The Passenger: Selected Poems 1972-2018

Rate this book
Robert Darlington studied poetry at California State University, Northridge, with Robert Deutsch, who was a close friend of Delmore Schwartz and John Berryman, two of the most accomplished American poets of their time. Darlington's poems have appeared in POEM and the San Francisco Bay Guardian, as well as on numerous internet websites. The Passenger is his first new book of poetry since the publication of Ether in 2008. Although The Passenger includes several earlier pieces, written when Darlington was in his twenties, the majority of these poems were composed after a trip to France in March 2015, following an epiphany experienced by Darlington while reading the work of Stephane Mallarme. Robert Darlington is a songwriter, singer and guitarist with the critically acclaimed band Translator. The one thing he has been doing longer than writing songs is writing poetry.
