Can his whacky neighbor heal this single father’s broken heart?
Blair McKay has always been quirky. Her grandmother has often told her to keep things to herself so others didn’t roll their eyes. Sometimes it’s hard though. Especially when she finds a guy she cares for and wants him to know everything about her.
Philip Aire is a single father trying to make it work. His sexy neighbor is a much-needed distraction and his daughter has grown attached to Blair too. He doesn’t care that most in the neighborhood roll their eyes at her profession or whacky ways and words. All he cares about is her…that is until her words and insight start to make him wonder if she is really so far out there after all
I received a complimentary copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
This is another enjoyable story in Natalie Ann’s “Paradise Place” series.
This one is about Blair McKay, a “quirky” woman who inherits her grandmother’s shop, The Healing Touch. This shop sells vegetables, herbs and spices, all of which she grows in her own backyard. She also sells health supplements, handmade candles and lotions, plus some other “whimsical” products.
Philip Aire is a widower with a young daughter. He has just moved to Paradise Place so he can move forward with his life after the death of his wife. As it turns out, he moves next door to Blair. When these two lonely people meet, there is an instant attraction.
Unfortunately, between Philip’s responsibilities toward his young daughter, Livi, and Blair’s duties as the owner of a busy shop, they cannot find time to date. Therefore, they willingly spend most of their time together as a threesome. Then, after Livi goes to sleep, they spend their private time together, sitting in Philip’s living room, just talking and getting to know each other.
I enjoyed following this love story between two people who are total opposites
Three years after tragedy struck, Philip decided to move to another city and start over. Philip had no idea that his new neighbor in Paradise Place would be a big part of his new life. Blair had always been whimsical, and some might even call her wacky at times when she would tell them about her dreams. Could she have ever dreamed about Philip and his daughter Livi coming into her life? Could Philip love again? Could Blair find the family that she has always hoped for? You will need to travel to Paradise Place to find out. Natalie Ann is a wonderful author of Contemporary Romance. She writes about love, laughter, and trials that real life families go through. The Paradise Place Series is one that you should not miss. Whereas this is the third book in the series, it can be read as a standalone.
I liked Blair's holistic healing shop with lotions, plants candles, and jewelry. It sounds like a calming place to be. Philip was struggling being a single father to an energetic precocious seven year old and his neighbor Blair is the first woman he's interested in after his wife's death. Blair is really sensitive about her dreams and thinks they tell the future, which becomes a bone of contention between them. He's a science professor and she's more new age, so this was an opposites attract romance. I laughed when Blair gave him the aloe plant and told him to let the soil dry out and then soak it. That's my kind of plant. I love that she grows a large vegetable and plant garden in her yard and wish I had more of green thumb. Her fathers and cousins were a riot and I'm looking forward to reading more about them in future books.
Interesting story about a little girl who hears and sees things others don't. Her Nanna told her to keep it to herself so others don't make fun of her. But she doesn't. When she gets older her neighbor has a daughter and is at his wits end. He likes her and so does his daughter, but can he get past her unusual ways. HEA
A cute and sweet story about a widow, his adorable seven-year-old daughter, and their very friendly next-door neighbor. A nice, simple comfort read. It ended fairly abruptly, and I would have enjoyed more time with the three of them could’ve been happy as a family at the end.
I liked it, it’s just not something I care to revisit and I didn’t feel inspired to read another in the series. The dialogue felt a little to stiff and formal I’d that makes sense. I didn’t connect with the characters, and really wasn’t invested in the romance.
I totally enjoyed reading this book.Great storyline and characters with romance and steamy sex scenes. I will continue to follow this author and I look forward to reading more of her work.

This is a cute story with a lot of interesting characters and interactions. It was a little slow but entertaining. I like this author and thought she stretched herself with this plot.
