Confused...

First let me say I love blue's books. Every one I have read. But I am just really confused as to if she used her usual editor. There were so many grammatical errors I had points in the book that were difficult to understand. I have never read a book by her with this problem. I loved the story but all the wrong words and uses of some just brought the book down. So the story gets 5 big fat stars. But because of editing issues I just couldn't give my usual 5 for her books.

It was good getting to know the characters in this book. I wish the book would have gotten further into what caused the fallout at the beginning of the book but I’ll wait for part 2. I will say this tho, this book started with a bang 😊

Another great read by this author. I felt the book was too focused on the Loz and Victoria's early life as young folks together. I wish their was more about them after they got married. The opening of the book said they were married for 10 years, which means the author could have given us a little more about them once they became a couple. I love the the story and I am looking forward to the next book in this series.

Disappointed

I rarely give poor reviews and I am a fan of Blue Saffire's work, but I really had a hard time with this one. It took me three days to finish because I kept getting annoyed. There were so many typos and poor editing that it took away from the book. I had a hard time with a 21 year old marrying a 17 year old. That was a bit much then add in the whole Lorenzo's mothers craziness...SMH.
I liked the characters overall, but the whole highschool vibe was not my cup of tea. I wish Lorenzo and Victoria were older. I was glad that they didn't hop into bed right away and there wasn't a surprise pregnancy. There was just too much dragging out of the plot. I was very confused by the ending, it seemed disjointed. I don't know if I am going to read book 2 if there is one. This isn't one that I would recommend.

Fan and Supporter....But this was a disappointment and let down...

Where to begin? First off I was somewhat disappointed at the age of the characters. I didn't know I was going to be reading a teen romance. Second the situations were just not realistic. I can not imagine a woman letting another woman take her 16 year old daughter away without a fight or word and for the daughter to go willingly was not realistic. I understand she wanted to see how her dad lives but come on? Third how sheltered was she that she didn't know about sex at 16? She had all social media and a best friend that was not sheltered and a mother to whom it states they were really close and a whole family of cousins she was raised around and ain't no one talked about boys? Ain't nobody talk to her or have girl talks? Fourth how was she groomed but she was never allowed to see or be around anything but all of a sudden she turns into baby Valentina? She did too much whining. One minute she's clueless and the next she's a smart girl who can shoot better than Clint Eastwood?? This story just wasn't realistic to ME. I'm not dishing stars for what previous works were I'm dishing on how this book was and the grammatical errors and unfinished sentences and all that which took more away from the book. I am in no way trying to bash the book or the author because I support her and her works but this one just didn't cut it for me.

She will be his strength!

Blue has done it again! Lorenzo and Victoria are giving me life! Their beginning is so cute and the instant love they have for each is explosive. Although Victoria is young, she's wise beyond her years. She brings a fresh perspective to life for Lorenzo, so much so that he starts to embrace his future, as long has she's by his side and his wife. He wants to shield her from the 'family business' after all she's his beautiful princess. But he knows he can't lie to her and still keep her in his life so he tells her things no other wives have ever been allowed to know; but only what she needs to know. She struggles with her relationship with her father and her need for him to just do something for her not out guilt but just because she's his daughter. She knows that Lorenzo is her soulmate but while trying be honest with her and come clean about his part in her family drama, Lorenzo hurts her and breaks her heart. The family dynamic for Lorenzo is crazy and hard for him to wrap his mind around it. He's running from his destiny but soon realizes that he can't have Victoria if he's turns his back on his family. But even with story of his father and Maria and that messed up situation, it's like the fates planned Lorenzo and Victoria's union from the beginning.
Book 1 is a teaser and prequel all in one! This backstory is a setup for so much to come; you can feel it! So looking forward to the next installment!

This ain't it

I really like Blue Saffire's books normally but this just wasn't good. Victoria got on my nerves but then I realized I'm reading about a teenager. The story wasn't very engaging and barely any love scenes. I just didn't care about the characters at all. I skimmed through a few chapters because it was so long and contained too many unnecessary details. I'd say skip this

Good book.......But could've be great

If not for all the grammatical errors this would have been a great beginning to a great Series. But the errors ....OMG!!!! They were ridiculous. I think this is it 1st draft from 2009 or something ,cause these were all beginner mistakes. PLEASE do a better job on the next installment or that will be the end for me

SKIP IT-
Not good. Not good at all. I don't care what any of the 3/4/5 star reviews state, this book is not what you have come to love or expect from this author. Aside from the MANY grammatical errors, it was redundant, sluggish, and a boring read. I honestly do not think this was written by Blue Saffire. The dialogue was stiff, simplistic, and juvenile. This book was so long, and yet nothing exciting happened. Victoria was annoying and immature. I could care less about any of the characters. I skimmed a great deal and constantly found myself checking the cover to make sure I was reading a Blue Saffire book. Not sure if I'll bother with continuing this "saga". Read at your own risk.

It's only the beginning

Wow just wow. Once again you have brought me something I couldn't put down and said screw everything. Lo and Vicks story has me like they truly understand and love each other when it comes down to it. Blue I love the way you visualize the story for us. All of the details. As long as you pay attention. Lol. I can't wait for more from this couple seriously very intriguing. Thank you! Queen keep on writing and bringing me life!

Unexpectef Surprise

I had no intentions of reading this book but I am glad I did. I am a fan of most of what Ms. Saffire writes and 1 am usually not disappointed. When I read this books description I was not sure what to expect so weeks went by and one day I said, "why not". I'm really glad I had that moment bc I am vested in Lo's and Vicky's story. I cannot wait to read the books that follow. This was an unexpected but pleasant surprise. I wld recommend this book to anyone (there are some grammatical errors but not enough to take away from the story). I cannot wait to see what happens to the cast of characters introduced in this book. I cannot wait to see how Lo and Vic grow and navigate their world. But also, almost as much as I want to read about Lo and Vic, I want to read about her mother, LaKeisha. There is a great story there waiting to be written. I want to see her find her happiness, with or without Venny. I hope she has a story. Maria got her happy when her son acknowledged her. She is a wife, not a happy one but she chose her life. Keisha was so young when she met and fell in love w Venny. She gave up a lot to love him and be with him. I think bc of her age when she met Venny she did not know what she would have to sacrifice to with him. I know many won't sympathize with her bc she was and may still be Venny's mistress; however, I do. I hope she gets her HEA. I'm waiting for the continuation of this series. Bring on more of their world and let Keisha have a voice. Thank you Ms. Saffire for another enjoyable read.

Not my cup of tea

This was hard for me to give 1 star for this book, especially since I really enjoy reading Blue Saffire's books. But this book just didn't reach the 5 stars that the other books she wrote has given.

But lets just jump right in.

I did not really care for the ML and the FL, Lorenzo, and Victoria. I found myself forcing myself to finish reading this book. It was on the boring side and I felt like it kind of drag on way to much. Victoria was very much a wild tornado, just going out of control. It made me frustrated reading about her. Then her parents situation is annoying as well. Because how is it that your her mother, but you allow her father to hit her, and not only that was going to allow him to attack her again. In front of everyone in the store no less. That made me more then pissed off, but you want to be upset because you didn't know anything about her engagement. BUT you don't get mad at the fact that he attack your child, AND the fact that your the mistress. Nope that was too annoying to read.

I couldn't even find anything good about this book. From Lorenzo father giving him a black eye, and again that okay??? HOW? Then the fact that Lorenzo is 20 but not acting like an adult, he kept giving me teenage vibes. I also can't get with the fact that he's an adult flirting with a teenager. I just can't get pass the age difference here. Maybe if she was already 18 when they met, that's one thing but no.

This book wasn't the book for me, but others might like it.

Absolutely so Beautiful and Enjoyable

What a beautiful and entertaining marvelous story it's so full of suspense and romance. I really enjoyed these characters they are so amazing and great together. I really enjoyed the families loyalty and togetherness. Then you add in the drama along with tons of emotions plus some intriguing twists then you have a story that's full of feelings and so captivating that it's awesome and the suspense with the couple is great and on point. Lorenzo and Victoria are have been arranged to be married in a part of the family transition, before he meets Victoria he was fighting father orders but when they falls in love the hurt and suspense begins . Their relationship has loads of love and secrets but discovery is fantastic I must say this is truly marvelous story and I'm so happy that I'm a fan of this author. So if you enjoy a story that has awesome characters with great chemistry with some violence and thrilling romance that in the end will bring a smile to your face because their relationship which is such a delight and pleasurable experience but let's not forget that even the secondary characters are great. There is one thing I wish for and that is for more because I hate for a great thing to end. But overall this story is well worth the sleepless night because I couldn't put my reader away until the end. I'm hoping there's second story for I will be all over it the minute I find it.

OMG.... Another great one

What can I say.... MS.Blue, you are truly one in a millions... This is by far the biggest "WOW" I believe anyone reading this story is gonna want there own Lo and Vic... I know I do.
MS. Blue has once again make a believer out of me that everyone has he/her soulmate out there and keep on believing and wishing and hoping that it will come soon...
This story has once again showed and proved to me that there could be a love like this out there for anyone and each and everyone of us... Although Victoria was almost getting soooo on my nerves, but her bad ass attitude was "dyannnng" and Lorenzo, wellll ( ima kneed a fan soon ) Lorenzo was the best dam alpha I have read specially when he met with Victoria's uncle on her mothers side( you will not want to get out of this area in the book too soon- for all of those who like your tough, and do not give a flying f##k of who is here or not).... Man this book was the bomb and I am so SAD that I had actually finished it in 4 days:)))I sooooo took my time with it, by reading it soooooo slow but I ended it finish it any ways and went back to look for more... I do so suggest to pick yourself a copy and enjoy it by your self because you will be pondering, wondering, questioning, and finally accepting that we might be next to have our ow Lorenzo or Victoria.

Great read

I will start off by saying this is a YA book, which I avoid-that’s not my lane.
The way the book started and ended did not lead me to know this was a YA-but y’all this book is such a great read!
Lorenzo is pissed at his dad because he has to enter into an arranged marriage.
Victoria doesn’t know anything about the arrangement. One day at the mall the two meet and sparks fly instantly. Only problem is that Lorenzo recognizes Victoria even though he’s never seen a picture of her.
I don’t want to give any spoilers for the book. It hits so many emotions. Watching Lorenzo and Victoria fall in love despite the obstacles in their way was heartfelt. There was definitely more than what meets the eye in this book. When you thought you knew what was going on, another twist.
I loved the interaction between Lorenzo and Victoria’s mother’s family-I could read a whole book on them!
This was such a great read-I enjoyed reading it. But the series is incomplete (as of 11/25/24). I can’t wait for the rest of the series to drop. Blue did it again with this book!this is also the first book by Blue-there are many grammatical errors, although distracting it doesn’t take away from the story.

I was a little skittish of the story because of Victoria's age, but you did an excellent job of telling Victoria's story. You kept her innocence (maybe a little too innocent consider her best friend/cousin and the fact that she was on all social media) but gave her a kick-ass attitude and wisdom and maturity beyond her age (loved it).

I had a few issues with the book.
1) Too many grammatical errors were in the book; either you had words in the wrong order or you had a that words completely did not belong. There were at least two or three in every chapter.
2) The story line about how Victoria went to live with her father. I understand her being a daddy's girl and wanting to live with her father, but let's be realistic.
3) Victoria's mother and her family relationship. One minute, LaKeshia was disowned by her family due to the fact that she has a family with a married man; the only interaction was the mother's trust fund placed in an account for the kids. But later in the story, Victoria and her mother's family have an excellent relationship and grew up around each other.

Awesome!! Ready for the Continuing Story!

Loved it!!! This book has all the elements that pull you into the story and holds your attention from beginning to end. An intricate plot, many surprises, family secrets. Lorenzo and Victoria (H/ h) are both loveable and charismatic. I love how Lorenzo is protective, possessive and his strong character and lets not forget his sexiness. I am amazed at Victoria's strength, independence, her intuition, how sassy she is and how she is also possessive, protective of loved ones and yes she's gorgeous! I am captivated by the characters and their roles in this story. There were moments in the book that had me laughing so hard, moments that brought me too tears and fits of anger. So, yes I got into my feelings, in a nutshell, I loved this book!! I am ready to see what happens next with Lorenzo, Victoria and their families.

Just love Vicky and Lo!

What a dedicated couple. There love and respect for each other transcended the norms of the time. Each one is the other's protector and best friend. I like the fact that they can be around each other and not succumb to knocking boots all the time.

Blue wrote a detailed book on young love that went beyond the mores of the time for young adults. These were complicated characters being forced to grow up before their time, to deal with real serious adult matters that grown folks should not have to deal with. Despite that, Victoria and Lorenzo met the challenges of their families, each family having their own secrets.

This was an enjoyable book to read.

WAS THIS REALLY A BLUE SAFFIRE BOOK?!

I absolutely love Blue's work, but this book right here! LAWD! I understand it was one of her first books and she wanted to finish it, but you could've updated it to more mature characters and got an editor. I understand this is a beginning of a series and we needed a background, but it could have been fleshed out a bit more. It literally took me 4 days to read this book and the struggle was real. Victoria was an unbelievable character.. you and your mom are extremely close, but you let some other woman just "take" you and plan a big ass party and wedding without your mom?! Unrealistic. And Lorenzo had potential but never reached it. I get the storyline Blue, you just need a better outline.

I like it but not lived it

Honestly I was surprised when I read this book. I love all the books from Blue but this one was too much between the mouse of words to the jumping around. I got frustrated about half way through but I kept reading anyway so I could finish. Victoria just felt incomplete as well as Lo and I feel there is more to this story that has yet to be fleshed out but really the prologue and ending are years from what was in the book. It is a good premise if you can get through and not let the grammatical errors bother you much. I hope she goes back and re-edits this book. Till next time.

Young adult book at most...

Ok, where to begin. Victoria was a 17 year old perfect princess and Lorenzo was an overgrown child at 20 years old. Both from crime families with secrets no top of secrets. I really skimmed more than 70% of this book hoping it would get better, it didn’t. There were so many times I had to replace words the author used with the words that should have been used. Very frustrating when a book isn’t edited or proofread for grammar and spelling. Especially when a book is supposed to be for adults having at least a 9th grade vocabulary. Never again!

Loving Lo and Vicky
I had read a few bad reviews on this book and started to pass this book up. I
decided to read it anyway and I am glad I did, I know some reviewers stated that no
the way a mother would allow someone to take their child.I pretty much said the same thing and they felt as if he was too old for her. After reading the book and hearing the Author perspective on a live cast then I understood better as to what was going on. The age difference didn't bother me because my dad was eight years older than my mom. I can't wait to see where the Author take Lo and Vic story and the rest of the gang.

I GIVE THIS BOOK A ZERO!!!!!

There is NO WAY Blue Saffire wrote this book!!! If she did, her talent is slipping, and I dont think that's possible! If I wanted to read a book about teenage girls and half grown men, I would have read Judy Bloom! This book was too long to be this bad. It was almost silly! No, not almost, it was silly!!! AND a complete waste of my time! I skipped through most of this trainwreck after a out 55% just so I could get to this review, and leave my opinion to warn others! Thank goodness for Kindle Unlimited, because I would have been demanding my money back!!!

Teen romance

This was a well written novel, but I felt it was more a teen romance. Victoria was 16 and Leo 20. It was about falling in love and dealing with both sides of strong and powerful Italian mafia families. I was over the constant remainder of how wealthy both kids were with their 20-car garage with the Rolls Royce and Asthon Martin each was given or decided to buy at the drop of a hat. Or Victoria with her five or so homes she was given by her father.
Honestly, I wanted more action(her showing her power as a Bella) and romance with them as adults. I will put this on my YA list.

I really liked this story

even though Its different to Blue's other stories this took a little while to get going but hey once it did I was well into it. I'm looking forward to the next instalment, because I have a lot of questions, I was hoping to hear more about Victoria's mum and the relationship she has with Victoria's father, so glad we met her mum's family and the fact that they're wealthy in their own right just adds to the intrigue, smashing story can't wait for the next.
