Blood makes us a family, the blood just isn’t our own.
Morana Valdis is finally free of her monster, or so she thinks. Living in the snowy mountains of Aspen Colorado with her family she no longer concerns herself with the spilled blood from her past.
But when that past blood shows up on her doorstep demanding her help, secrets will be uncovered and the truth might tear apart the family Morana has worked so hard to hold onto.
Can The Reaper become a savoir, or will her monster demand more blood be spilled?
TBH, I really liked the first 2 books but this third one felt a bit rushed esp. with the addition of another guy in her harem. What I liked about the series and the writing is that all the MMCs had their distinct voices. I also liked Morana as an FMC - she is kickass and she did grow a lot in the books, you can tell based on her internal monologue. She was cold and feisty in the first 2 books but on the third book her voice was bordering on sounding whiny. And I think every chapter, you get reminded that she is a blood thirsty murderer who likes to stab people at random and wear black to hide the blood. It was a bit of an overkill. Overall, I still liked it, I skimmed on some parts esp. the spice, just cause it was popping at random - I felt like there was no real build up? And some focal arguments weren't really resolved? Like with Talin and how he wanted to "change" her, there was not much conversation and everything was just accepted as is. And I get it, she does deserve all the love, but I was just hoping that there was more communication about it. Meh. I liked it, it helped with my reading slump.

Bloodlines is the third book in The Reapers Series and is definitely a wild adventure. Marana learns she has more family than she knew about and they're actually blood related. Facts are revealed that were hidden to protect her and the truth comes out about ones she didn't even know about. The growth we see in Marana from book 2 to 3 is absolutely phenomenal, but don't get it twisted, her monster is still alive and thirsting.
When she finds herself looking into a mirror image of her own eyes and he's asking for her help, she's hesitant at best. When she finds out where he's from, well that just opened another door the group wasn't prepared to deal with. Turns out her mother has been taken and now her little brother needs help getting her back. As we follow the story we learn of more connections on the two towns and that all the people are connected to Marana's life. The bloodshed is absolutely beautiful and Marana meets her psychopathic match when Kesden's monster plays with hers.
I love a good murdery (not sure that’s a legitimate word) story full of serial killing psychopaths...because let’s be honest, they all are a little psychotic. The storyline was probably my favorite part because of the big focus on family, both blood related and not. Learning of Morana’s family history with her mother and Aether was not something I ever expected to read when I started this series. I loved it all!!
The best thing about this series is that each book has its own plot line that focuses on the characters but never entwining into a bigger plot line that spans the entire series like the end of the world and prophecies. The whole series just follows Morana and her harem (which grows with every book 😍) as they deal with different problems that arise in their every day lives as hit men for the mob.
I love Morana as character but I loved her more in this book than the previous 2. She is starting to realize that there is more to life than just being the right hand that does the dirty work and she is worthy of being loved. She is realizing that her family, whether they are blood related or not, is what is important to her. She will do whatever she can to protect and avenge her family who she loves fiercely and the author portrayed this beautifully in this book. While she is starting to calm down on the murdering spree and not working for the mob, she is still a total bad*** with a blade.
I highly recommend this series to people who enjoy some sexy mob hitmen with good dose of murder.
Love love love. Morana is everything. The Queen. The Reaper. Everyone fears her as they should! I love how family is being introduced to her through out the series. How she is getting the feel of how to love and how she should be loved. And she is loved fiercely. She would do anything for her family. I love how freeing she is becoming but still has her darkness. And I'm excited to see what is happening next! Omg that ending!! 😭💚💚💚💚
I have really enjoyed reading these books. I simply cannot wait for the next book. The love scenes between the group is so HOT!! The FMC is such a murderous woman who has a loyal streak a mile wide. I read the books too quickly. I am going to have to start at the beginning again. I really recommend this book. What a roller coaster of emotions I felt while reading. Happy reading!
Oh. My. God. Bloodlines is EVERYTHING! My mind has gone blank trying to come up with words on how this book has made me feel. I've laughed a few times. Swooned so hard over the guys. Then proceeded to cry and feel so deeply for Morana. We get some long awaited answers and delicious steamy times. I genuinely can't wait to see what the Reapers can get up to in the next book!
I couldn't get through this fast enough, and yet, now that I have I'm upset it's over. This series just gets better and better. I can't wait to see what's next for our favorite bloodthirsty monster😍
I absolutely love the Reapers. It’s not like any other story I’ve read and it’s written so well, it was impossible not to love it for me. I can’t wait to see what’s in store next!
I might have binge read the whole series so far in a day... I couldn’t put it down!!!! Bo does such a good job explaining how Morana acts, what drives her and her tendencies. Great plot and always, great scenes!!!!
I’m loving this series. Morana is so exciting to read about. I love her little quirks and how she loves to be stabs. And can I say OH Shit that cliffhanger is the best. I’m looking forward to reading the next book. Thank you Bo I love your books.
Sigh, this is my second time reading this series and I love it even more. Inthink we all have a little Morana in us. A monster that we tuck away. She’s accepting of hers and has the perfect support system for hers. Love love love this series!
Another solid book wrapping up the main underlying mystery arc. We gain more backstory to our new addition from the last book and more answers for our FMC and her backstory. We are left with an opening for the next book, but things seem to be wrapped up along the main mystery.
The Reapers are back Morana and her guys have been living a quieter life with out committing any murders. Until a family member that Morana doesn’t even know existed turns up asking for her help. So in true Reaper style they go to help and let’s just say there is a lot of bloodshed and people getting stab with the pointy end off Morana knife. I love Morana and her sarcastic comments just put a smile on my face and as for the guys they love her so much and are willing to do anything to make sure she does not get hurt I have to say I do love Kesden character will be interesting to see how they all get on.There has been a couple off surprises in the book and and favourite one was with Morana and Nash I was so happy and the other Biggie was long lost family members coming out off the wood work wow didn’t see that coming and Bo Reid you did it again can’t wait for the next book especially after the end off this book wow.
Blood and family that sums this book up perfectly. Morana (FMC) and her guys Hunter, Ranger and Talin go back to her roots (literally!) to help her family and to find out answers for herself. Book 3 has all the same level of blood and stabbiness (yes thats a word lol) but it shows more of a softer side to Morana and her family (well not like the Partridge family but you kinda get my point). I cant praise this series up enough if you like books a bit darker. I do and this one is bloody brilliant. Absolutely loved it!!!!
Another epic read from Bo Reid. In the 3rd instalment is the reaper series Morana and her beaus are back giving us more mystery, intrigue and of course murder, mayhem and of course sarcasm. This series just keeps getting better and better and I have to say I love it. I love Morana and her beaus and everything about this entire series and the focus around family. Family is always a theme but this takes it to new heights. That twist at then end...well has me gaping. With more twists and turns and of course murder, the goddess of death is back and more bad a** then ever. With new rules “Questions first. Torture second. Murder Third”. Says it all! Definitely recommend reading! Great job Bo Reid! Thanks for the amazing series. More please haha.
I have no really good comparisons to help the newly initiated cult members, the cult of reapers, to truly understand how these novels seduce and tease your senses and sensibilities. I’d almost say if Dexter the television series was an X rated romance full of love, group sex, murder and self discovery you’d be almost there? But it’s still not right. Our small of stature titan of terror and strength comes further in accepting love and accepting herself with every novel and you can’t help but love her broken beauty. She’s survived deaths, torture, rape and abandonment, partially through slaughtering her aggressors, but she holds this pristine belief in those she loves and her duty to protect them the only way she knows how. By laying waste to all that would ever even possibly hurt them. Tons of triggers and flexible morality a must but the love and lust are delicious
When the book started I was like" look at this fancy new reaper". I loved that we got to see the growth that occured with Morana but she is still the reaper we know and love. She has made great changes but the only constant is death.
I absolutely love this series sooooo much. The characters in this series have so much depth and you really get in their heads. And the relationship in this book, I absolutely adore them.
I can not say enough how much I can't wait for the next one. If you are not reading this series...WHAT ARE YOU DOING!
Morana and her Reapers are back bloodier than ever, and I’m all for the murder! It starts out with Morana trying to live a less stabby life with Hunter, Ranger, Talin, Nash and Emma. That is until a surprise family member comes running to her for help. Morana and gang travel to Talin’s hometown to find out more about his father’s death, and rescue the last person Morana ever wants to see. Along the way you get to know her new brother a bit better, and find out some surprises Aeron Valdis left for Morana. I LOVED this book in all its homicidal wicked glory! Although the hints you get at the very end will leave you begging for Redemption!
Book 3 was amazing. Still full of murder and mayhem of course but with a softer side. It picks up 2 years after book 2 with the same flashbacks we're used to. Talin has now been fully integrated as part of the family and family os the prevailing theme in this book. We learn about Morana's mother, a brother she never knew existed, a half brother who already adores her and a new adsition to the harem. This was a great read as expected and I can't get enough of Morana and her family!
Holy s&*#! The Reapers are back!!! I have been so excited for this book and it didn't disappoint one bloody bit! I can't say too much because I don't want to give anything away, just get it NOW! You won't be disappointed! There are twists and turns you won't see coming and just WOW! I need more now. Bravo Bo no one does stabby greatness like you!
Bloody Fantastic as usual! Morana thought she had put the monster to bed. Unfortunately blood always finds a way to make a mess! Once again Morana has to unleash her beast. This is another amazing instalment of the Reaper series, these books just keep getting better and better. Fantastic work Bo
I loved book 3! You are an amazing author and your books never disappoint. I really enjoyed seeing all the the characters move about family and acceptance. I cannot wait for the next one!
I love this series! Let me just start start off with that. Bo Reid is freaking amazing! This installment definitely didn’t disappoint. It captivated me from start to finish! I can’t wait to read the next one!
