Nobody said the Apocalypse was supposed to be pretty.

But even in a world poisoned by nuclear war, beauty can bloom. And in Cerena Lightmoon, there is a terrible, relentless beauty.

If you can get past the rage in her heart.

Born of conflict, trained since childhood, she is the perfect warrior.

Deadly as she is beautiful, her twin swords have carved justice and hope for humans in a world where the paranormal is now normal, and the creatures from our deepest nightmares now roam the daylight.

But now, she's been handed a mission that she's not ready for.

Because unbeknownst to her, the gods of myth are just as real as the creatures they've spawned. And she's about to be sent to the front lines.

She doesn't know what she's walking into, all she knows is that her two new allies are the sexiest men she's ever met, and sins she's never considered before now sound very, very enticing.

The war is coming. And in this hunt, the Huntress might find herself the prey...

Elizabeth Hartwell is the fantasy pen name for a Wall Street Journal and USA TODAY bestselling contemporary romance author, who lives between fantastical worlds.

Elizabeth started out writing paranormal romance, so it's only fitting for her to make her return to the genre with her new Guardians of The Fae series.

When she's not off battling creatures of the night you can find her writing about her adventures, or arguing with her evil step-mother.

Elizabeth writes about love and all things crazy. Vampires, werewolves, witches, the undead--you name it!

She warmly welcomes you into the worlds she inhabits, but beware, they're not for the faint of heart!

This is the only chance Cerena, and her men, will have to save the world.
After coming to the conclusion that this must be done, and good not evil must prevail, Cerena and her family-Tym, Lance and Brandon are all in with their new relationship. They vow to live together and love Cerena as equals. Their bond is like no other and it strengthens them.
Although there is not much time for them to bask in their new found love, they need to defeat Bane and save Earth. Bane the god of death and darkness now possesses the key and that means life as Cerena knows it will never be the same. The fight continues against Bane, what's left of Lucian's werewolves and Solace Hunters. Cerena learns to harness her powers as Brandon uses his darkness to overpower evil. Tym and Lance continue to fight, not only as descendants of the gods, but as the warriors they are. But nothing can prepare Cerena when Bane decides to up his game. With the help of her men and the gods who came before them, Cerena and her team take up the fight. War is here and losing is not an option.

I loved the original concepts implemented in this series , especially SOA.

I don't know why the rating is this low. ~In comparison with other books with similar rating this one is waaaaay better. I almost missed reading it because of it.

It’s a good end for the series and I enjoyed it, but I think all in all it was the weakest book in the series. Still really good though.

Good book. Good ending!

I really enjoyed this book. From the 1st book in the series, to the last book and it's ending. Very short, very sweet and very satisfying. The characters were well defined (you can picture each one clearly). The fight scenes are thorough and believable. The ending was satisfying also.

Had so much potential but took me so long to finish. By the third book I was honestly done with the book and just wanted to move on to my next series
