She followed up that early success with a more commercial piece in the sixth grade… “Why My Mom Loves To Drink Coke”. No advance for that one, but she won a six-pack of Coke… remember those great little bottles?
In junior high Janice began circulating her work to a wider audience. A dozen or so notebook pages stapled together made the rounds in some particularly boring classes, with the riveting tales carefully hidden behind textbooks.
High school meant the big time… editor of the school newspaper, the Maroon and White. Janice used her insightful editorials to delve into such meaty subjects as “locker room odor” and “why we need two-ply tissue in the student bathrooms”.
College brought lots of writing, but very little of it creative… four years later, Janice stepped into the adult world as a fully certified elementary teacher.
Despite motherhood, full-time employment, and keeping up with an “always into something” husband, Janice never lost her love of writing or the desire to be published. In 1996 she realized her long-time dream when Kensington Publishing bought her first book, Sweetheart. That exciting moment was followed by the sales of two more books in the Precious Gem line.
In the fall of 2002, Janice left the classroom to pursue writing full-time.

Muchas gracias por el regalo! En esta cuarentena cae preciso. Y llegaste tú... me gustó. Lo único malo que le veo es que es muy corto. Me quedé con las ganas de más páginas de Cate y Brody. Me gustó el personaje de Cate, aunque aveces sentía que estaba siendo injusta con el pobre de Brody, es una mujer fuerte, que trata de pensar con la cabeza fría y con hechos. Siempre priorizando sus necesidades y las del bebé. Siendo responsable y no haciéndose la víctima ni la desdichada. Brody es temeroso y lo puede entender, es joven, libertino, coqueto y la noticia que le da Cate le cae como balde de agua fría con cubitos de hielo, sin embargo a lo largo de la historia se recompone y asume su responsabilidad y trata en lo posible darle alternativas a Cate para que se sienta amada, cómoda y contenta con el. Me gustó 100% recomendable.

Muy buena lectura
La historia muy bien, tal vez me faltó que tuviera algo más de contenido, muy ligera la temática. Siento que me quedo a deber ese final, o más bien fue el epílogo.

Es una historia que lees de un tirón, donde los personajes nos llevan de la mano para conocer su particular historia, donde una abuela no tan típica te sacará sonrisas...

Se lee rapidísimo... me gustó como hace mucho un harlequin no me gustaba ya que no es de chantajes ni nada que se le parezca. Fue muy ligero de leer. Lo malo es que el epílogo te deja colgado.

Como de costumbre, leo mis novelas rosas.
Ésta fue interesante hasta que leí que la protagonista estaba embarazada y todo lo demás lo sentí como cliché.

No está mal la historia pero se queda un poco corta, podría extenderse un poco más. Y el final con el hermano, que queda en el aire no me gustó nada. Debería continuar la historia desde ahí.
