’s relationship began as a mutually beneficial arrangement, but they quickly develop real feelings for each other.

The storyline was quick-paced with lots of steam, and I read it in one sitting.

A definite add to your TBR list!

The Offer by Becca Steele is a fake relationship sports romance. This is the first book in the London Players series and can be read as a standalone. It was originally published within the Love Is In the Air anthology. This novella edition has been revised and expanded.

This is the third series of Becca's that I have read and it definitely won't be my last. She does an amazing job pulling me into the story. I couldn't help but binge the book in one sitting. I loved the chemistry between Jake and Victoria. I really enjoyed getting both of their points of view throughout the book. It really brought the story to life.

I can't wait for the next book in the series The Player to be released so I can get Alex's story. In the meantime I will need to go read the London Suits series so I can get Avery and Ethan's story and Olivia and Luke's story since they were mentioned in this book.

I would recommend this book if you love fake relationships, sport romances, or contemporary romance.

Bad boy Jake had me wicked swooning the entire book! As soon as I read the description of this book, and saw Becca Steele was the author, I was intrigued and knew I needed to read it!

Jake a hot head on and off the field needs a rescue. Victoria fresh from an awful relationship needs a change. Put these two together and holy hotness, you’ve got a great story! But wait, they are just faking it to boost their personas, or are they…you HAVE to read to find out!!! 🥳♥️

This book was so different than any other Becca Steele book I have read but in a great way. I love Becca’s writing. She easily grabs your attention from page one! Her characters no matter what book are so enjoyable to read, you feel their pain and triumphs! This is another amazing Becca Steele book, must read for sure!!!

The Offer is a sweet, quick read with plenty of steam.

I love when the fake dating and opposites attract tropes are intertwined and this one does it so well.

Jake, the rugby superstar, needs to clean up his bad boy image or risk ruining his career and Victoria needs her mother to back off and stop trying to set her up with high society men. While they couldn't be more different on paper, they agree to enter into a fake relationship which benefits them both. Obviously things don't go to plan and attraction and feelings start to get involved.

I loved Jake and Victoria together with their perfect blend of chemistry and banter. I need to go read the London Suits series now after the characters from the series make appearances in this book!

When life gets rough, diving into a book is the perfect especially when they involve some of your favorite characters. That’s what this book is for me. I absolutely adore the characters in the London Suits world!

Steele dives into to a new section of this world (London Players) by giving us a deeper dive into the one and only Mr. Bad Boy himself, Jake Savage. There are so many layers to Jake, that he never lets anyone see past his hard😉 exterior ... that is until “Tori” enters his world.

The chemistry. The longing looks. The touches. *insert squeal* it’s just perfection!

If you're looking for a good & fast read, look no further.

The Offer is a novella, with fake dating trope.
Victoria is a great blend of vulnerability and confidence. Jake is the hot rugby star with anger issues, but also has a very romantic and generous side. They have an instant connection, although Jake tries to fight it in the beginning.

Complex characters and continous action. Very engaging.

4.5⭐

Jake Savage, rugby player turned bad boy, is on a desperate mission to prove to the media and his team that he is professional and not the bad boy that he is portrayed to be. A deal is made between Jake and Victoria and time will tell if the deal works as it is supposed to.

This short story is steamy, full of chemistry and a delight to read!

I love a fake relationship and let me tell you this one was perfect! This was my first book by Becca and she now has a new fan. This novella was hot and steamy and I could not get enough of Victoria and Jake. I whipped through it because I could not put it down and I'm almost sad this isn't a full length novel because I would have loved more of these two. I loved the other characters as well and I will definitely go back to read the London Suits Series so I can get Victoria's brother Ethan and his friend Luke's stories as well. Perfectly done!

A bad boy rugby player needs a boost to hos reputation. A nice society girl need a cover to ward off her mom. The solution: a fake relationship. They are opposites so there is no chance of falling for each other, or do they think. Jake and Victoria find that they need more than fake. A cute sports novella with steam.
